"Err.. Anything you like," Xiao Ling replied to Rex's question. "Maybe some origami?" she smiled as she said that.
"Make... this!" Kunjiro replied happily, grabbing one of the smaller mushroom figures he made earlier, and showd it to Rex. "Fun," he said, grabbing two freebie biscuits and offered one of them to Rex and passed the other to his mother, hoping that she would remove the plastic for him.

Rex accepted the biscuit gladly and tore the wrapping off. He broke the cookie in half and tossed each half into his mouth and King's. Peering at the paper mushroom figures, the boy shook his head.
"I dunno how to. You show me?"

"I can, No trouble!" Kunjiro replied happily, for he was willing to teach his friend what he knew about paper mushroom figures. "You first do this," he said as he took two pieces of yellow paper and used a color pencil to draw a mushroom. "Then you do this, and this, then this!" he said for the other steps, leaving no time for Rex to follow the steps the make a mushroom figure.
"I guess you might want to take a walk outside after this," Xiao Ling said, when she came out with some plastics bags to throw rubbish in.

Rexier's head swam as he watched Kunjiro whip up a paper mushroom figure in no time at all. The boy shook his head to clear it, and opened his mouth to speak.
A few knocks on the door, however, cut him off before he even started.
Leyrandia was outside, perched daintily on the doorknob. She fluffed her feathers to warm herself up and waited for a reply.

The door was knocked a few times and Xiao Ling rushed quickly towards the it. Not long the door was opened, and there's no one outside. Only a bird was perched outside, and she was surprised. "Who knocked the door?"

Hello, came a voice in Xiao Ling's head. I did. Down here. Yes, the bird perching on the doorknob.
Hmm? Who knocked the door?
Surprised at the guardian's strange question, Rex leaned back in his seat and saw the bird of paradise. "Ah, Andi! Why're you here?"
The Andi cocked her head at Rex, making no move to enter the house. Having not been invited in the angel felt it would be rather rude to enter on her own accord, and called out to Rex from her perch the doorknob.
To escort you back to your room, of course. Your mother's wanting you.
"Oh, okay." Turning back to Kunjiro, Rex smiled apologetically at the toddler, and got to his feet. "Sorry, Kunjiro. Mother wants me back at my room, so I have to go now. We'll see each other again sometime, yes?" The boy patted Kunjiro's mushroom topped head, and headed towards the door.
"Thank you for having me, um... Miss Kunjiro's guardian." Rex slapped himself inwardly at his forgetfulness. Why oh why did he have to forget this particular lady's name? "Mother's calling me, so I must go. Bye!"
Pleasure to meet you, dear guardian. Good bye!
Rex smiled at Xiao Ling and bowed a farewell to her before running down the hallways towards his own room, Leyrandia on his shoulder.

Location: 3rd floor, indoor garden My Characters: Xiao Ling, Atsutoshi KunjiroOther characters: Varlen, BergeracAnvion "No, Bergerac. That's fish food. You don't eat that.""Fooooo....""No. It tastes disgusting, and will make you ill. And being ill is bad."
Bergerac tilted her head to the side, one small hand clutching some fish food. She was seated in Varlen's lap at the edge of the pond, and he was showing her how to feed the fish. Well, Varlen was trying. Bergerac seemed to think that it was some strange new form of food, and so kept trying to eat it. He'd been trying to dissuade her from eating for nearly five minutes now. However, she still wanted to eat it. Varlen sighed and shrugged, finally giving up.
"Fine, fine. If you want to get sick, go on and eat it..." Xiao Ling "I win!" Kunjiro cried as he reached the indoor garden, leaving Xiao Ling behind. Not long after Kunjiro's arrival, Xiao Ling came in, too tired to move.
"Alright, you win," she said. "What do you want?"
Before answering Xiao Ling's questions, the mushroom boy ran towards the pond but stopped whe he saw two people at the pond. "Heh, someone here," he said to himself. Without calling his mother, Kunjiro walked towards them. "Hello," he said cheerfully. Anvion Varlen's head whipped around to the sourse of the voice, crimson eyes already narrowed.. but sighed when he saw it was just a kid. An odd-looking one at that. No matter. Varlen had seen stranger before. He gave the child a small nod in his own greeting.
"Hello..." he replied off-handedly, meanwhile batting Bergerac's hand away from her mouth. She was trying to eat the fish food again, trying to take advantage of Varlen's distraction.Obviously she wasn't very pleased at having been caught, for Bergerac let out a little screech of protest. No! HER food! Xiao Ling "I'm Kunjiro," the mishap said, before taking a seat next to Varlen. "You, sir?"
"There you are," Xiao Ling said, after searching for Kunjiro for some time. Then she turned to Varlen, "I'm sorry if he's bothering you, sir."
Kunjiro was not paying attention to what Xiao Ling said, he was looking at Bergerac with fish food. "Baby a girl right? What is her name?" Kunjiro asked. Anvion "Varlen," the drow replied. "And this is Bergerac. Yes, she's a girl."Varlen didn't have to bat her hand away again, for it seemed that she had just noticed Kunjiro, and found him RATHER interesting. Well, she was staring at him with those odd blank eyes of hers, but that could mean anything. She seemed to like staring, especially at new or interesting things. Whatever it was that caused her to stare, it certainly made her forget to feed the fish food. She didn't even put up a struggle when Varlen absentmindedly pried her fingers open and took the food from her.Tossing the food out into the pond so that she wouldn't try to eat it again, Varlen tilted his head back to glance up at Xiao Ling, shaking his head slowly. "No, he's fine at the moment, Madame..." Xiao Ling "Bergerac and Varlen..." the mishap said, trying to remember their names. He looked at Bergerac for a while and asked, "Lines on her face, what they for?"
"Oh, okay," Xiao Ling replied, relieved that Kunjiro was not causing any trouble. "Then I'll leave him here for a while, if you don't mind. I have to do something," she continued and pat Kunjiro on his mushroom hat before leaving, "Mama has things to do, I'll came back later, okay?" Anvion Varlen opened his mouth to protest at playing babysitter, but alas. He was stuck with the mushroom kid, like it or not. He shot the retreating woman a somewhat resentful and irritated look, then let out a small sigh and turned his attentions back on Kunjiro.
"The lines are just there, kid. Nothing special about them..."After staring for a few moments longer, Bergerac let out a burble before squirming out of Varlen's grasp and crawling rather akwardly towards Kunjiro. Ste stared up at him, her blank gaze filled with an awed look. Again she let out a burble and tugged rather curiously on his moss cape. How odd...

Location: 3rd floor, indoor garden (continue)My Characters: Xiao Ling, Atsutoshi KunjiroOther characters: Varlen, BergeracXiao Ling "Oh, nothing special," Kunjiro replied, dissapointed with what Varlen had said about the lines. "And my mom is busy always."
After that, Kunjiro sat on the floor quietly, enjoying the view of the indoor garden the pond. He gave a small yell when the cape was tugged, and turned around to see who did it. The moss boy was relieved when he saw it was Bergerac who did it, but he felt strange when it was tugged. Anvion Varlen gave a shrug and turned back to stare out over the pond, seemingly lost in thought as he idly tossed the last remains of the fish food he had brought up. What he was thinking about, none could really say. He was probably still sulkng over having to play babysitter. Ah well. He'd probably get over it soon. Maybe.Bergerac let out her own squeak of surprise at Kunjiro's yell, scrabbling backward and away from the source of the loud noise. She didn't go far before stopping and once again staring at Kunjiro oddly. However, she once again crawled forward, this time poking him experimentally on the shoulder. Maybe he wouldn't yell this time... Xiao Ling When Bergerac gave out a squeak, Kunjiro jumped a little as something was troubling him in his mind. He stared at Bergerac for a while before walking towards the pond to see what Varlen is throwing into the pond. "What is that, mister?"
The mushroom boy then sat in front of the pond, wanting to see the fish food Varlen threw but what he saw was a group of fishes gathering at one spot. Not long after that he was poked and this time, he did not yell.
Not knowing what to do, he stood up and digged his pockets and took out one packet of small biscuit. He then tore out the plastic wrapper and offered it to Bergerac, not knowing that babies cannot eat solid food. Anvion ((a thousand apologies for the delay. D: Got psychotically busy.)) "Fish food. We came up to feed the fist, but Bergerac became more interested in the food, even though it's not good for her..."Bergerac took the biscuit curiously, turning it over an dover as she stared at it. Then, she stuck it in her mouth, gumming it curiously. Varlen wasn't telling her to stop, so Bergerac continued to chew at it. "Mmmrph..."Xiao Ling (( It's okay. I'm going to be busy myself with school and stuff 3nodding ))
"Okay." Kunjiro nodded at Varlen's explanation, peering at the fish food. He looked over at the pond and its fishy inhabitant, before turning his attention to Bergerac.
The boy smiled upon seeing Bergerac chewing on the biscuit. "Like biscuit? I have more, so when you finish eating, tell me if you want more," Kunjiro said, fishing out another two from his pockets. Taking off the plastic from one, he started nibbling on it while offering Varlen the other.
"Biscuit, mister?" Anvion "I'll pass," Varlen responded, shaking his head. He cast a brief glance at Bergerac and frowned as he watched her gnaw at the biscuit, as if he disapproved of such an action, yet remained silent. At least the thing she was gnawing at was good for her, and wouldn't make her sick like the fish food would."Buuu?" Curiously, Bergerac took her half-gnawed biscuit out of her mouth, holding it out to Kunjiro. She wasn't really offering it to him, but saw him holding out HIS biscuit, and so was mimicking his movements. Xiao Ling (( sorry for ending the rp so soon, but I dunno what else to write sweatdrop Sorry... ))
Kunjiro nodded at Varlen's refusal and peered at the biscuit for a few seconds, as if not knowing what to do with it. He shrugged a few seconds later, then turned to Bergerac and blinked at her when she held out her biscuit to him. "No, biscuit for you, so you eat." Very gently, the mushroom boy pushed Bergerac's outstretched hand back with one hand, then continued nibbling on his own.
Xiao Ling appeared a moment later, holding in her arms a large stack of paper - documents, presumably. She approached the small group of three slowly, being careful not to drop the paper. As she approached Varlen she gave him an apologetic nod.
"Sorry to have you look after Kunjiro. I hope he didn't cause any trouble?" Anvion "He didn't," the drow responded, rising and scooping Bergerac into his arms. "And now, if you don't mind, we're going to be off. I have some work I must attend to..."Bergerac let out a squeal of surprise as Varlen picked her up, and, sensing that they were to be going soon, waved to Kunjiro. "Biiiis!" Xiao Ling "No I don't mind, of course. I'm here to bring Kunjiro home actually. See you again sometime," the guardian replied with a smile. She then turned to Kunjiro, who waved back as Bergerac was leaving. "Come on, we're going home now," she said.
Kunjiro took care of what remained of the biscuit, and waved back to Bergerac. "Ba-i!" He said, grinning broadly at the two before taking off after Xiao Ling.

Location: Tree House Isle My Characters: Xiao Ling, Atsutoshi KunjiroOther characters: Rexier Gaver, Silencer WolfSilencer Wolf ___- Tree-House Isle -__(( Everyone feel free to join smile ))
Despite the rest of the HQ being covered in a layer of snow, the area around the lake of Tree-House Isle was not. A small glowing orb, emerald green in color and about the size of a marble, hovered above the center of the lake. The small thing swirled occasionally, holding a spell to keep the area warm and spring-like. To a boy and a dinosaur who could not stand to be couped up indoors during the winter season, that thing was a life-saver.
A whip-like tail came down towards the water surface with the force of a falling piece of log, resulting in a loud Boom-Splash-- well actually, it was a just-audible shlick-splood. Still, sprays of water were sent flying towards a pair of conjoined twin.
Rex took a sharp intake of breath as the water flew towards him and held a palm out towards it. The boy concentrated fully on drawing energy from the surrounding into his palm, before unleashing it a split second later to form a barrier in front of him.
A smirk came across the mishap's face as water hit invisible energy shield and dispersed. With a wave of the same hand, Rex called the barrier off, shining down on the greften before him.
"Easy!"
Chruk!
"Ow!"
A loud giggle could be heard from somewhere behind Rex as the boy rubbed his shoulder where the pebble hit.
"Your guard was off, Rexier Gaver." Silencer grinned up at the kid, and disappeared under the surface of the water. A few seconds later a large reptilian shot out of the lake and landed gracefully on the bank beside a rather sour-faced child.
"Unfair! It came out so suddenly, I wasn't prepared for it." Rex pointed out, and laughed in an instant mood change as his guardian shook herself dry, sending sprays of water droplets over him.
"A' really? Your enemies wouldn't let you prepare yourself for an attack in an ambush, yannow."
"True." Rex nodded, and patted Silencer on the head, before running a hand down her back like an ordinary child might stroke a pet cat.
King chittered off to himself, enjoying the natural surrounding the place provided. The tyrannosaur blinked as a small figure(who chucked the pebble at Rex earlier) broke through the edge of the trees and galloped his way, then let out a roar just for the fun of seeing it skitter off in the direction of Silencer. Xiao Ling "Mm.. Fresh air, nice surrounding, what a perfect day for a walk," Xiao Ling said as she walked towards the Tree House Isle. "Come on, Kunjiro. This is a nice place."
Kunjiro was walking slowly, not wanting to go to the island. "A place full of trees? Boring," he thought. When reaching the lake, Xiao Ling was enjoying the environment too much that Kunjiro managed to sneak off without her noticing. Not far from where Xiao Ling was, the mishap walked further and saw his friend, Rex. "Big!" he cried out. Silencer Wolf Rex turned his head around at the mention of his name. A grin quickly spread across his face as he saw who the it was.
"Kunjiro! Hallo there!"
As Rex waved to Kunjiro, Silencer turned her head in the direction of the toddler and smiled. The greften flicked her tail and rolled over, slipping into the water below. Shortly after her head popped out from the water surface, followed by her two front limbs.
"Hello there, Kunjiro." Silencer said, leaning against the waters edge and looking at the moss mishap. "Here alone? Where's your mother?" Xiao Ling "Mother near here," Kunjiro replied to the greften's questions. He looked at the lake for a while and asked, "What you doing here? I bored here, but mother say this place nice," he said, digging his pockets for small biscuits and offered them to Rex and his guardian before tossing one into his mouth. Silencer Wolf Silencer tossed her head around her, looking for signs of Xiao Ling. At the offer of small biscuits by the toddler, she smiled and shook her head. "No thanks. keep them for yourself."
Rex, on the other hand, eagerly accepted the biscuits. Tossing a few into both King and his own mouth, the boy followed Kunjiro's gaze, and spoke through mouthfuls of cookies.
"Mom and I, and Orca," Rex stroked the wolftaur who had just come up to him for a bit of the biscuits, "Are here to help me practise my magic. I'm getting better, now practicing with things other than pebbles."
The boy smiled down at Kunjiro, pride welling up in him. "Want me to show you?" Xiao Ling "Okay," Kunjiro said, putting the other biscuit into his pocket. He then looked at the direction where his mother was, and pointed a finger at a black figure as it was coming towards them. "My mom there, I think."
"Magic?" the mushroom boy replied in amazement, for he had never seen anyone performing magic before. "I want to see, I want to see!"
"Hello all," came a voice not far from where everyone was. It was Xiao Ling, and she walked towards the where everyone was, not wanting to miss the fun the others were having. "Did I miss anything?" Silencer Wolf "No, nothing at all. In fact, the show's just starting." Silencer winked at Xiao Ling, and nodded towards her charge. "Make yourself comfortable, eh?" the greften added as she started to swim away from the group of three.
Rex was all smiles. He lifted Orca from his lap and replaced the taur pup on the ground beside him. Turning towards his mother, the boy signalled that he was ready.
"Watch now, Kunjiro."
In the middle of the lake, Silencer's eyes twinkled. The greften slipped underwater briefly before shooting out of the water dolphin-styled, quills erect. Silencer shot two streams of water at Rex, before gravity pulled her back into the water.
Having prepared for this, Rex held out a hand, palm out. Like before, he drew energy from around him(not including Orca, Kunjiro and his guardian) and formed it into a barrier before him. However this time, when the water hit the barrier, instead of letting it disperse into harmless little droplets of water Rex tried something new.
Rex closed his eyes and felt around the energy barrier. He tightened his control over them as soon as he felt water hit the barrier and held the liquid in, preventing them from scattering into droplets. The barrier looked like it was made of water for just a little while, before imploding on itself.
A gasp could be heard from Rex as the water drenched him, and he opened his eyes.

Location: Tree House Isle (continue)My Characters: Xiao Ling, Atsutoshi KunjiroOther characters: Rexier Gaver, Silencer WolfXiao Ling Kunjiro watched excitedly as the show was about to begin. As Silencer shot two streams of water at Rex, the moss boy watched the whole thing carefully, not wanting to miss anything. "Magic, it really magic!" he said, feeling happy to see real magic and not reading about them.
Right after Kunjiro saw those, he heard a splash. At first he did not know where the splash came from and was surprised to see his friend wet all over. "Eh?" he said, before running towards Rex to see what happen.
Xiao Ling was as excited as Kunjiro when she saw magic, but her mood changed when the barrier implode on itself. She walked towards the drenched boy to see what happened, before offering him tissue. Silencer Wolf Silencer's head broke the surface of the water just then and the greften looked around, slightly disorientated by the dive. Voices behind her caught her attention and she whipped around and started in the direction of the source.
"Ai, what happened?" The greften blinked at the sight that greeted her when she reached the shore. "What's with you being dripping wet, my boy?"
"The stupid--"
"AHer-hem."
"The shield broke." Rex said, running a hand through his dripping wet hair. "I thought I might try absorbing the water and channeling it into the earth like Jabir said, but..."
"You wanted to... I see." Silencer mused, dragging herself out of the water. She smiled at Kunjiro as the boy passed her, and shook herself dry. Her smile, which returned when Xiao Ling went pass her too, quickly turned apologetic as she caught sight of Orca shaking himself dry beside her. "Oh. Sorry, Orca."
Rex peered at the small tissue, seriously doubting its ability as a drying towel. However, the boy accepted it with a polite smile and a word of thanks, dabbing his face with the thin thing. Xiao Ling "I guess you might want to go back and change," said Xiao Ling to Rex as he used the tissue to dry himself. "The HQ is cold now, and if you don't hurry you'll fall sick," she continued.
Kunjiro took some of the tissues from Xiao Ling and paste them on Rex's leg, planning to remove them later. In no time he ran out of tissues, and he threw the plastic on the floor. Silencer Wolf Silencer nodded. Xiao Ling's right, her child would catch a cold in this weather - the pearl served only as a temporary 'spring provider'. Turning to said pearl, Silencer winced. Well, its power was almost drained, so... right.
"Alright, big guy. Xiao Ling's right, we must get you back to your room. C'mon now! Let's hope the pearl has enough power to supply warmth to all of us, at least until we reach the main building."
With that the greften held out its paw towards the floating orb, which obediently flew back to Silencer. Seeing Orca's eager face, Silencer smiled and placed the glowing marble in his hands, before walking towards the HQ.
As she spoke, the lake started to freeze over and snow began covering the land which was green before as the power held in the pearl ebbed slowly away. "Looks like it won't last any longer. Come, Xio Ling, Kunjiro and Rex. We must hurry."
A grin plastered onto his face, Rex chuckled at Kunjiro as the toddler 'tissuefied' his feet, before snapping his head up at his mother. "Okay!"
Picking up and pocketing the plastic left on the ground by Kunjiro, Rex scrambled to his feet and ran after Silencer, waving back towards Xiao Ling and Kunjiro. "Come, hurry!" Xiao Ling "So, the weather is actually freezing here?" Xiao Ling asked before leaving the snow-covered area. "I didn't know that! I thought there was no snow here," she continued.
As soon the area was covered in snow and the temperature started to drop, Kunjiro, who was about to remove the tissues from Rex's legs gave a yawn.
"Alright, I'm coming. Looks like Kunjiro is sleepy," Xiao Ling said, carrying the sleepy boy behind her back. "My, my, he's getting heavier," she thought.

Location: In the room Time: Early in the Morning Title: Breakfast? Xiao Ling was woken up by the noisy and energetic Kunjiro, who had been standing beside her bed for some time. She ignored him at first, but it was difficult to do so because the mushroom boy stood there and whined until she got up.
"Mommy, Mommy, breakfast time! Get up, Mom."
"Hmm, breakfast? It's still dark..."
With that reply, Xiao Ling took her pillow and covered her head, hoping that Kunjiro would not bother her again. But still the boy would not go away. With this, she got up and walked towards the kitchen with a happy Kunjiro following her.
"What do you want for breakfast?" she asked, feeling sleepy as she searched for food.
"I want... I want... eggs. Fried eggs."
"Alright. Just sit on the chair and wait."
Kunjiro then walked towards his seat and climbed on the chair and waited for his breakfast. Not long after the wait, Xiao Ling came with fried egg, spoon and fork. When those were placed in front of him, he quickly grabbed the spoon and sliced the egg clumsily. After he finished his breakfast, he grabbed his toy sword and ran off, leaving the dishes on the table for Xiao Ling to clean up.
