Luke flicked an ear at Reyson's chuckle. Not sure what to make of it, he decided to try what was harder for him. He had a beachball sized rose in front of himself, and again, tried to drop it slowly to a smaller amount. The rose quickly lost it's form and drained through his fingers to the ground. He shook off his now damp front paws and sighed. "When I was little and first discovered my ability, making figures was what I loved doing." He said conversationally. "After I stopped practicing, I never lost my interest in it. When I left the centaurs, I picked it back up." He pulled up another large ball of water from the river to play with. "Suppose I should have broadened my practice horizons more often than I did." He said with a light smirk.

Reyson opened both eyes this time watching Luke struggle to make the rose smaller. He watched as the rose dissolved and fell into the river.
"I'm guessing the centaurs didn't like you then." he kept pestering . He was very curious about Luke's past with the centaurs. He knew centaurs possessed no magic so he guessed they would be fearful of someone like Luke. "Practice makes perfect right?" he said lazily picking at the grass by his paws.

Luke looked away. "Not all of them." He said again, with the same stoney tone as before. But being a rather resilient emotion-wise character, he started smirking again. "One can only hope." He flicked his tail slowly as the ball took different forms in his hands. "How long did it take you to learn what you know? The naga's teach you everything or did ya find someone else?"

Reyson tutted. At least some centaurs liked Luke. Reyson was treated like some brainless soul. Those stupid serpents.
"My magic?" Reyson cocked his head to the side thinking. "I guess they taught me the basics but I learned the rest myself..." he didn't remember how he learned his magic, but he knew he needed magic. "It didn't take me that long...just a couple of months at most...it holds me together ya know." he poked at the stitching on his arm.

Luke raised an eyebrow at the tutting. He had left out one small detail... 'not all of them' meant the mother had been the only centaur/ess who had liked him. So he left the noise Reyson made alone and didn't pry, hoping the favor would be returned. "Holds you together? Literally?" Dropping the water, he peered curiously and with great interest at the stitching on the younger cattaur. "So, if you didn't know your magic well, you'd be falling apart." He smirked playfully and chuckled. "Brings a whole new meaning to the phrase 'keep it together.'"

Reyson chuckled, "Yeah. I would be a mess if it wasn't for magic." He flexed his arms smirking. "Jealous?" he even wondered if anyone would be jealous of someone like him. He was a literal ragdoll after all.

"Jealous? Me?" Luke laughed, speaking playfully without sounding insulting. "What have I got to be jealous of? I'm a sexy beast!" He then shook his head, still chuckling. "But who knows? Maybe there is someone out there who wishes they were you." His mood went a little more serious ofter that. "Pretty much everybody has someone who looks up to them, just like they look up to someone else."

"Oh yes. Very sexy indeed." Reyson snickered along with Luke. "I wonder who..." Reyson put his hand to his chin pretending to ponder. "You're quite the philosopher...er..." Reyson realized he never even learned the cattaur's name. "...Do I even know your name?" he asked curiously.

Luke waved his hand modestly. "Tis a basic fact of life, my young friend. I have come to accept my overwhelming good looks with much dignity and grace." He laughed at being called a philosopher, something he would never have called himself, then paused. His name? He laughed in amusement as he ran a hand bashfully through his hair. "Nope. I don't believe I ever said it. On that note, neither have you told me yours." His tail flicking with his cheery mood, he stuck out his hand to the rag-tag teen. "It's Luke."

"I'm Reyson. Nice to meet you Luke." he said to the older cattaur and shaking his hand. "Interesting we got to know each other without introducing ourselves." he chuckled his ears twitching restlessly.
"I'm surprised." Reyson pretended to pout. "If you're so good-looking then, why aren't the ladies chasing after you?"

"Hey Reyson." Luke laughed softly. "It's a first for me, I'll say." "I never said they weren't chasing me." He said, then laughing to buy himself a moment to think. "It's just they've learned that following me around does them no good. I'm looking for the right one, so when they strike out, they just watch from afar and hope to try again later." He knew it was a load of bull pucky, but he kept a straight face and a solemn nod.

"It's a first for me as well." Reyson grinned.
Reyson nodded, believing every word Luke said. "I must say Luke, you must look very noble to the ladies." he nudged him with his elbow. "Teach me your ways master!" Reyson said trying to look serious.

Luke shrugged modestly. "Eh, they do get sad when I say no, but they keep at it. Means I'm doing something right." He smirked, though slowly his mind started feeling thick. What was he getting himself into?! Better not go too much deeper.... "Ah, the right way is different for everyone, and must be found out by each individual." He said seriously, thinking that it made sense. Then he remembered, "Though here's a tip that can go for almost everyone. Always leave them guessing. Don't tell them everything about yourself all at once. It's a bit overwhelming and there would be nothing new to keep the girl coming back to you. Gotta give them time to like you." This is actually something he had learned, from watching others... so he was starting to feel better.

"Hmm..." Reyson put his hand to his chin pondering. "So I have to find out for myself, eh?" he smirked, but he was wondering how he could approach female taurs and not make them run away. He looked like a ragdoll after all.
"Ah. I see." Reyson stood with his back straight. "Most girls look at blush at me from afar." he bragged. It felt kinda weird lying about something as ridiculous as this. 'Who is more popular?' He mentally beat himself.

Luke sighed mentaly, feeling he had caught himself there and was ready to back away from the subject. But first... "Blush at you from afar? Why are they blushing?" Then an idea popped into his head. "Well," He started, the idea taking form. "What a guy's strength is, what he's good at, is rather important. Have you tried showing off your magic skill? You might find different types of females liking different magic skills best. And since your magic seems pretty well-rounded you should be able to tell who likes what and which type you prefer." Since when was he the love guru?! He shook his head, tail twitching quickly. "Speaking of magic, I'm here for a reason." With a soft chuckle, he faced the river again. He chose a spot near the river's center, and bent the water so that it arched, like it was going over a ball or rock. It was a smooth and controlled arch about 20 feet long and 10 feet high.
