Summer walked out of Duskwell and headed for her home for she had already been out for far to long. She could feel the sun coming up. She took off running her speed picking up until she was at her house. A modest two story house that looked as though humans lived in it although non ever had. She ran inside to the basement but locked the door behind her. What she had done was resky, and she was pretty sure the girl saw some of her fang. Oh, well it will make life more interesting she thought to herself. She took off her cloack hung it up and then layed down in her coffin.

The Silent Express lived up to it's name. it slid smoothly and quietly away from the station.
The cars were comfortable and warm. A speaker (yes they have them) said in a tinny voice, "Estimated time to the Terminal, 2 hours. Thank you for riding the Silent Express."
A man in a black cloak moved from the car behind the 'newbie' car, giving a glance to Elise, "Ah. A new one." He gave a grin. His eyes couldn't be seen under the wide brim of his hat, but the man's chin was covered in stubble. His cloak parted slightly to reveal a plethora of Vampire and Werewolf hunting gear.
"Tell Edward that Lewis says 'the red moon isn't a myth.' and tell him I said 'hi.'" The man grinned and moved back to the car behind her. (however, if she looked, there wasn't a car behind hers...)
---
Professor Moreau, age 107 and ranked #5 walked into the council's judgement chamber, looking down at the hunter on trial. Pen in hand, he opened up his book and looking hard at Kirra. "Name?" he asked. His nature of being a vampire was a well kept secret. in fact, his fangs had been filed down, hiding any telltale signs. Only a fellow vampire could tell the difference, or a werewolf, since he had the distinct smell of a vampire.

"Kirra Detritus," She replied, doing her best not to wrinkle her nose at the smell coming from the man.

Elise awoke with a start. An unseen voice announced in roughly two hours, the Silent Express would reach the next terminal. How long have I been sleeping? I feel exhausted though... Elise looked down and saw that she was still clutching a scallop pink purse. The purse seemed to shimmer out of focus, and then it returned to normal. How foolish of me, my magic is draining my energy. No wonder I'm exhausted! Elise tapped into her magic to see if there was much left. She came to a depressing conclusion. There was barely any magic left, only enough to create a minor spell. "Great," she mumbled, "I'm a real nutter to navigate through the Whispershade forest with the amount of magic to create a small flame." The purse shimmered again, and Elise stared at it. Her eyes changed from a clear gray to a bright purple, and she whispered a short incantation. The purse faded out of view, and in its place appeared a large suitcase. Wow I've gone crazy keeping up an illusion for almost a whole day. I probably won't get any decent sleep in two hours, so I might as well prepare for my first test. Dusk was approaching and Elise was filled with a sense of dread. I'm going through the Whispershade at night, I really should stop being so reckless with my life.

Serenity just ran back in the building and grabbed what he asked for, and gave it too him. She waited next to him to see if he needed anything else, and felt a chill go down her spine though she couldn't explain the reason. Probably just the rain. she said to herself in her head. (Brain Dead. I'm sorry. )

Elise opened her suitcase, half of it contained items any person traveling would carry; clothes, money and some food. The other of the suitcase contained items that an onlooker would see as puzzling. There were a lot of odd objects and others that held the vague resemblance to vampire and werewolf hunting tools. She took a seal skin coat and packed her ermine one into the suitcase. The coat wasn't the most flattering coat, but it would do to keep out the rain and the wind. Elise picked up a silver and round object with a "W" painted onto it. A wolfbane bomb, bound to be a deterrent for any pesky werewolves. She placed four of the bombs into her seal skin's coat's pocket and another four similar bombs labelled with a "G." Those were garlic bombs and weren't encased with silver. She then picked up several stakes, silver and wooden, a revolver with silver bullets and Elise was satisfied with her weapon selection. A crossbow sure would come in handy, too bad I don't have one. Elise then fished out an old map from her coat's pocket. The map was hand drawn and made with great skill from an expert cartographer. Thank you grandfather, your map has come in useful. The map showed the Whispershade station, Elise studied the map carefully and figured that she would have to go in a Westerly direction to reach Castle Obisdion (which wasn't shown due to secrecy) but the Shadowcliffs and Iceblade Sea were clearly labelled. Elise picked up her golden pocket watch and found out the time was 4:15. The speaker spoke around fifteen minutes ago, we'll be reaching the station in around an hour and 45 minutes so I might as well get some rest, even though that's unlikely. Elise closed her suitcase and took a nap.

Moreau nodded, "ranked at #14, I believe. Over 60 successful missions, 2 half-completed missions, and 1 failed mission. The failed one is referring to the Darlington Incident, and we all know that was Hunter Cyreth's fault.
---
Edward smiled as he got what he needed. "Thank you. Take this and get yourself something from the Castle Eatery." He gave her a gold coin, more than enough to buy whatever was on the menu a few times.
He entered into the council chamber for the trial.
Moreau looked up at him from the recorder's stand. "You're late, Van Helsing."
"Better late than never... Early as always Moreau?"
"Indeed. Now that the judge is here, we can begin the review."
Edward lifted up a microphone, "Attention, we need a jury of peers for the review and trial of a member. Any members in Elite through Veteran may enter." He placed it down, "now then, while we wait, please tell Moreau about any past missions that may affect your trial."
---
The Silent Express slid to a stop with a jolt at the end. the conductor announced they'd arrived at the terminal. Outside was a simple train platform, a building with llit windows, and a post. The post had a drake tied to it, Obi's transportation. From the covered platform ran several paths, no doubt to weed out the newcomers who tried to get to Obsidian. All of them were well-worn. Obi was already outside, carrying his bags of meat. the drake eagerly looked at Obi, who smacked it on the nose with a newspaper.
(Well, there's a trial in Obsidian, The Silent Express is delivering Elise to Whispershade forest, and there's a vampire holding a blood drive in his own little fiefdom.)

The train had juddered to a stop in the heart of the Whispershade forest. It was gloomy with little of the sun's ray fighting the night's oncoming darkness. A few minutes later, Elise woke up. "I still don't feel any better than I was a few hours ago." Grumbled Elise. She tapped into her magic, relieved to find out that she had enough to keep herself warm for the night. Only a mad nutter like my grandfather would have lit a fire in the middle of an accursed forest, rather than using a warming spell. Elise picked up her suitcase and exited out of the train, onto the old platform. Stepping off the platform, she looked around and shrunk back in terror when she saw the Drake. That's a drake? I didn't think it would be that big! There's no way someone's going to force me to ride that thing! I've heard those beasts can torch a person from one breath, but a lunatic at the village madhouse had told me that. Hopefully he's wrong... Elise bit her lip out of sheer nervousness. Obi was there and she needed to know the first test's rules. She held her breath and cautiously walked over to Obi, taking small small steps. "Erm... Mister might it be convenient to explain to me the test rules?" Asked Elise.

Obi turned to her with a grin, "The rules... yes. You need to make it to the castle within a span of a week, otherwise you are presumed dead... probably the wolves... other than that, I can't think of anything else for the first test." He threw the meat in a bsket on the Drake's saddle. "Though I'll give you a hint, since you didn't come with the spring recruits. a compass will lie, go east to head west, water is safe, and the burned grove is near the goal." He smiled and mounted his drake, "with that, good luck! You'll not find any Vampires in Whispershade, but werewolves are another matter." The drake screeched as he dug his heels into it's ribs. the winged creature lifted off the ground, and turned west. Obi's cackle of laughter faded as the drake flew to the west.

Kirra thought for a moment and said, "Well the only one I can think of is the mission where I was assaulted by both vampires and werewolves, I killed them all with the help of Hunter Cyreth, before he betrayed me." She made sure not to show her emotions, Cyreth had been her best friend, and might have been her lover if he hadn't stabbed her with his sword and run off.
{Hope you don't mind that I slightly elaborated on the incident}

"Thank you." Serenity replied before going back into the building. "He's so nice. I wonder what I should with this.....or maybe I should just save it!" She squealed, while running into her room. She locked the door and jumped onto her bed in order to look at the coin he had given her.
(I'll redo my other post.)

Luna, a veteran herself, close soon to an elite status, looked up at the speaker mounted to the wall as it crackled to life and called foreward any jury members who were willing to partisipate in the trial for the infected member. She knew that being an infected herself, she might be a welcome vote, if not a biased one. "I think I'll go partisipate, if only to watch then so be it..." She looked at Marie with a smile, any infected member could use all the hope they could get.

"A compass will lie, go east to head west, water is safe, and the burned grove is near the goal." Obi's words rang in Elise's mind, as the drake faded out of view. "Thanks," she muttered. Elise sat down on her suitcase. Phew, I thought the time limit was one day but luck seems to be on my side. Elise smiled, she could relax now, regain some energy and her magic. A nagging voice in her mind argued with the idea of relaxing. Look at all those paths, there are 15 of them and you'll have to cover lots of ground. If you don't get to the destination soon, they'll presume you're dead and you will have no where to go. Elise cast the nagging thought away and decided to make camp. She quickly opened her suitcase and fished out a hunting knife. Silly me, how did I forget to take this out earlier? She also decided her garlic bombs were no use as weapons against werewolves and packed them back into her suitcase. Elise cut off some fir boughs and lay on them, inhaling the fresh pine scent. She also picked up some stray logs and a few more fir branches and stacked them into a pile. I'm right next to the station, a werewolf is bound to know that this place reeks of the organization, a fire would do me some warmth I'm freezing. Her eyes turned a vivid shade of violet, indicating that she was tapping into her magic. She summoned a purple spark, which landed on her stack of wood and decided it would do. Snuggling into her branches it wasn't the most comfortable bed, but it would do.

"I wonder if I really should save it?" Serenity asked herself still looking at the golden coin that Van Helsing had given her. Smiling a little, she said "I'll just keep it. I'd rather just save it."
