Alec turned his head to the side and slowly opened his eyes to look at her through his hair. "I don't mind it, it will probably put me to sleep though. Just wake me up at five if I'm not up by then," he asked before turning his head back to its normal position and closing his eyes.
He was happy that he was going to catch some sleep today anyways, he was usually up till three at these parties, and he knew that he would need to have enough energy for school tomorrow too.
Busy, busy man, he thought to himself with a smile, wondering if that's how it was with rock stars.

"It's pronounced like the word pain. That may help you." Atamia nodded, then stepped past the girl who had mysteriously appeared in her doorway, bumping the girl's chest with her shoulder accidentally. She tossed a hand up in apology as she headed outside.

~!~

"Yep. That one." Sam smiled at her second comment. "Not really. I've been told that I'm kind of...girly. Being Heterochromic and what not."

((BTW, being heterochromic means you have two different colored eyes))

Edward had continued to play when Elizabeth entered, glancing up only briefly from his instrument and back down before she'd even begun to remove her shirt. At her small exclamation he looked up again and quite royally flubbed the next note. He was almost too surprised to be embarrassed and stared at her mouth agape for a long moment before he finally looked away. He began to play again as though nothing was out of the ordinary. "Would you like me to step outside for a few moments?" He offered politely with his eyes on the floor.

Ben Stepped closer to him and put a hand against his jaw. He was gorgeous, just beautiful. Which to her meant only on thing." So you're gay?" She asked. Her voice was completely serious. "I mean I'm cool about it if you are, but I just want to know man." She rubbed his cheek bone with her thumb softly. "I don't want any big secrets between us, ok?" She smiled warmly and put her other hand up to the other side of her face. He was much taller than she, but to her, height did not matter in the least.

"Because that Closet is not big enough for the both of us." She giggled at her own joke. "And how does having different colored eyes make you girly?" She added one of her hands went up to brush his hair out of his face. She liked to be able to actually see his face, at least once so that she could remember what he really looked like, Without the curtain of hair to hid behind.

Edward nodded. "Oh, oh, I see... haha," he commented. "Pain," he repeated, though he knew it was no where near the spelling. He dropped his things and turned, watching her step outside. "Oi, where you going?" he asked her, as she seemed to walk away from him.

When she had finally recovered from the shock of seeing a guy in the room, she shook her head momentarily, a bright smile appearing on her face. "Oh... No, it's alright. I guess I'll have to get used to this, right? You are my roommate after all," she said softly as she threw her shirt over to her bed, her eyes still on him. His body, in her opinion, was beautiful, chiseled in all the right places, and though she was not fat, her body was not as toned as his. But, she wasn't thinking her body wasn't attractive... She was slim, shaped, nice... Maybe not perfect, but nice.

She plopped herself on her bed, looking through bags. "What are you playing?" she asked him as she watched him curiously, amazed at the beauty of the sound issuing forth from the cello he played.

She shrugged slightly and put her arms in position, lowering the bow to touch the strings. Long, quiet notes came from the instrument, it sounded like a sad song. Many of her songs were like that, with delicate sounds and a sweet, if forlorn, melody. This was a slow one, one of her favourites as well. She'd composed it on a rainy day in dim light. Anne turned to face the window and closed her eyes, feeling the slight warmth of sun hit her pale skin. She was in full concentration now, and the song flowed from her violin as if by sheer magic, suddenly, the pace picked up and the notes became shorter and higher, not as bittersweet as before, perhaps even cheerful. Suddenly it changed again, becoming even more morose then before. She realized suddenly, why she had written this piece. It was rainy, yes, but at the same time, light. Her father had called her, and she'd been overjoyed to hear he was attending one of her recitals. That was when the piece picked up, but again, almost a week later, days before her recital, he'd called and told her that he couldn't make it. That was when she was just finishing the song, she scrapped the third half of it and rewrote the melody of that part. Yes, her songs all described emotions she'd felt, the underlying tone was almost always sadness.

For some reason, Alec couldn't find a way to fall prisoner to the sandman. The sad music that flowed through his ears was beautiful, and something that he wanted to do with all of his heart. I guess I've found the new instrument I want to play, and my new teacher, he thought as he opened his eyes and stared at the petite girl creating the tune. He continued to gaze at her, even when she finished the composition, and tried to make out the emotions that danced along her features. It seemed as if she was remembering something, a depressing something no doubt. For some reason, he had the urge to cheer her up and make her happy again. He wanted to erase that sadness and replace it with, happiness?
"Hey, you should play with us one night. The violin would be good for one of the songs that we do..." he stated, thinking of her music and his together.
f**, he imagined Demetri stating from his fruity thoughts.

"No, I'm not gay. I'm a desperasexual. It means I'm lonely and I'll take whatever I can get." Sam nodded. "I haven't the faintest idea. I guess it has to do with the fact that this one perverted comic had a main female character who was heterochromic. And it got to be pretty popular, so now it makes me 'girly'." He shrugged. His roommate, Ben, was pretty cool. He could tell they were going to get along pretty well.

"Outside. I was headed out when this girl knocked." Atamia shrugged, then continued on her way.

[[ 'ooc Okay, so, I'm gonna change my character's names. The guy will now be Devon and the girl, Serena. It's just easier for me because that's the usual names of my role play characters. I don't know why I thought I'd be able to change them... >___< ]]

Devon shrugged as he watched Atamia leave and looked up at the girl that was standing in their doorway. "Uhm... So, do you need help?" he asked her, looking at her curiously. Atamia, he figured, was a strange one. Though he didn't much like being alone, he figured, from the way the girl acted, that she did... A loner type, maybe, which would be strange to be around because he was such a friendly person... And although he was a jerk at times, he had to admit, he really did love being around people.

Edward looks mildly embarrassed when asked what he was playing. "I am afraid it has no title. I cannot even call it a work in progress; I've not set a single note on manuscript. I simply enjoy playing soothing melodies when I am alone." And stressed, not that he wished to admit that part. He did not intend to start the year off with a reputation for hiding in his room for frequent metal breakdowns. Which was of course an exaggeration, but all the same he would not mention it.

"Oh," Serena said with a smile as she pulled out a clean, white t-shirt from her bag which read "To Write Love on Her Arms" on it. After all, she supported the movement. Pulling the shirt on and over her head, she turned back to face Edward, now sitting cross-legged on her bed. "Well, it's very soothing. I might just have to ask you to play for me on my bad days..." she said jokingly, though in the back of her mind, she had to admit it was true. Although Serena was a free spirit and didn't get angered or stressed easily, she had her days when all she could do was mull around in her room under mild depression and anxiety. Lucky enough, today was not one of those days... Though, she was not complaining at all over the soothing music.

After tuning it, Aaron rested the violin on his chest and drew the bow along it. It was a bad habbit he had, well according to his teachers anyway. Since he had taught himself to play, he held it how he found most comfortable, not in the proper manner. During class he forced himself hold it properly but when alone he allowed himself to play how he wished. After a few minutes of playing, however, he sighed and stopped, lowering the violin to his lap. It wasn't that he was disatisfied with the quality of play, far from that, merely with the feeling playing gave him.

Glancing out the window, Aaron grimaced seeing that it was still raining. He hoped it would let up by tonight so that he would get the chance to go out without being completely drenched. Vaguely he wondered where his roommate was and whether she was stuck out in the rain. But whatever, it wasn't his concern. The name was vaguely familiar but he was quite sure that he had never really had much interaction with her before. Likely he had just heard her name called in the hall or mentioned during dinner or something. Whatever.

Realizing he really should put his clothes in the dryer he stood and put the violin back in its case, resting the hard leather lid closed though not bothering to zip it up. He may not have a similar sense of dedication to music as his classmates, though his love was definately still there, but the instrument meant a lot to him, it was quite old and he took good care of it. Afterall it was the only one he had and the only instrument he could play.

Leaving what dry clothes he had on his bed, along with the violin case, just in case his roommate arrived while he was out, he gathered up his wet clothes and closed the door behind him. Walking along the hallway he took in all that went around him, other students talking, catching up, finding their rooms (or not in the case of one girl, he noticed), tuning instruments, playing music. He smiled softly to himself. He was home.

"I would be my pleasure. So long as you will put up with it on your good days sometimes." One corner of Edward's mouth quirks in a wry little smile. He did tend to play often; every day when there was no one else to be disturbed by it. "Might I ask what you play? You've already seen my Duvessa, my pride and joy. She is my favorite." Edward glances up at Serena once more and his eyes are drawn curiously to the text on her shirt. He cannot place it and shrugs it off as something to look into later if it still lingered in his mind. That decided, he looks to the girl's face instead, as was only proper.

Avery had finally found her room after several units of time had passed. She was dog-tired from carrying the heavy luggage around, and hadn't noticed the boy passing her in the hallway. She dropped her bags on the floor, although she gingerly set the guitar case down, before collapsing onto the bed with a heavy and contented sigh which was dwarfed by the ear-roaring yawn that came from her mouth soon afterwards.

Serena laughed, smiling at him. "I can 'put up' with it any day at any time... Just as long as I'm allowed to get some sleep at night," she said with a nod of her head. Serena felt like she understood where he was coming from. In her opinion, music was all that really mattered... Nothing quite else, and Serena could reminisce on days when she would stay in her room all day, time passing like no other, where she would not, for a moment, put her instrument down unless it was to change to a different instrument.

Upon the question, she glanced at the different cases that held musical instruments. She had, indeed, gone through many phases of music in her life already... She began with the ukulele at a young age, and doubled that with piano. When she had grown tired of that, she switched over to guitar, and just a couple of year ago, had picked up violin also. She wasn't a professional in the things she played, but she played with her heart... That was what truly mattered, after all... In her opinion, at least.

"I play the ukulele, piano, guitar, and violin... And I sing a little bit," she said with a nod as she glanced at her instruments, still waiting to be brought out to breathe. "My passion, for now, is mainly with guitar and violin, though I do enjoy a bit of piano now and then to calm my nerves," she said with a nod. "Do you play anything else?" she asked him curiously.
