. razz rompt Entry:. ~Entry Prompt Two!~ Your mother has been talking about humans, and how they scared her, and her family before her. Her family were a herd of real wild mustangs..And you are a mustang descendant yourself. Do you have the same fear of humans? Do you tell her that? Are you close enough with your mother to really be able to say anything to her about..well anything? Why do you feel this way? *Note: This actually ended up as more of a mixture of both prompts, but since it was originally intended to be a response to this one, I'll leave it. :3 Name: Tuari Name meaning [if any]: Means "young eagle." I chose this name because the mother's name is Marahute, which is the name of the great eagle in the movie "The Rescuer's Down Under." So I thought young eagle would be fitting. :3 Plus, its a Native American name. *brownie points* xDD;; Gender: Female Personality: One word: High-spirited
Short description: This young filly is full of a spirit and enthusiasm for life that almost instantly endears her to even the most forlorn strangers. Rarely is she seem without a huge, playful, goofy smile on her face, and laughter seems to constantly shine from her eyes. She is innocent to the extreme, believing the best of everyone and that the harshness of the world can be conquered with only good intentions.
Love and friendships come naturally to her. Those that are lucky enough to be counted as her friends enjoy her unyielding support and wholehearted love. She holds nothing back when it comes to the well-being and happiness of her family. However, her naivete, along with her bountiful supply of energy and insatiable curiosity, often land her tough spots, much to the dismay of her anxious parents.
Entry:
Humans were odd creatures.
Tuari had known that since the earliest days of her youth. Even though she had never actually seen one up close and personal, she had always known that. Why, humans were two-legged, smelly, and ugly to boot, what with those pointy noses, the pink, squishy flesh, and random patches of hair just spurting out of them wherever it wished! Everyone knew that.
Nor were they a very intelligent species. They plucked the feathers of their poor birds and strung them in their hair as if that might make them look better! Yea right! Or did they think the feathers might help them to sprout wings and fly away?
They built blazing fires in the middle of the night, then spent countless hours dancing and whooping like hoodlums around them, waking every poor beast in the forest and making general nuisances of themselves... Though it did seem as if that might be great fun.
Ugly and stupid, that was what Tuari had been told. By her grandparents, by her mom and dad, by everyone. But Tuari had no idea, no idea, that they were creatures to be feared. Not until her mother returned one day from her daily walk through the meadow, tossing her head, her sturdy muscles quaking in agitation. "Mommy, what's wrong?" Tuari nickered softly, but Mother didn't stop, didn't even look her way. Mommy never acts like this! Concerned, Tuari flicked her ears forward, just in time to hear Mother sputtering some nonsense to Father about... camp... and the river... and... humans!
"Humans!" Tuari blurted loudly and jumped to her feet, immediately filled with a rush of giddy, child-like excitement. I always wanted to see one of the ugly little beasts! Quickly she bit down on her tongue, realizing her mistake, but already her parents had rounded on her. They told her in ten different shades of harsh voices that she was absolutely forbidden to see the humans, should not even think of going anywhere near the humans. Humans were dangerous, they said. No daughter of ours needs be near an ugly, foul-smelling human, they said.
Tuari wanted to protest. She knew she was still just a foal, but she was growing older. Wasn't it time for her to explore, to venture out into the world and learn some lessons for herself? It wasn't that she didn't trust Mother and Father. Of course, she trusted them with her whole heart! But still... How should I know if a human stinks, if I've never smelled one? What if they really smelled like... corn? Or pine trees? Maybe they even smelled like roses! How was she to know?
Right then and there the little foal vowed to herself that she would one day sniff the scent of a human.
But that would have to wait for now. Because even though Tuari was overwhelmed by the need to seek out the company of a human, just for the mere sake of satisfying her blatant curiosity, she was a good girl. She would not disobey Father and Mother. Not when Mother was so terribly anxious, and Father so obviously distressed. No, humans would always be around, or so it seemed. There would be plenty of time to smell one, after everything calmed down. No need to get all rushed.
Tuari spent the next few days in her usual happy state, romping around outside with whatever halfway interesting playmate she could find, whether it be a sibling or just a random bug busily scurrying about on the ground. She gave little thought to the humans supposedly settling nearby, although she sometimes noticed Mother and Father exchanging quiet, concerned looks. I don't understand what they're so worried about. Surely, humans couldn't be all bad. Surely not. But then again, maybe they were... Are all humans... just evil? Tuari had to wonder as another worried glance passed silently between her parents.
It wasn't until a month later or so that Tuari found her answer. There she was, having a little rough and tumble with a rather large and tough-looking stick, when it happened. The little human foal rounded the edge of the meadow and stepped quietly into the clearing where Tuari stood, stick in mouth, gaping stupidly. Is that... a human?
It was tiny, a foal like her, and mostly bald, although what hair it did have was shining and silky, and far more beautiful than anything Tuari would have imagined. It only had two legs... Yes, that was normal, although how one could totter along on two unstable legs for one's entire life was beyond Tuari. There were feathers adoring this little creature's hair, but they were lovely, not stupid looking at all. It doesn't look dangerous.
In fact, it looked rather... sad. Water leaked from human's deep brown eyes and flowed in tiny rivers down her flushed cheeks. She looked at Tauri. Her gaze was lost and full of helplessness. Compassion welled up within Tuari in an instant. She completely forgot all of her parent's earlier warnings and trotted over to the human foal, nuzzling her and huffing warm, loving breath in her face. The human buried her face in Tuari's mane and cried.
"I'm looost," the foal wailed. Even if Tuari couldn't completely understand the human words, she could hear the meaning behind them. She nuzzled the girl more firmly. How frightened this little foal must be then, to be away from her family. Tuari knew the human settlement was near the river. She cast a questioning look over her shoulder, back to where Mother and Father were waiting for her. I should take this foal back home with me. If I don't get home soon, Mommy will worry... Then Daddy will be mad that I made Mommy worry!
But... what would Mother and Father do, with a human? Would they take her home? Surely they would never harm her, but they would be too frightened to take her to the settlement. Humans were strange and ugly and dangerous, after all.
Tuari took a deep breath. She didn't want to disobey her parents, but sometimes... She cast a quick glance at the foal, who was sniffling as she hastily wiped her eyes with the backside of her deerskin sleeve. Tuari came to a decision in an instant. This foal shouldn't be away from her family any longer than she has to be!
Tuari gently lifted the child's chin with her muzzle, briefly caught her eyes, then started off, tossing her head to indicate the foal should follow. Within a few minutes the pair were trotting briskly through the evening breeze, with Tuari's confidence and radiant spirit seeming to reassure the human child. Sometimes you just have to do what's right, no matter what!
The hero's reception Tuari received when she entered the human settlement, with the foal in tow, was enough to break her completely of the terrible images she had once formed of humans. The foal's mother was weeping with joy at the return of her daughter, and the village elder graciously rewarded Tuari for leading the girl home, bestowing her with the most beautiful set of feathers and beads in the whole community. The human foal, Anjali, lovingly braided them into Turai's mane before she set off into the moonlight, trotting quickly towards home.
Man, what a story I have to tell Mother! She sure is mistaken about those humans. They don't smell bad. They just smell different.

Prompt one:
You're out on your own, away from your parents for once. They are always watching you! Making sure you're safe! But sometimes that drives you crazy.. But these trails don't look the same at night as they do in the day..When you came out here. How did you get away from your parents? What did you do when you found out you were lost? Are you Brave enough to stay calm, or do you miss your family? Why? Name: FiascoName meaning [if any]: A complete or ridiculous failureGender: FemalePersonality: A wild spirit Fiasco is constantly getting into trouble. She's stubborn and clumsy. Curious about everything she tends to blurt out the truth without realizing it could hurt others. Though she loves her family she'd rather be out exploring then be with them. Entry: Finally everyone was fast asleep! Glancing around once more to check that her parents and siblings where truly asleep Fiasco silently stood up and crept as silently as possible out of the clearing. "Almost there...." About to make it behind the trees suddenly her father called out. "What are you doing you silly thing?" Freezing up Fiasco slowly turned her head toward her father knowing she was in a ton of trouble. "Look dad I can explain......" Trailing off she realized her dad continued to talk. "Don't run away from me I just want to play....." Sighing in relief she realized he was talking in his sleep and hadn't noticed she was sneaking off. Finally she made it behind the trees without being noticed. Smiling Fiasco took off into a run. This was the life! No parents or annoying siblings and she could explore any place she wanted. Losing track of time she continued to run in random directions sticking her nose behind bushes and chasing after anything that crossed her path. "Hey wait! Come back!" Running after an owl she pouted and got upset when the night creature didn't stop and instead took off into the skies. "Fine! I guess I'll just have to go back to my family then! You're no fun, see if I ever try to play with you again." Calling out to the owl she turned ready to go back to her family. "Ummm....where? Uh oh." Looking all around Fiasco realized that she was completely lost. Completely and utterly lost. She didn't know where she was or how far away from her parents she was. "Mom Dad!" Calling out she stepped a few paces toward where she thought she had come. "Mom? Dad?" Not hearing a response she started to panic turning in circles around herself. "Mom! Dad! Can you hear me? Where are you?!" Everything was so different looking in the dark under the moonlight. The trees that looked so friendly during the day took on a darker look and the sounds that Fiasco normally welcomed happily she now grew skittish and shied away from. Shaking slightly she jumped clear out of her skin at the sound of rustling in the bushes and took off in a random direction. Running at a breakneck speed sweat started racing down her neck and back. Not paying attention to where she had been going Fiasco tripped over a tree root. "Ahhhh!" Screaming in pain she landed on her side on the ground sending dust flying around her. "MOMMY! DADDY!" Crying out Fiasco started getting up only to fall back down again from loss of strength. "Fiasco! Is that you?!" "Daddy! Mommy! I'm here! I'm here!" Seeing her parents come into view the foal forced herself to her feet and slowly walked over to her family. Never had she been so happy to see them! I'll never do that again! She promised to herself. Well........that is until something interesting comes up.

Name: Makya Name meaning [if any]: one who hunts eagles. (he has a fascination with birds as shown in the entry) Gender: male (the chosen name is gender neutral) Personality: Curious Dreamer Entry:
Makya looked around the darkening forest and wondered how he'd managed to get himself so completely lost. The last he remembered was following a bluejay. He was not quite sure why but he had always been facinated by flying things. Curious by nature Makya envied the birds their ability to fly over it all and see everything. "It must be a glorious thing to fly," he said often. The comment usually recieved eyerolls from his siblings and grins from his parents. He supposed that's about when the trouble started; he'd begun daydreaming as he trotted along. Before he knew it the sun had started to set and their was no bluejay in sight.
"Mom! Dad!" he called out hoping he was still close enough for them to hear him. He stood still and listened hoping for a response; all he heard was the hooting of an owl just awakening. It was a sound he'd heard before and his parents had told him about the night-dwelling bird, but he'd never seen one. "Well here's my chance," he said to himself happily clinging to the distraction from his fears. With bravery born of his curiousity, the colt followed the sound of the birds call. Interestingly it lead him first to a clearing where he caught sight of the owl perched in a tree. It looked down at him with its huge eyes and Makya jumped back startled as the owl rotated its head as it regarded the young horse curiously. "Whooo?" it said.
"Hello, I'm Makya," the colt replied getting used to the slightly unnerving ways the owl's head moved. "Can you help me? I'm lost."
The owl gave a mournful hoot and took to its wings. Makya watched amazed at how silently the bird moved, but quickly recovered; he had to follow. There was no way to know for sure but he hoped that the owl was going to show him the way home. The owl paused often to regard the strange young horse who seemed torn between fascination and his desperate need to be back with his parents and siblings. The pauses allowed Makya to keep up; the colt knew enough to be careful moving around in the forest. Soon the trees began to thin and his steps were guided by moonlight trickling through the branches.
A familiar sound came to Makya's ears as he and the owl stopped again, "Makya!" It was his mother calling him and she was very close. The youngster looked up to thank the owl, but it was already making its silent way back into the trees. "Thank you!" he said before turning towards home.
"And what have you been up to all this time?" Marahute asked. Makya opened his mouth to begin but all that came out was a huge yawn. His mother laughed, "Ok you can tell us all about it in the morning," she said and nudged her son toward where father and siblings were waiting for them. Though it had been a wonderful adventure finally able to see an owl, Makya was happy to be back home and nuzzled his siblings before laying down close to them for a good night's sleep.

Name: Migisi Name meaning [if any]: Eagle [I figured she could be named almost like her mother since hers has the meaning of an eagle as well] Gender: Female Personality: Strong-willed Entry: Prompt 1
Migisi appears into the meadows not far from the human village. Her mother always told her to stay away from the village but never told her why. She knew that her mother was right but couldn't help her curiousity that was slowly becoming the best of her. In the sky, the storms was just starting to form. She merely whimpers when she heard the thunder before slowly moving towards the village to get some shelter.
She looks around the place as she hit the enterance of the village. What she didn't know that the humans had just got back from hunting and had found something along the way. Migisi watched them and gasped to see that they had found a wild mustang out in the valley. She folded her ears, watching them from behind one of the teepees.
The humans that was in the village wasn't the ones that she had heard other soquilis talking about. The humans looks at the mustang and glared right at it. The human said something that Migisi couldn't understand. Then suddenly a whiplike thing appeared in one of their hands. They lashed out at the mustang, scaring it. Migisi continued to watch them with each flinch whenever the whip would latch out. Migisi then began to see the blood on the sides of the mustang. She felt the tears forming in her eyes as she began to realize why her mother hated humans so much. She looked to the storm which was still raging on before whimpering. She takes off towards her home where her mother and papa was at. "Mama!!!!!" She began to cry and gasped when she heard some humans coming after her.
She looked behind her and saw the glares and the scowlings. The humans yelled after her. She shook her head and began to ran fast as she could. She found a hiding spot in the forest in an old log. She sees the humans ran past her, not realizing she was right there. She silently cried for her mother. "Mama.." She said softly. "Now I see how you hate humans so much.. They are so cruel.. so very cruel.. " She peeks out from her hiding spot and ran in the other direction where her home was, being glad that she had led the humans away from her beloved family. Soon she will tell her mother about the adventure she had....

Name: Novanha Gender: Female Personality: (Inquisitive) An enthusiastic filly who is always asking questions about the world around her. She is so loyal to the family that she would sacrifice herself for them. However, she can be easy to anger and a little harsh to strangers, especially if they have ideas that disagree with the family's values. Entry: (Prompt Two)
There was many things that the young filly didn't understand, and this was yet another one of them. It had been merely by chance that she and her mother had stumbled over the human settlement during their morning jaunt through the forest. They broke from the trees to find themselves looking over a ledge down to a clearing below. With a quick gasp Marahute retreated, but Novanha felt the need to take in the sight. Below odd structures made of wood and skins rose from the ground to touch the sky. Around them, unfamiliar creatures wearing similar skins scurried to and fro. They were walking... on two legs! The filly giggled at them, grinning as she watched them travel around in their strange way, carrying all kinds of objects for uses that Novanha couldn't even begin to guess. She opened her mouth to say something to her mother just to realize that she wasn't beside her anymore. Blinking, she looked back into the trees.
"Novanha! Get back from there!"
Quickly the filly obeyed, retreating back into the trees to hover by Mara's foreleg. Sensing her mother's wariness Novanha suddenly felt afraid too, and she began to shake, her wide eyes still transfixed in the direction of the humans even though she could not see them anymore. But part of her didn't understand why she had to be afraid. She was a curious youngster, prone to asking 'why' at any opportune moment. As far as she could tell this was as good an opportunity as any to whisper the question that was nagging her now.
"Momma, what are they?"
Marahute took a moment to answer. Novanha could see her expression shift from one of alarm to one that looked a little tired, drawing more questions from the depths of the filly's thoughts. Had she asked one too many questions? Would she get an answer? She knew that her constant poking and prodding sometimes exhausted her parents, so she was careful not to over do it when she could. This time, her question was rewarded. "Humans, dear. They are called humans,"
"Humans?" Novanha repeated slowly, savouring the word like she would savour a juicy apple. There were many creatures in the forest, like birds and bugs and hares, but she had never seen or heard anything so out of the ordinary. Were those weird skin things their nests? Are there lots of humans? What do they eat? As usual, the answer came with a million other questions. She looked up at Marahute innocently, silently hoping she would say something more about them.
Her gaze were met by her mother's loving eyes. She had been the only one to inherit their beautiful brown shade. The filly giggled as Mara caressed her golden mane with her muzzle, tickling her neck. No matter what she did, even if it displeased her mother and father, Novanha always felt like a cherished member of the family. Family was the most important thing to the filly, far more important than her incessant need to know things. She was close to all of them, but the bond between her and her mother was the strongest. She practically idolized the fair mare and wished to grow up to be like her, with foals of her own someday.
"Novanha, I think this is a good time to tell you about humans, and our family..."
----
That afternoon the entire family sat down for the discussion. Novanha listened in wonder as she was told of the story of the wild mustangs, the great masters of the plains. She imagined the sound thundering hoofbeats following them through the golden fields, each member of the herd wild and happy and free to roam under the starry skies. They were mustang too, and this made Novanha proud of the blood that coursed through her young veins. But the story soon took a darker turn. She was told of ropes and chains and confinement, of wild spirits breaking under the the control of humans... Horrified, she could barely believe her ears. She had no idea that something as small and silly-looking as a human could be so cruel. The little filly was practically shaking by the time Marahute finished speaking. How terrible... it was a fate worse than death! Almost as soon as Mara had shut her mouth her sister started to babble something about 'freeing the captives' but Novanha didn't pay attention. She got up and wandered away from the others without even looking back, her usually energetic mood gone for the moment.
"Are humans really that bad?" As she wandered through the thicket she flicked her ears forward and listened to the sounds of the forest. Now that question was nagging at her and she really wanted an answer. Before she knew it she was trotting down the path which led to the clearing. Her long legs carried across the terrain quickly and soon she found herself looking at the same teepees as before. She stopped abruptly at the tree line with a gasp. The teepees were so much bigger up close! Carefully she stuck out a hoof and placed it ever so gently on the ground. Was it safe to just waltz in the human territory unannounced? Or would she be ambushed and tied up? She shuddered and withdrew her leg. How big were the humans, anyways? Novanha turned back into the brush and ran right into something solid. Something solid and warm.
With a shriek she crashed through a bush and dived right under a log. Quivering she peeked out, only her brown eyes visible in the green and black shadow. There in front of her stood a mare, who looked throughly confused. "H-hello there! What are you doing out here all by yourself?" the mare asked, lowering her head to look in her hiding place.
"None of your BEESWAX!" Novanha shouted with a snort. "I'm not supposed to talk to strangers." She stuck out her tongue and glared with all her might, daring the mare to come closer. Instead the mare apologized and retreated, leaving Novanha lying there with a smug expression on her face. But wait... the mare was going towards the humans! Scurrying out from the log so fast that she flung loose leaves out behind her, Novanha caught up with the mare, calling "Hey, waiit! Why're you going over there?"
"I'm going to visit, why?"
Novanha stopped in her tracks and stared hard at the mare. "You mean, you actually WANT to go see the humans? Won't they tie you up and hit you with sticks?"
The mare was absolutely appalled by her question, which made Novanha wonder if she had said something weird. "Of course not! Humans won't hurt you, little one."
The little filly looked angry. "You saying my momma lied?!" she yelled. But before the mare could mutter a word Novanha was off galloping through the trees as fast as her lanky legs could carry her. She didn't stop until she clumsily tripped on her own feet and ended up sprawled in the dirt. That was the last time she asked a stranger anything! Especially if they insulted her momma. As far as she was concerned her parents were the smartest beings in the forest. But the mare's reaction to her last question still bothered her a little. She sat up on the ground with her rump in the grass, thinking. Maybe some humans were different.... Maybe it was possible for a human and a Soquili to be friends after all? Shaking out her mane, Novanha got up and continued down the path. She could almost see the line of trees that marked the family's gathering place. Stepping high she went the rest of the way without incident. But her question hadn't been answered...
Well, of all the things she didn't understand, she meant to understand this no matter how many questions it took.

Name:Temima [ Pronounced "Tai-My-Maa"] Name meaning [if any]:Whole, honest It is an African-American name. Gender:Female (Happy to play a male and edit suggestions below accordingly, will discuss with both parents owners). Personality:Temima is a mysterious creature, speaking the truth with each breath even if it gets herself or her siblings into trouble but at the same time she holds a number of secrets, if no one asks her then she does not tell. She is a shy creature, caring and considerate to the small creatures of the forest, almost a flightless angel to the land, she does not interact with lots of Soquili tending to keep it to those who are close friends to the family and her family. When she does meet a stranger she tends to say very little, blushing lots while attempting to figure out a reason why she should escape. Someone with a familiar would fascinate her though. Inspiration 1 // 2Suggested Plots: I think it would be really good to do a “revealed secrets” plot, perhaps she has a secret place in the forest that she enjoys visiting and on this particular occasion she is helping to heal a fox. Unsure of how her parents would react she takes one or both of her siblings with her to ask for their advice. When they finally arrive home they tell their Mother of her actions, who looks shocked at having no knowledge of such actions, embarrassed and afraid she explains before running away back into the forest for some alone time. While in the forest she could hear something that captured her imagination, a tune or something like that. Since she only really talks to those she is introduced to perhaps her parents (most likely her Mother) could introduce her to a stallion in the hope that she will begin to open up, perhaps the Stallion is told it is an ‘arranged marriage’ or something similar for a bit of drama. During a walk in the forest with this Stallion she can listen to his every word eagerly but saying very little causing the conversation to go silent, they continue to walk then out of the blue the Stallion hums the tune she had heard so many years ago, falling instantly for him she turned in surprise… could it be fate? Entry: (Prompt 1) Temima’s playful eyes looked longingly up towards her Mother, there was something comforting about her presence that always settled her heart, yet the thought of exploring had lingered in her mind for a while now. Ever since her hatching from the basket she had found herself captivated by the world, its colours, sounds and smells swirled within her mind. Today had been a long day indeed, they had visited the near by river that led into the lake in the morning before walking home through the forest. The forest had chirped and danced with such music that her heart began to pull her towards it, the songs of the world had always delighted her. The crisp leaves of autumn crunching and whistling in the wind had been the first she could recall; her mind was always open to the tantalising opportunity of more. Laying her head upon her front legs she closed her eyes, mind rushing to recall every detail, every colour of her families adventure. Her siblings did not seem to interpret the world in the way that she did, they would rush about investigating every as they went where as she preferred to watch and listen, taking her time with her exploration in an attempt to experience every drop of interest the world had dangled before her. Yet as she lay, eyes closed, mind racing and heart beating steadily within her chest all she could think about was the forest drawing her towards it. Perhaps the music of the night would be more enthralling than the day. Cautiously she opened one eye, strands of hair flew in front of her face as the wind playfully caught her hair, she could hear the gentle snores and low breathing of her siblings as she ventured to her feet. Determined not to disturb them. Her parents where not in sight yet she could hear the muffled words trail towards her from a nearby place; there was almost a tone of anger in his fathers voice yet Temima had no knowledge about what event could have unravelled such emotions from within him. The breeze continued to sweep her hair over her face, leading, pulling her to the left. Tilting her head she looked, the trees did not seem to far away at least. Slowly, tiptoeing in a near silent movement she headed towards the fascinating tree line. The nightly colours plunged the world into a darkened aura of green and navy, lit only by the twinkling elegance of the stars above. It was clearly magnificent, and something within her began to race as the curious notion arose, why did they always have to sleep during the night? They missed so much of the world. The tree line loomed into view as the young filly pranced towards it, the trees still towering above her in an unthreatening fashion, bare patches clearly visible even in the dim light. It seemed strangely quiet. The birds and squirrels asleep in their nests and home as Temima began to venture into the forest. Each step was cautious, hitting the ground with a gentle patter of hooves. She walked for what felt like an hour, the trees began to thicken with each metre of land she covered, thick bark appearing black in the absence of light below the canopy of leaves. It was getting impossible to see. Fear was settling in. If she could not see then she knew she would not be able to escape safely, nor would she manage to return before her absence was detected. Yet curiosity prickled at the tuffs of hair on her neck, as she turned her head for a brief moment to look behind her. Going home now would probably be the wisest decision, yet as she turned her head back the thought of discovery was tantalising. Raising her head high into the sky she smiled, it was time to make her own adventure; she was destined to travel this path. Taking a deep breath she started in the thick darkness. More time passed, whirling and spinning before her eyes as they darted between the dimming sights, flowers, thorns, logs, sleeping foxes. Each held its own magnificence’s in her mind, the rustle of leaves in the breeze, the crunching noises below her feet, even the gentle breathing caught her attention. Yet with each step now panic began to set it, it was too dark to see, she could not make out her tracks, nor could she hear any noises that would distinguish her route home. Circling on the spot her eyes darted from tree to tree, nothing but bark and darkness. Heart beating faster and faster, tears welling up in her eyes as her mind wildly attempted to think of something that could save her from her current situation. Next thing she knew she was running, pounding heart as she desperately tried to find her way home, but it was useless. Exhausted from her long day and now her extended evening her pace slowed, eyes slinking closed as she tried to keep them open. It was useless; tiredness was gripping at her as the darkness settled into her eyes. Collapsing she forced her body to the ground, the grass was cool and comforting in even such a strange place, yet as she slipped into an awkward sleep images of terrors that she imagined lurked in the darkness. Despicable images cloaked in shadows that swirled and danced like tongues of fire, a single wish held as a touch, she wanted to see go home, to her family. More than anything else she wished to return, yet as he dream played out she found herself always short of achieving such a goal. Waking with a start she felt wetness upon her cheek, her eyes flashed open, focusing in upon the light tan fur of her Mother, the warming eyes laced with concern as she smiled upon her. Yawning slightly she spoke, her sweet song like voice erupting from her mouth in excitement as she jumped to her feet, nuzzle her Mothers side caressingly as the excitement of her present consumed her body. “Mummy! Thank you for not leaving me here!” Her tail wagged playfully from side to side. She dared to allow her eyes to wander around her, her entire family were with them, the tree line nearby and beyond that the field she had played in so many times before it was surprising to her that she had managed to get so close to home before tiredness consumed her body. Typical. Yet she was thankful, she had learnt the lesson, until she was strong enough to defend herself she would not leave her Mothers side, lapping up each lesson like a tasteful snack that would improve her knowledge and understanding of the world. Her adventure was just beginning, and now she had a taste for adventure.

Name: Nissa Name meaning [if any]: - Gender: female
Personality: Nissa is a good but curious and live little lady which means she can't be still for one minute. She is also a bit naive and simple so she would believe in everything someone would tell her. She is always in hunt for mysteries.
Entry: (prompt one) Nissa was lost. She use her parents distraction to go in one of her's mystery hunts. She heard other foals talk about two legged who knew and spoke animal language. Nissa's eyes glowed as she was listening to them talk. It was a strange mystery for her. Her mother spoke of them having they're language but this was the first time she heard they spoke animal languages and not only one but few. So she was walking through forest in search of them in hope she could solve this case. And while she was occupied with search she forgot on time and night caught her and soon she was lost not knowing which way to go back home. '' Just my luck '' thought Nissa '' I managed to sneak away from ma parents and now it's got so late and dark I can't go back. Mom's going to be so mad. ''. She wandered around a little more but at night forest looks the same. No matter where she looked she couldn't find any familiar sign. She gave up it looked she'll have to find some place to hide until morning when she will be able to see better and find her way. She was looking for shelter when an owl started to hoot. Nissa froze and cold shudder crawled through her spine. She usually wouldn't be scared but then she would have her parents with her and there wouldn't be that strange sound of something moving in near by bushes. There was a squeal and Nissa started to run until she came to a big tree that had fall and made a little gave on the ground where she crawled in and looked her surrounding from it with eyes wide open. After what felt for her like eternity, she heard in all that night sounded of forest, someone calling someone. And the more she listened the voice was louder and more clear until she recognized her name.
'' NISSA!! NISSA!! WHERE ARE YOU SILLY CHILD!!! NISSA!! ''
It was her parents searching for her. But as much as she was glad to hear them she was also afraid to leave her shelter. So she started calling them at first quite almost whispering and then louder and louder.
'' MOM!!! DAD!!! I AM HERE!!! WHERE ARE YOU I CAN?T SEE YOU!!! MOM!!! DAD!!!... ''
When her parents came in her sight range she managed to collect enough courage to leave the safety of her shelter and run to them. She knew she will be grounded but she didn't care she was happy to see them. And also too young to learn something from this adventure so when few days pass she will be in search of new strange mystery.

Name: Arriana Name meaning [if any]: N/A Gender: Female Personality: Passionate Entry: Arri thought for a moment as her mothers rant sunk in. She pursed her lips and dug her hoof into the ground. That didn't make any sense to her. She'd never even met a human, how can her mother push her perconceptions on her? Arri was sure humans were just like Soquili. Sure, there were some mean ones. But the majority were probably alright, some even fabulous!
And didn't the humans place Arri in the basket? Didn't that make the basket? why would a being so evil do that to keep Arri safe. Sure, there was the thought that maybe they wanted to keep her fresh for furture consumptopn, but that was highly unlikley. And the food they placed in there kept Arri well fed as she grew to the proper strength.
And if the humans were so bad why didn't they hunt down the Soquili like Skinwalers and Kalonas did? Humans seemed to be, if not kind, then passive at least. Arri came to this conclusion becasue she'd not yet seen a human and deduced that they had not yet come after her. Of course, this may have meant that they just haven't gotten around to it, or are waiting for her to be bigger, but no soquili she knew had ever ben viciously attacked by a human. So that was just as un likley as the other negative option.
And so, from this little brain burst Arriana deduced that humans were not, in fact, evil beings, but passive, kind beings with agressive, angry beings scattered through the populations. Just like Soquili.
However, her mother knew what she knew. And it was unlikley that she would sawy. So Arriana simply smiled and nodded her understanding of her mother opinion and sauntered off for a nap. After all that thining she was exhausted!

Quote: Prompt one: You're out on your own, away from your parents for once. They are always watching you! Making sure youre safe! But sometimes that drives you crazy.. But these trails dont look the same at night as they do in the day..When you came out here. How did you get away from your parents? What did you do when you found out you were lost? Are you Brave enough to stay calm, or do you miss your family? Why? Prompt: 1 Name: Chu'magena Nickname: Chu' Name meaning [if any]: Snake moon : In Native American culture, the snake is a symbol of wisdom in the form of earthly knowledge (medicine, mathematics, literature, science etc) *the owl is a symbol of wisdom derived through years of experience*Gender: Female Personality: Uncertain: She is unsure of her place in the world and troubled by her lack of confidence, but as she grows she will discover that her strength was inside all along, she only needed to seek it out. Entry: Sighing softly the slender little filly plodded onwards, head and tail low and ears dipping to each side with a depressed flop. Why was she so unlike her siblings? The darkest brother was crazy, so wild and fearless. No one and nothing could stop him, not even their strong willed mother. He always had to be testing himself, seeking new challengers. The other was little better, and both made her nervous with their boisterous games.
And then there were the other foals she had run into, or rather, that had run into her. They were the same, laughing and screaming with shrill voices as they chased and played. They looked so happy and carefree as they tumbled about in the mud and scrambled through the bushes. Why was she so different from everyone?
These thoughts chased themselves around and around the young female’s mind as she wandered forlornly along the faded path, unconsciously moving further and further away from her family as she struggled to come to terms with the differences she saw in herself in comparison to the rest of them. Racing about madly made her sweat and fear creep over her coat as she struggled to not trip, fearing a broken leg. Hide and seek always made her panic as she was afraid of getting lost and never being found again, or ending up at the bottom of a cliff, or as kalona food.
What was wrong with her? There had to be something. She was so.. different from them. Why? What did she lack that they all possessed? How had she ended up so nervous all the time? She knew that it wasn’t her family, for her siblings were the same as the other foals and their parents treated them all the same. Drawing to a halt she hung her head, dark hazel eyes more like her mother’s than her father’s, stared at the ground in front of her hooves.
Blinking she suddenly startled, head snapping up and wide eyes staring at the unfamiliar trees all around her. Oh no! Where was she?! She.. she.. she didn’t know! How had she gotten here? Where was here?! Panic welled up within her chest, making it hard to breath and tears misted her vision. She was lost! Lost and alone and so very scared!
Trembling she tucked her tail tight against her rear, body lowering as she hunched down, panic paralysing her. She was going to die.. die all alone in this place. Oh please.. someone……
The woods remained eerily silent, with only the faint whispering of the wind in the trees. Seconds turned into minutes. Time slowly ticking by as the filly cowered in the softly dappled shadows. So quiet… so calm… the forest whispered gently around her, the sun was warm on her trembling hide. Gradually her shivers calmed, ceasing all together as she slowly sank to her knees. The gently breeze played in her fuzzy mane, reminding her of her mother’s loving caress. As her heart slowed, she heard the far away sounds of her herd. The shrill foal squeals and deeper, calmer adult voices as they corrected errant offspring.
Taking a slow breath, she carefully climbed back onto her hooves. She.. wasn’t lost. She wasn’t alone. They were there, her family and friends… just out of her sight. She could hear them, carried to her on the soft breeze that ruffled her coat and made the forest sing gently. She wasn’t alone. She wasn’t lost….
Carefully, placing her hooves with the utmost care, the fragile little filly turned herself around. She was still standing on the path she had followed… she could follow it back again, towards those voices that had been so painful to her, such a burden. But now, they were a beacon of light, her saviour. The shrill tones of the other youngsters carried easily on the friendly breeze. Home.. friends.. family…
Taking a steadying breath, the spindly-legged filly stepped out, her tiny hooves cutting faint prints into the soft earth. The marks she left behind more certain, just a little bit more confident and sure than those that led towards the forest. * Was inspired to draw this little sketch, hope its ok to include it. * Edited for typos * Edited name

(responce to prompt one)
Name: Chu’si Name meaning: Hopi for “snake flower”, perhaps the basket was named after its grandmother Chu’mana.. Gender: Female Personality: -Life is a game to her, and she is not really afraid of anything perhaps because she hasn’t experienced anything to be afraid of. She is rather inquisitive and outgoing and if there is something she wants to know or something she wants to do she will find a way. Entry:
Chu’si was sleeping alongside her family when a soft noise, probably just the wind, woke her up. The young filly yawned softly and blinked her eyes a few times while she stretched still waking up. After her was fully awake she looked around and saw that her siblings were still sleeping and her parents were not too far as usual just like it was every other night. Chu’si sighed softly, well now that she was up and no longer tired what should she do? The evening breeze blew through the trees around her and as she watched the trees sway something caught her eye and she turned her attention towards it. She didn’t know what it was and she was curious she knew that she wouldn’t be able to go back to sleep unless she tried to figure out what it was. She looked over at her parents who were a little ways away from her talking to each other before looking back at the mysterious thing in the trees and only to see it was getting farther away. Whether the wind was carrying it or it was moving on its own she didn’t know. Chu’si slowly and quietly made her way towards the trees trying to get a closer look, luckily she was dark colored in order to blend in with her surroundings otherwise they would have seen her. Once she was in the clear she took off after the object, which was getting farther away. After a little while the filly no longer knew where she was and the object had disappeared. “Now what do I do..” Chu’si asked herself as she looked around. As she thought about it she heard something behind her and turned around to see a small black wolf. She looked at it curiously, never having seen one before. The wolf seemed as though it wanted her to follow it so she did.
“Are you lost little one?” Came a voice from the trees.
Chu’si stopped and glanced around trying to find where the voice had come from. “Um.. no I was just following something and now I am here.” She said and nodded her head still not sure who she was talking to though she didn’t feel threatened at all. “Who are you?”
Shadi stepped out from her spot in the trees and looked at the foal who seemed rather familiar and looked almost like herself. Her friend Nikki, the wolf, must of thought so too because she didn’t normally interact with soquili other than Shadi. “I am Shadi, and you?” She said softly and smiled at the filly. “Where are your parents?” It was rather late for a foal to be out by herself, though she would admit that she had done the same thing a couple of times in her youth as well.
Chu’si looked at the mostly black and green mare who had appeared out of the shadows. “I am Chu’si..” She said as she continued to stare at the mare curiously. “Why do you look like me?” The young foal asked without even thinking. When the mare asked her a question she stopped staring. “My parents? They are with my siblings, they probably don’t even know I left yet.” She said and nodded.
Shadi watched the foal and smiled. “Hello Chu’si.” She was a bit taken back by the question and though about it slowly. “I am not sure why we have similar appearances..” She said thinking to herself, she didn’t think her parents had anymore kids after the last two.. When Chu’si mention that she had snuck away from her parents Shadi blinked slightly. “Don’t you think they are worried about you? It is not nice to just leave without telling them..”
Chu’si shrugged and looked at Shadi, she just wanted to find out what the thing was though now she would never really know anyway.. she didn’t want to ask her parents because they would have just probably had not let her. “My parents are always watching me.. I just left for a little bit.. I am going to go back..” Though in truth she couldn’t remember which way she had come.
Shadi sighed and looked at Chu’si. “Well though you didn’t mean harm it is not good for you to be out by yourself. I think it is time for you to go home. The wolf should remember where you came from I think she was watching you.” Shadi couldn't believe her own words she sounded like a parent almost which was strange.
Chu’si nodded her head slightly. “Okay.” The wolf was watching her? That must have been what she saw after all! She smiled and started to follow the wolf back to her family. When she got there she the wolf left her at the tree line and she snuck back to her sleeping spot. Her softly yawned and her little brown eyes fluttered a couple times before slowly closing, though her mind was racing with questions like why did the mare look like her, the little foal had tuckered herself out. Those questions would have to wait until tomorrow.

Name: Frasco Name meaning [if any]: Free. It made sense, as a Mustang, and with a grandparent sharing a Spanish name. smile Gender: Male Personality: Frasco is rambunctious, to put it simply. He likes to play and he plays hard. He frequently exhausts himself by keeping up with older foals and trying to outdo them. He loves to run (and buck a bit when he’s winning—it’s not showing off, it’s celebrating!) and loves to tussle with other colts. If he can’t lead a herd just yet, then he’s at least going to lead the foals. Or so he thinks. He has a broad streak of mustang wildness in him that may be tempered a *little* with age, but he’ll probably always have moments when he gets a wild glint in his eye and takes off running to who knows where? Entry: Prompt #2
It had been a long day already and the sun was just setting. Frasco had pushed himself to the point of trembly knees as he raced around the pasture with the others, trying to outshine them all. Today’s moment of triumph came when he proved that he could stand on his hind hooves the longest without toppling over to his side or all the way onto his back. His haunches were sore and he’d probably be a little slower tomorrow, but it had been worth it today.
Now, having eaten, he leaned against Marahute’s side, one ear twitching lazily as a breeze swirled about the tip. Flick. There was something he wanted to remember. Flick flick! Something important. His head drooped a little. It was heavy and he was warm and full and so sleepy…but it was important. Something to do with the—oh! Two legs!
His head jerked up. He blinked a few times to help keep his eyes open and craned his neck to look up at his mother. “C’n I tell you a secret, mama? Somethin’ you can’t tell nobody else.” She’d told him her secret one night as he drifted off to sleep. She’d keep his too, he was sure. He blinked a little harder and leaned a little more.
“I don’ like the two-legs either. The hoomans,” he tried. It was an odd word and one that didn’t quite fit in his mouth. “Know why?” He flicked that ear again. “They walk funny. They only got two legs, but they’re too big to hop like the little birds and too funny-shaped to walk like the big’uns. And they don’t got wings.” He yaaaaaawned and rested his head against Marahute’s leg. “If they don’t got wings where the other legs should be, then they oughta fall right over. But they don’t. They shouldn’t oughta be able to run around or carry things, but they can.”
“You know what I think?” Another yawn stole over him and his eyes drifted shut. He could keep talking even if he couldn’t see. He could smell his mother and knew she was there watching over him. “I think they’re jealous. That’s why some of ‘em wanna tie us up an’ chase us around. They’re lookin’ for their legs back but they’re lazy an’ they think we got extra ones so they want ‘em for themselves. But they won’t get mine,” he promised as fiercely as his sleepy mind would let him. His eyes stayed shut. “Not yours or mine or Papa’s, ‘cause nothin’ is as fast as a mustang when we run an’ …run. An’…run.”
Frasco took one last deep breath and fell deep asleep.
