Superhuman Ability: Norma has a Chrono perception altering ability. Essentially when she activates it by holding her breath she can create a field that can incase a set area, in which case anybody caught inside loses complete and utter perception of time. To someone outside this makes it seem that everyone is frozen as if time is stopped, that is not the case. Everyone is just stuck in a single moment, her powers do not stop physical phenomenome such as momentum and movement, or real time physics. She can stop a gunman from pulling the trigger but she can't stop a bullet once it's been fired. This power makes it seem like she has super speed or can teleport. Increasing the area of effect for her power is detrimental, it is usually ten feet. Any farther and her heart begins to slow or stop completely, putting a huge limit to her already set limit of holding her breath. Her powers don't effect psychics too well only slowing them down. She has incased at max an area of thirty five meters. Automated machines are unaffected, but operated ones may crash as the operator within will lose perception of the flow of things. {{Think about the second X-Men movie and how Charles froze the room EXCEPT the students}}
Abilities: Norma is an accomplished Gymnast and, like Thomas, a fencer. Unlike Thomas, her admiration for culture extends fencing, into Kendo, German swordsmanship, and Egyptian swords. She speaks several languages aside from what most would expect. English and German obviously, but also Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, and Greek. Athletic, she enjoys much of the same things as her brother Thomas. She surfs frequently. She Enjoys the Sambo Martial art she was taught to defend herself, and holds it over everyone that she is the only one to beat her brother Thomas, since before he lost his arm.

Eyes: purple-They have a tendency to glow slightly in the darkness. Skin Tone: very pale Height: 5'4" Weight: 125 Build: athletic and slightly muscular, most of her muscle in her legs (since she is good at running away) Race/Nationality: white American (of some kind of European descent), from the Upper Peninsula (UP) Noteable Characteristics: She tends to smell like baked goods because she loves cooking sweets. The only other notable thing about her is her looks (or lack there of) since she always wears a full-body black cloak, complete with hood. Aerin never takes it off, even when sleeping...and don't even ask about showering. Uniform: Since she is a summoner, she wears a full black cloak with the hood up. Without it, her powers wouldn't be as strong, and are harder to control. Underneath her cape, she wears a short tight-fitting black and green tank top, and tight black shorts with a pair of thin green stripes down the sides. On her feet she wears black running shoes with green accents. Her only accessories are her black gloves with the fingers cut off. Standard Dress: She still wears a full black cloak, but she will wear an array of cheap t-shirts and tank tops with athletic shorts. On her feet, she wears a ragged pair of tennis, desperately in need of being replaced. She also sports a lovely raggedy pair of gloves that used to be black, but are now a lovely shade of dingy gray from too much washing and rainwater. Place of Birth: She was born in her parent's vehicle, which was a fancy black Lamborghini. Reason being, they were successful bank robbers, and if they went to a hospital, they would stand a great chance of being arrested. They wisely kidnapped a doctor so their precious little bundle would have a better chance of survival. Luckily, Aerin was born healthy and fared just fine...can't say the same for the doctor... Family: Mr. and Mrs. Smith, seasoned bank robbers with experience in a few other criminal fields, like kidnapping doctors to deliver their offspring. Unluckily for Aerin, they were caught for robbery when she was still young, and she was then sent to live with her uncle, the only other living relative. He was not as successful, and his prized possession was a rusty pickup, which also served as his home. He died in a construction accident when Aerin was in seventh grade. Superhuman Ability: She can summon undead warriors, although only one at a time. They can take five hits before they turn to dust, but if the attack is very powerful, they can only sustain two hits. The undead warriors will do whatever she bids, whether it be in combat or out of combat. Abilities (not gained from mutation): She doesn't know any kind of hand to hand combat (currently) so she is quite good at running away. Since her parents were bank robbers, she also acquired the art of opening safes and locks and disabling alarms. Also, she is good at dodging. Otherwise, she doesn't have any other strengths. Personal Weaknesses: She cannot fight at all. She figures that's what her undead warriors are for. Aerin is also lazy, and tries to find an easy way out which might not exist. As for her undead warriors, she can only summon one at a time, and hope they can withstand enough damage for her to escape into the shadows. Personality: Unashamedly lazy, pure and simple. She will try to get out of things that she does not like to do, even going so far as using her undead warriors as guinea pigs to avoid whatever it may be. The only time she isn't lazy is when she feels she absolutely must do something, but since she is also very care-free and optimistic, this doesn't happen often. Hobbies: Aerin loves baking and drawing. If she isn't in class or sleeping, she will most likely be in the kitchen making her favorite sweets, since she has an enormous sweet tooth. She will sketch while waiting for her food to cook in the oven. Mutant/Human Relations View: Aerin knows she came from a tainted background, and wants to make up for the bad things her parents did. Since her parents were humans, she likes humans, unless they are doing evil in the world. She is very care-free and optimistic, and so doesn't think too much of humans and mutants in general. She sees everyone living on the earth, trying to make a living and make a name for themselves before they pass away. History: She was born in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and has stayed there until now. Her parents were bank robbers, but were arrested when she was young, and so she was sent to live with her uncle, her only other living relative. Her uncle didn't have much money, so they lived in a pickup truck and took odd jobs to get by. Aerin didn't mind this lifestyle because she could just play in the woods and work if necessary. This is how she developed her habit of laziness. She had also gone to school for a time, but dropped out of eighth grade to focus on making more money to get by because her uncle passed away the year before. Reading a newspaper she snitched from work, she saw an article telling of how students from Academy X thwarted evil in a recent conflict. From reading that article, she decided to go and give this Academy X school a try. She couldn't get any worse than just scraping by on odd jobs, which was hard enough because the people in town knew she was an odd child and the daughter of convicted felons. Since she can't drive, she summoned an undead to drive and prayed that they wouldn't be pulled over on the way there...or have the bucket-of-bolts pickup break down before they reached New York. Notable Characteristics: Numerous lined scars rake across the base of his body, (chest and back,) and a few smaller ones through his limbs and face. Some are simply in stitch mark form, however many appear to be improperly cared for before they healed entirely. One particularly large scar tears down from his back right shoulder blade down near to the base of his spine. Uniform: Standard Generic Blue and Gold Uniform (New Mutants) Standard Dress: Generally seen in basic graphic t-shirts, or sweatshirts and athletic style pants or shorts, depending on the weather. Despite the scars on his arms and legs, he has no issues showing them off to friend, however in public he can occasionally become a bit recluse about letting them show.

Superhuman Ability: Kinetic-Manipulation: The ability to, upon physical contact, absorb, store, release, and redirect various desired quantities of ‘relative’ kinetic energy. Kinetic energy includes anything from a ball flying at Kraft’s face, to the latent molecular kinetic (heat) energy stored in liquid water. Weaknesses of Ability: While Kraft’s ability allows him to essentially become invulnerable to physical attacks, there are a few weaknesses associated with said power. For starters, Kraft can only absorb kinetic energy, which means any other forms of energy still affect him, (ie. Psyonic, Radiation, Electric...) Kraft’s power works with kinetic energy much like how a capacitor works with electric energy. There are limits to the quantity that can be stored before the capacitor must discharge. Kraft at this point has only his own personal mental limits holding him back, however he theorizes that the physical limits of his power may be in some way related to Einstein’s (E=mc^2) special relativity equation. While storing kinetic energy, Kraft must maintain control and focus on the energy in his body. If Kraft were to reach his mental limit, or be forced to lose his concentration, (knocking him unconscious,) then he releases any stored energy in his body. This is generally expelled in a harmful manner, (although can occasionally simply dissipate into the air/earth,) resulting in anything from internal bleeding, bone breaking, hemorrhaging, or worse yet loss of limb(s). (Hence the scar damage on his body.) And last but not least Kraft has to consciously activate his ability, which means if he is caught off guard you can still do physical damage to him.

Further analysis over latent ambient energy in the local atmosphere... Rough calculation as to the latent energy stored in a SINGLE Liter (ONE cubic decimeter) of room temperature, room pressure air, (25 C, 1 atm). With a 78.8% N2 composition, and a 21% O2 composition, the calculated latent energy of just these two elements generates 1044.54 J. Additional trace elements cover any underestimates in the calculations.

He can at times falter in confidence becoming impassive, aloof, and recluse. Personality: An all around general smart-a**, Chris tends to pride himself on getting the best reaction he can out of his audiences, and that audience is everyone and anyone that will pay attention to him at any given time he desires it. Despite the seemingly silly and overly talkative outward nature, Chris does enjoy his alone time, listening to music, and personal studies. Hobbies: Swimming, Sports, Martial Arts, Listening to, and forcing others to listen to electronic music, and studying anthropological books on shamanism (don’t ask why)
Mutant/Human Relations View: Chris understand that humans and mutants will never end up living in peace. To him it’s an unrealistic dream, and there will always be a constant struggle for power from each side. Being a mutant himself does force himself to be partially biased in favor of his own race, however he does strive for some peaceable relations, although his true views are far more complicated.
History: It stared out as a normal life, a single kid, growing up in a simple family. Chris’s mother was American, so despite being born in Sweden he was granted dual citizenship. It mattered little since his family moved to America at a fairly young age, before he could remember anything. His parents quickly pushed him into the sports life, originally starting with soccer before he eventually, (mostly because of his small size,) switched over the swimming.
Life had been pretty standard. Nothing out of the ordinary seemed to happen around Chris. Certainly he and his parents had heard of mutant issues over the news. But it never seemed to happen around them. But unlike the spectacular discoveries that many people always came upon when they realized they were mutants, Chris came about his powers in a more, covert and simple manner.
It started out in simple terms. The occasional pencil or pen shooting halfway across the room at a mere touch of his finger. The soccer ball I gym class smacking him square in the face, and feeling absolutely no pain. Chris was quick to pick up on the pattern. But it took him a good couple of years just to figure out what his power was, in the process, damaging his body in many ways through trial and error experiments. In the midst of his experiments he came up with the name Kraftwerk, mostly in as way of making fun of the old electronic band Kraftwerk, but also because in his native Swedish language ‘kraft’ meant ‘force’ ‘strength’ or ‘power’. Swimming didn’t help in his covert methods however, as his fellow teammates would see the wounds, and question his sanity. He managed to lie his way through his friends and parents to cover up the truth, keeping to his swimming and academics to ward off any notion of having a problem.
But it wasn’t enough. Eventually there would be that one moment where he would lose control, he knew it would come one day. And sure enough it did; in plain sight of hundreds of people in a regional state swimming competition none the less. It was in the last leg of his event, he was finally kicking his muscles into high gear when it happened. The water around his legs and chest began to freeze, crystallize against his skin as he felt a surge of energy billow into his body. It was too much for him to handle however as the energy came pouring out, splitting open his back in a wide arc from his right shoulder blade down to his spine.
It took him weeks to recover, but his parents kept by his side, understanding his situation. After much obvious discussion his parents convinced him that the Xavier Academy would be best for his safety, and the rest is well...obvious...

Abilities: Machiko has the ability the create electricity useing her body's natural electrical field. She also has the ability to magnetise anything metal and make it stick to anything else metal or human. Basically anything that has an electrical field. Because of this, she can fly using a piece of metal by magnetising it and changing the object's polarity to be the opposite of the Earth's.

Personality: Machiko has a sarcastic personality. She’s not afraid to tell anyone their biggest flaws and laugh about them. She has a bad habit of causing people around her to want to hurt her because of her sass. She believes that people should be able to laugh at their greatest faults and wants to help them learn to accomplish that.

Mutant/Human Relations View: She doesn’t understand why humans and mutants can’t just get along. Other than her want for peace, she’s indifferent.
History: Machiko’s family was full of control freaks. Her father is an immigrant from Japan; he married an American, Machiko’s mother. They believe in the traditional values from their homeland and demand that their children be the same. She is the middle child of four, and the youngest of the three girls. Her younger brother, being the only boy, receives the majority of their father’s attention. Her eldest sister is her mother’s favorite. Machiko’s older sister, Aneko, is closest to Machiko in age and personality. Although Aneko respects her parent’s wishes and strives for their attention, she loves to play the rebel with Machiko, as long as her parents aren’t watching.
Her parents own a Japanese cuisine restaurant. All of Machiko’s siblings help out in the shop, however, being the rebel that she is, Machiko refused. She prefers to do other things with her time. Her parents resent the fact that she has disrespected their wishes and they constantly punish her for it. Machiko spends more time in her room grounded than anywhere else, because of this, she doesn’t have many friends.
A few days before her parents threw her out of the house, her powers began developing. Machiko was reading one of her favorite books; when her brother ran into her room and stole it, like any younger brother would. She chased after him, yelling and grasping at his clothing. He turned sharply and, wearing socks on the wood floor, she fell. Machiko felt like the ground was dissolving underneath her, so she immediately crawled back the way she came in a panic. The ground where her skin was touching was scorched black.
A few days after ‘The Book Incident’ as Machiko would call it later, she told her sister, Aneko. She reacted badly and ran from her sister. Machiko thanked her luck no one else was home and at the shop. Since then, Machiko is hesitant to tell anyone about her powers. However, her sister told her parents and they also reacted badly. They threw her out of the house because they believe it would disrupt their lives if she stayed. They removed all trace of her existence from her house in an attempt to return their lives to normalcy. She was sent to the Academy to keep her safe, Machiko doesn’t blame her parents, she just wishes she was lucky enough to be born human like the rest of her family.

Standard Dress: Elli wears a long brown coat filled with hidden pockets of complex tools on long straps of leather which he unfurls when activating his mutant abilities to create. A pair of goggles sits atop his head, used as binoculars, a microscope, night vision, and infra-red they server many uses and he never goes anywhere without them. A pair of heavy leather work boots, covered in small scars and dents and strapped on with heavy metal buckles adorn his feet. He seems to often also have small devices on his person at all time, whether they be a small backpack powering some sort of weapon, mechanical flying camera's searching for materials to use for crafting, or one of countless other mechanical wonders. Watches and gauges of seemingly random purposes hang loosely from his coat, each randomly checked by Ellion from time to time for purposes he never bothers to explain to those around him.

Family: None, Elli grew up an orphan until deciding to run away shortly after the discovery of his abilities.
Superhuman Ability: Elli has the ability to understand and breakdown devices in a matter of seconds, then reconstruct them just as fast. His mutation allows his eyes to asses mass, weight, and general construction by sight and sound alone, making even the most complex of machines or gadgets rather simple to re-create given he can attain access to the materials needed. Smaller devices, such as hand held energy cannons or glide packs can be made in a very short period of time. Though when doing so without error Elli requires complete focus and zones out whats around him, often making doing so very dangerous if not impossible without getting himself killed. Personal Strengths: Toolbox is a quick thinker and a genius with the ability, given he can find access to enough metals and other materials to use his powers, to make nearly anything he would need in any situation. This makes him versatile and thus an extremely valuable asset in a wide spectrum of simulations. Personal Weaknesses: When using his powers Toolbox needs a small chunk of time to develop anything "big" time in which his focus is turned away, nearly to the point of disabling him, while creating a device. He often doesn't take life as seriously as he should either, and is drawn to bouts of curiosity even when it would put him in danger. Personality: Light hearted, witty, and always up for slacking off. If it weren't for his bouts of laziness Elli likely could have made millions long ago off his creations and lead a rather simplistic and lush life. Yet his curiosity and sense of adventure have kept him away from investing his time wisely into his future, using his abilities more often than not to create half functioning devices before loosing interest and moving on to another project. Hobbies: Elli is a doodler, always scribbling down mathematical formulas that could be used to create his next invention, be it a large robot with an excessive amount of weaponry or a teleportation device powered off materials he could never get his hands on.
Mutant/Human Relations View: Elli truly wishes that mutant human relations where better, that they could live together... partly out of greed so that he could move on to fund his own dream lifestyle, but at the same time as a way of helping societies rebuild by providing blueprints and prototypes to protect people from natural disasters, disease, or need to war over resources. Alas do to his past he has become very un-trusting of those interested in using his abilities.
History: Born to parents he never knew, Elli was given up the day he was born to an orphanage within the poor district of a small city in southern Ireland. Always the curious one Elli oft found himself being scorned by his caretakers for disassembling radio's, microwaves, or any other mechanical device he could get his hands on. By the time he was eight his powers began to manifest and he created toys that walked on their own, responded to verbal commands, flew, and much more out of nothing more than scrap metal and old burnt out wiring he dug up from a discarded lamp in his room. Unfortunately his "gifts" while not repulsed like most mutants, instead drew the attention of the IRA. Without having any real view on the groups intents or goals, he was forced by a radical faction of the infamous group to create new weapons and devices for them. In time Elli grew the courage to escape two years later, and stowed away on a boat to America, using a short lived camouflage device to sneak on. Once caught and brought to child services to determine whether to deport him or not, having no idea who or even where his parents where in Ireland, he was instead taken on by professor Xaviors institute when some legal strings where pulled. How he had been found out by the institute he did no know, but he was grateful to finally have a place to call home where his abilities could grow in the fashion HE wanted to use them... rather than to be manipulated by others for nefarious purposes and causes he wanted nothing to do with.

His appearance, his muscle mass, his height, weight, eye color, hair color, etc. He cannot impersonate people at his level, but he can camouflage himself by altering his facial features, and adjusting his body structure just a tad. This also includes the ability to grow bone spurs, and increase his skeletal durability, by stimulating his marrow he can grow resilient skeletal 'armor.' He can also force his bones to jut from his joints, or from his hands, and create skeletal blades, but he can't remove them from his body. With more training such a feat might be possible, but not yet. Along with this ability comes a collateral regenerative ability. Because he can stimulate, and manipulate his own body in many different ways, he can consciously speed up the healing of wounds by willing the affected muscles, skin, and bones to mend themselves. He wants humans to stop the prejudice, and let there be peace. Mostly he just wants the hate to end. History: Cedric was born into an old money family. The Erikson's had a hefty estate, and many servants, and everything a boy could want, Cedric had. Except for someone to play with. As a child, Cedric was ignored a lot by his parents, who had several things to do, all the time. Appearing at banquets, keeping up appearances, estate upkeep, business meetings, etc. Cedric's only caring for was done by a nanny. So, the neglection of his parents drove him into a depressive state, only to be worried on by his nanny, who pestered him to no end to stay chipper, and offered nothing more than consolation of his parent's return at some hour, which turned into a lie. As Cedric was an only child, he never had any siblings to play with either. As he lived on an estate, he had no young neighborhood children to play with. It was just himself, his nanny, and his family's servants. This did nothing to save the boy from stress, and depression. He tried to find ways to entertain himself throughout the house, but only ended up with punishment being levied upon him at the end of a ruler. At the age of seven, he was sent off to boarding school, and his nanny transferred to other duties within the estate. This was both fortunate, and unfortunate. Already being a depressed young man, he tried desperately to fit in with the other children, but only found rejection and forced isolation. He did well in school, though, despite his emotional state. At the age of nine, Erikson estate suffered a massive explosion. One of the maids had foolishly left the oven on, and Cedric I was a pipe smoker. He'd taken his pipe into the kitchen, to grab his usual afternoon sandwich, and in the process of making his sandwich, he'd attempted to light his pipe up. The result was a horrible explosion that claimed both Cedric's mother and father, and a few of the house workers. Cedric was now an orphan, albeit the sole beneficiary of a fortune. An orphan none the less. His father's lawyers took care of the insurance and will business, and set his fortune into trust funds, and a good amount of money was paid to the boarding school, enrolling him for many years to come. Needless to say, this event brought Cedric lower than he'd been before. It was now that he started cutting, and hiding his scars under his school uniform. He hid it very well, indeed, for no one ever suspected. Puberty began to hit at age thirteen, when his cutter scars began to heal faster than normal. In hours, they'd simply disappear. One day, His hair grew out three inches, in a single day. Another day, during physical education, he had a terrible trip, and landed on his arm wrong, breaking his forearm. Three days later, it was fully healed. Hearing news of these strange happenings, his father's lawyers searched for an answer. When they found out about Xavier's Institute, they enrolled him as quickly as they could. Cedric's progression in understanding his power has been a slow one, as he's mostly concentrating on his actual education, and doesn't like interacting much with anyone, deep down, despite how he acts around people. History:Victor spent much of his childhood gallivanting around the world with his family. They were world class travelers, working in one Australia one day and the Brazil the next. Much of his childhood is obscured by memories of foreign family and friends. They finally settled in New York, taking jobs and immigrating fully into the country. Victor settled into the life they were trying to build and abhorred every minute of it. He felt, out of place in the presence of such people and because of this fact he always found himself assuming control of all that happened in his town. Life for him was great up until the day his powers activated. That day started as normal as any other. He rode in the back of the car with his brother as his parents sat in the front, arguing on their way home. He wanted more and grew tired of the way they slipped into a more complacent lifestyle. He never wanted such a thing but as the conversation hit a surging point the car swerved and ran into incoming traffic. At that moment his powers activated, shifting him into his diamond form. His life was saved but their parents didn't survive the crash. For weeks on end Victor would remain in diamond form, opting to not feel instead of feel the loss. He stuck close to his brother up until the moment he joined the students at the school. After about a year he's learned much more than he's ever knew and has grown to accept the deaths of his parents as signs of the frailty and weakness of humanity. He can perceive the natural magnetic auras surrounding living beings. With this he is able to detect many different changes in the people or things around him, in effect using this as a sort of X-ray vision to detect others or a lie detector to notice the slightest change in energy.

Personality: Everett's personality is, for all intents and purposes, nonexistent. He's an actor in it's truest sense and prefers to keep himself as mailable as his roles. He normally puts of the facade of the 'Ice King' as he's been dub by the paparazzi but beneath that he's a lonely person. Though it never shows on his face he dislikes being so distant from the others but due to the way he was raised he only knows how to push people further away. He's a cold individual but only because he's never had the chance to interact with others outside of his roles
Personal Strengths: He's loyal to those he deems acceptable. Strong-willed to a fault. Brash, cold, and calculating. He's mellowed out through the year and learned to not snap at the drop of a hat Personal Weaknesses: He's still extremely distant from the others. He puts on the act of getting along with the others but deep down he still hasn't learned how to place any emotional connection on them.

History:Everett grew up in quite a wealthy family just outside of London. He was a spoiled child, always getting what he wanted when he wanted it but no matter what he was never satisfied. Both his father and mother never had time for him. His mother worked on the board at the College of Royal Physicians and his father worked in the british parliament. He grew up to resent them both, living in a family of five. His childhood ended far sooner than most as and his siblings matured. They were home schooled for much of their lives until Everett broke away at age 13. He began acting, first in a local theater but soon he got his big break as he became a guest star and then a regular on a popular show in the UK. In his second year of acting he auditioned for a part in a major movie. He got the role and from that moment on he was addicted, addicted to the fame. He stared in movie after movie, gaining more and more fame until he was ready to make the jump overseas. On press tour through the states there was a catastrophic accident. Everett fell from atop a piece of the set, a height that surely should have killed him, but as he fell his powers activated, saving him but nearly ruing his career. At the moment, the world was against mutants and to have himself outed at the time would've been detrimental to his career. To protect his career, Everett's agent spun a little lie. He said the fall was a stunt and that Everett was currently getting into character for an upcoming movie where he would star as a mutant madman. The lie worked and under it's cover Everett's agent sent him to the institute until he was deemed successful with controlling his abilities.

Until she arrived at the Academy, she did not know how to turn the vision off—So she was seeing through everything around her— and living with difficulty, as would a blind individual. In that time of her life she learned to use her other senses to help her get around. Thus her sense of spatial awareness is more developed than the average person. She learned, through trial and error, that she was adept at basic free running. But since she's been at school for the past two years, she has learned to switch back to a standard field of vision. As of now, visible light, X-ray, and Infrared are the only fields of vision she has been able to utilize. Evangeline was always inclined to agree. History: Eva was born on a perfectly sunny Wednesday, to ludicrously pleased middle-upper class parents. They lived for free in an upscale apartment in Manhattan -- her father working as the superintendent. He had been the super since before she had been born, before the Magneto attack. He was very good at his job, and so, the tenants and board members overlooked his mutant status. Some didn't even know he was a mutant, simply thought he was an extraordinarily talented pianist. She and her sister went to a small, progressive, liberal school. There wasn't bullying, there was rarely any hate, and if there was, it was for the anti-mutation party. The school had top of the notch security, and parents were often well connected. She didn't really have friends. Her parents supplied her an endless stream of books to read. The report cards often told her to speak up more often. Eva ignored them and her gregarious mother. She was perfectly content in her own head. Sort of. Right up until the age of fifteen. Her mutation surfaced. At first she would walk into gates, doors, completely seeing past them and not realizing they were there. Eva often walked into people, plants, and trees. Cars were a constant threat. She kept quiet, not wanting anyone to know that she was...er...going blind. Then she started seeing through the clothes of teachers, of her parents, of her classmates. This. This was a problem. She finally came clean to her mother, who talked to her father, who talked to some of his mutation expert friends. A consensus was reached, and her mother started calling her Christopher Reeve. Her father took pity, using Supergirl instead. Friends of the family would often visit and try to help her manage her ability. That year was particularly inconvenient for Evangeline. She discovered that she had a tendency to bruise easily, and that her hearing was much more useful than she originally realized. Sound was often her only way of detecting cars and people in otherwise empty areas. Managing the mutation wasn't going so well for Eva. She'd learned well enough how to turn it on, but had a damned difficult time turning it off. When her parent's had learned of the nature of her mutation, they had agreed it'd be in her best interest to enroll her in Academy X for high school. Fall came and went, she's been at the school since, attracting as little possible attention as she could manage. Eva has since deduced that it isn't particularly difficult to maintain a wallflower status at the school, as the student body seems to be mostly of a certain, genetic perfection. This, she finds wonderful for both them and her. Great for them so that they have plenty of eye candy, great for her, since no one would think to notice her amongst all those bon bons. Zephyr Aryn Name:Krythin Codename: Nitemare Academy X Student Team:paragon/Omega Age: 17 (When she is on the Omega team she turned 18.) Birthday:6/6/91 Hair: Krythin has long, black hair that flows to her waist, with bangs that are swept off to her right, covering part of her right eye. There are some orange streaks that melt through her bangs, but diffuse before they reach much past her chin. Eyes:Her eyes are a bright green, and much more brilliant than the normal human green eyes. (Since there is no category for teeth, I will stick it here. Her canines are just a little more prominent than a normal human's, and tend to show more when she smiles.) Skin Tone: Krythin has eerily pale skin. When in gargoyle form, her skin is a gray color. Height: She is pretty short; around 5' 1". Weight:She weighs around 117 pounds, but her weight increases when in part or full gargoyle form. (Her full form is not yet mastered at this time.) Build: Although she doesn't have much for a body or curves, her arms and legs do show that she does have muscle. (She is often underestimated due to this fact, but some wonder if the gargoyle tattoo gives her some added strength.) When in gargoyle form, her muscle mass does increase. Race/Nationality:Krythin is a caucasian mix. Her heritage cannot be traced to a single ancestry, but it is known that she has Scottish, Irish, French, German, Italian, and Cherokee blood. (There are smaller concentrations of other scattered cultures, but they are too small to be of much influence.) Noteable Characteristics:Quite strangely, Krythin was born with a tattoo of a gargoyle on her right upper shoulder blade. The gargoyle itself is a gray color with glowing green eyes and green wing webbing. There are orange markings on the right shoulder. Uniform:Krythin wears long, black boots that end just above the knee with orange and green accents. She also has long, black netted gloves that have the fingers cut off, which extend to a little past her elbows. In some areas there are holes from past mutations. She wears a green tube top with black stitching. (I need to decide what it looks like yet.) Over that, she had a black, sleeveless coat with a high collar. It tapers to the back into split tails. To complete her uniform, Krythin wears a short, black skirt with a slit up one side. She wears very short orange shorts underneath just so no one can look up her skirt. Her left leg also sports a wrap that can be somewhat visible past her skirt line. (This is her paragon uniform. Her Omega uniform can be seen in the example pictures.) Standard Dress:Krythin tends to wear a color scheme involving black, green, and orange. She likes comfortable clothing, especially cargo pants. Krythin also adores gloves, so she wears short or sleeveless tops. Sometimes her clothes are torn from past mutations into part gargoyle form. The overall feel her clothes give is a punk/street style. Place of Birth:Strangely enough, she was born in rural Wisconsin. (Go figure...) Family:Krithyn was born into a farming family, the McHarmon family. She prefers not to use her last name. Superhuman Ability:Krythin was born with a tattoo of a gargoyle on her right upper shoulder blade. This tattoo fused a power inside her; the ability to mutate into a gargoyle...but only parts at a time. If she felt she needed wings, she'd sprout large, leathery gargoyle wings. If claws, Krythin would have claws, etc. She also seems to get an added strength that applies to her even in human form. (At a later time, she may eventually master her abilities and be able to turn full gargoyle. As a Paragon she could only use one part at a time, and as an Omega she can use two.) Abilities (not gained from mutation): Quite strangely, She also is fairly good at hand-to-hand, even though she doesn't know the fancy moves. Personal Weaknesses: Her height/size can be a little bit of a restriction. Also, her minimal mastery over her powers can sometimes be a handicap rather than a help. Personality: Although she can be a little shy, she can and will break out of her shell. Sometimes Krythin can get a little sarcastic, but she still means well...unless someone purposely hurts her. She will fight back, and is not afraid to give it her all, especially if there are friends or innocents on the line. She is very strong-willed and determined, and getting her to change her mind on matters she is set on is very hard to do. Although she has this stubborn nature, she is still a sweet and kind person when given the opportunity. Hobbies:She loves to draw, read, and write, although she prefers to keep thjis to herself and will hide it whenever someone passes by and wants to look. However, she will not hold back when it comes to her school work. Mutant/Human Relations View:Krythin doesn't exactly care, but she swings more to the view of humans and mutants trying to live in peace. (That is probably due to the fact that her entire family is human.) History:Born to the McHarmons in rural Wisconsin, she was brought up to farm. However, one day in the barn a bull got loose as it was being transported. It charged straight for Krythin. She acted more upon instinct rather than personal knowledge. Crayola 4 Evah Name: Ivy Trellis Codename: Synapse Academy X Student Team: New Mutant/Alphas (colors and uniform are the same, the team just switched names her second year) Age: 16/17 Birthday: 9/25/1992 Hair: brown Eyes: pale blue/gray, almost to the point of white Skin Tone: a healthy peach Height: 5'6'' Weight: 120 lbs Build: She seems a bit slight, but is mostly fit. Race/Nationality: Not all of it is known; she's a European mutt. Notable Characteristics: There is a scar under her left eye, and she sometimes wears a tattered old patch over her left. (She thinks it helps her concentrate more when using her power, although recently at the institute she hasn't needed to use it as frequently, but she still keeps it with her just in case.) Ivy also wears a guard over one shoulder because it had been dislocated more than once in street fights. It could probably use surgery, but she doesn't have the money. Abilities (not gained from mutation): She is very quick on her feet (dodgewise) and also a good runner. As an Alpha, she begins a little more work on using a switchblade knife. Personal Weaknesses: Ivy does not do well against multiple opponents because she has to come into contact with them first, and be able to control them, which is more of an individual basis. Also, sometimes she can be a hindrance to herself due to her personality. Also, the strings may be cut. It is more difficult for the person on the receiving end to cut them, but others outside her influence can cut them more easily. Personality: Ivy's personality is a bit darker than some. She blames her abandonment as a reason that humans are not trustworthy, and she doesn't take kindly to strangers, even if they are mutants. Ivy is also not the best as a team player, because she wants to take care of #1 first...However, deep in the core of her heart she really wants to be accepted and feel safe, but she sometimes lets her own self get in the way. She may only attach herself to a few people rather than embracing everyone. Hobbies: Ivy never really was one for having a hobby. She mainly roamed the streets at all hours of the day and night, sometimes doing odd jobs to get a little money. Mutant/Human Relations View: Ivy really doesn't like humans. However, she'd rather just avoid contact with them than wipe them off the face of the earth. History: As a young child, Ivy was given up to foster care. She never really knew much about her parents, her dad especially. Her mom gave her up because she did not have the means to care for her daughter. As a foster child, her caretaker didn't really do much, so she wandered the streets freely and came in at all hours of the day/night. Ivy also frequently skipped school. She is by no means stupid, she just doesn't take the time to apply herself. She makes her way to Academy X because the government puts her there. Her foster caretaker did not meet requirements to keep up with the welfare of the child, and no one else really wanted her after seeing her record. However, it landed him into a coma for a month and a half where he said he dreamed that the Earth Spirit came to him explaining that taking a life in such an unclean way and for no necessary reason is wrong and forbidden. The coma was his punishment as the month and a half was how long it took for the energy of the being to dispel from his body. Abilities: Meditation has been something he has trained in for many years of his life. He also enjoys photography. Personality: Aether is a rather not so ordinary type of guy. Throughout his life he’s struggled with friends because they simply cannot grasp his personal relationship with his power which is a relationship with the Earth in and of itself. He believes deeply in relationships between one another, as though it were a bond that should be built on and around to form an unbreakable connection. He is big on teams and enjoys helping out. He does have a nasty side that sneaks out once and a blue moon. As mentioned before he’s territorial with both friends, relationships, as well his bond with the surrounding world. Unfortunately for him he has no real attack to reciprocate with as far as his powers are concerned. Mutant/Human Relations View: He is saddened with the turmoil that the arrogant humans and their “set in stone” ways have caused such separation amongst the two groups. He feels that if they could see past their racism and such then many of the “evil” mutants might change as well. He hopes to one day be a part of a society that live amongst the two. History: Aether wasn’t born a mutant. He was born a normal child in Greece and lived a normal childhood…in the beginning. His father was a renowned geneticist as his mother a highly known biologist, both working for the Grecian government. The two of them worked their normal jobs by day and by night they did the governments bidding and studied mutants, whether voluntary or involuntary. The government wanted to know about the genes that mutants had and why they were why they were. They also used his mother to run biological tests on mutants routinely. Eventually the program was transferred to the United States and the family moved to Washington, D.C. where they continued their research. At this time Aether was only 4 years old. Eventually, the government asked for children to be comparisons to the research and his parents volunteered him for the opportunity. It was never any harmful tests, mostly just blood work and such. They eventually figured out that Aether had a mutated gene in his DNA but was suppressed by other bits of genes. Once the government found this out they want more and more tests done to him. His mutation came out on accident, almost causing his death. There was a lab accident. They had begun construction of a biosphere while attempting to splice in mutated genes into the ecosystem. Aether was there with his parents when the whole experiment went wrong and several mutants had lost their cool. The biosphere erupted into flames and explosions causing a giant collapse of the building itself. Several new fluids meant to “encourage” mutations within the plants had leaked out all over. At this point Aether had been pinned by fallen debris, his legs were crushed by a tree and he was eventually rendered unconscious. A mutant healer had sacrificed himself in an attempt to keep his vitals up, unfortunately it cost him his own life. Due to his valiant efforts, Aether was kept alive long enough to be rescued but his body was covered in all of the experimental fluids, blood and other things. What was assumed was that random mutant gene had exploded within his DNA once being exposed to the fluids of the biosphere. They also speculated that since his blood mixed with the healers blood, part of his mutant power had come from there. Overall, it’s still not fully understood and chances are, never will be. Post accident Aether has kept his powers a secret, learning to use them secretly on his own. He didn’t discover the power until a pet had been run over. In an act of despair he took the animal into the woods, where he felt most comfortable, and cried. Eventually he heard a voice telling him to lay the animal on the ground and to place his hands on it. He did and for the first time he watched the grass surround the animal and him, healing it. From then on, he would practice with injured animals and such that he would find in the woods. He eventually decided to learn how to meditate and began taking classes regarding that. This aided in his ability to communicate with the Soul of the Earth. As he grew older he decided that he wanted to be a doctor of some sort and began at an early age as an EMT-Basic. It was his first job during highschool and the moment he graduated he signed up for a paramedic class. Taking the accelerated program he finished within a year and began looking for schools to focus on becoming a doctor. He hadn’t initially heard about the Academy until the mutant / human relation exploded into such a negative thing. He remembered hearing about it randomly and felt that it was great idea to go. At his current age of 20 he has now been accepted and is on his way!

Oddly enough, more animals always seem to be added. Otherwise, even for a seemingly normal person, his looks alone can kill, as all of his features seemed to be all but perfect. Uniform: A pair of black track pants with a red stripe down the side, a black t-shirt, and a black and red short-sleeved leather vest over it. Also, when needed, he has a black and red blazer. Standard Dress: What he wears, tends to change with his mood, so there isn't anything that could be used as a standard. (See pictures) Place of Birth: San Diego, CA Family:Mother: Amaress Forester, mutant, currently away Father: Garrent Forester, mutant, also away Superhuman Ability: Matthew has the power to acquire the DNA of animals with a touch. By itself this doesn't seem useful, but once he's acquired the DNA, he can then take the form of the animals he's 'acquired', he cannot power to change anyone else. By turning into an acquired animal, his Strength, Speed, Durability and Agility change to match his new form. Also, by taking an animal form, he gains any attacks such an animal may have. Changing form takes very little time, and he can only change between a completely human form, to a complete animal form. Once in an animal form, one of the main problems is dealing with the natural instincts of the animal, but this can be done by either overcoming the animal mind, or working in unison with it. Another problem about his forms, is that he only has a limited time in them, once in them for a few hours, he then begins changing back into his human without further delay, and must change back into an animal form if he wishes to. As a natural side of effect of acquiring DNA, his body has begun producing a sort of pheromone that makes animals naturally more friendly toward him. He often uses his natural good looks to get what he wants, and knows how to use it to its fullest. Matthew is laid back, kind, and a bit vain, although most get used to it. He's also territorial, and most assume it's due to the his power, although no one really knows. Hobbies: Matthew enjoys computers, but also enjoys the outdoors and being around animals. One of his other hobbies is girls, not any particular thing about them, but girls in general, which for him, is no problem finding. Mutant/Human Relations View: Matthew could care less what humans and mutants think about each other, most because he fits in well with both groups. As for harmony, sure, it would be nice, but whether or not it's really feasible, he doesn't know, and so long and no one messes with him, doesn't really care. Mutant domination would simply be terrible, for far to many mutants have odd physical traits, and that would mess up his time with females...and that he would never accept. History:Matthew has spent most of his life like a normal, average kid. The only difference obviously being his ability to acquire animal DNA.
Matthew's parents spent lots of time with him, and knowing that he already contained the gene, often took him to the Zoo. It was always one of his favorite things to do, mostly because he felt at home.
Years pasted, and eventually he came to understand the beginnings of his powers, and quickly began to collect the DNA of the local pets. This sufficed for a while, as he was happy simply learning to blend in with his surroundings, and using his new forms to eavesdrop. Needless to say, these forms didn't satisfy his thirst for long, and Matthew, brave as he was, set out for bigger game.
Until now, everything had been simple, and Matthew knew so very little of his powers still, that a mistake was bound to happen. You see, domestic animals, while they still have a mind of there own, don't share the same fears and emotions as those in the wild, and this, was something he was soon to learn.
It was dry in the forest today, as it was the middle of winter, and moisture was all but gone. The snow crunched with each step, and ever intake of breath stung slightly. What should I look for first? Matthew questioned himself mentally. Something bigger, stronger, and wilder. he thought to himself, drawing mental pictures for himself of all the creatures in the forest.
Taking the form of a small bird, pushing aside the urge for nesting, he took to the wing, and set off on his search for a new animal. It wasn't long before he found just what he was looking for, a wolf. This seemed like a good animal, stronger, agile, quick, and defiantly wild, as currently, it was chewing on the marrow of an old bone, a bit of blood still staining the off white. Slowly, Matthew began the circle round the area a few times, looking for the safest place to land, and came upon a spot a few feet behind the wolf, where a patch of grass grew, although now beginning to brown. Landing behind the animal, it was evident it didn't care about the presence of something so very nonthreatening, and after a quick glance over its shoulder, returned to its prize.
Quickly, Matthew returned to his human form, a soft crunch from underneath him as his new weight compressed the snow. As quietly as the sound had been, it was enough, as again, the wolf looked over its shoulder, only this time, it didn't return to its bone.
Turning to Matthew, the wolf bared its teeth, it's ear shot back, and up came the hair on its back. It started with a low growl, but that didn't really bother Matthew, as he was used to growling, and thankfully, with his recently acquired DNA, he was safer than he could have known. The wolf began to circle this new prey momentarily, and searching for an opening. After a full circle though, it suddenly stopped, and for what could only be a confused look for an animal, its growling quieted, and it very slowly began to approach Matthew. It took Matthew by surprise at first, because he kind of expected a fight, and yet, it now seemed less threatening than before. Matthew stood perfectly still now, confused with this way of acting, the wolf was now within inches of him, sniffing him while continuing to circle him, and now no longer growling. It continued for about a minute, before stopping in front of Matthew, and sat, looking up at him, almost as though it expected something.
Now more relaxed than before, Matthew could help but begin reaching for the wolf, and with no obvious responce from the wolf, scratched it behind the ear. As he did, he closed his eyes, waiting for the calm to wash over him that usually did with a new acquire. It was different this time though, it wasn't the same calm as always, it was...almost painful, and it prickled at his entire body as though he were surrounded by pins, then everything went black.
When Matthew awoke, he was once again in his bed, his parents sitting by his side. "We're sorry we couldn't tell you about this, but it's something you have to learn yourself." Amaress said, the same warming smiling that Matthew had gotten on her face. Taking his son by the shoulder and giving him a quick shake, Garrent let out a deep laugh. "You see my boy, as with all of us, when you acquire your first wild DNA, it adheres to you, it gives you the strengths and traits of that animal, and let me tell you, it never feels to good, then again, it is rewriting part of your DNA." his father said with a sigh. "Come on now Garrent, let's let him get some rest, and we should be getting some as well, we have to leave soon after all." Amaress said touching her husbands arm softly. "Don't worry Matty," she says using her usual nickname for him, "We have things all set up for you to go to a school with some friends of ours, they'll help you perfect your ability more, and we'll be back before you know it." she said running a hand through his hair before kissing him on the forehead, and then taking Garrent's hand, the two of them left the room, as Matthew felt back into a deep sleep.Character Picture:Matthewor Matthew again

Carlos Estrada Name: Carlos Maguel Estrada Codename: Motega (Meaning New Arrow in Kiowa) Academy X Student Team: OmegaAge: 20 Birthday: March 7th Hair: Keeps it black now. Eyes: Completely black. Skin Tone: was tanned, mutation paled it. Height: 6'2" Weight: 194 lbs. Build: Athletic and agile build with strength behind it. Race/Nationality: Latin/Native American (Kiowa) Notable Characteristics: A red ink tattoo on right arm and back. and his eerie black eyes which he hides behind red shades. An eerie and icy aura surrounding him at all times. His blood is thicker than normal and black. He has many more Tattoos, and numerous scars. Uniform: Loose yet well protective in the modern X-men design. It looks like his usual wear, but heavier and more protective, as well as form fitting. The red piping are down his legs and on the jacket. He wears a heavy belt and harness that houses numerous tools of his trade. Standard Dress: Carlos dresses in clothes that allow freedom of movement. His jacket which he bought upon landing in New York quickly became his Favorite. His pants are actually three years old and were perfect for his Capoeira, and his top was a leather vest made for him by the Ravens of Shadow upon his completion of training. A Modern redux of tradition the vest is protective yet flexible and has the tribal marking on the back. Character Picture:Place of Birth: Barranquilla Columbia Superhuman Ability: Feeding off of shadows and ambient darkness, Carlos can tap into a sub-space dimension of Nightmares (So he calls it), pulling from it a cold black fire that he can use to generate a multitude of effects. Mainly he can assume the guise of a wraith or cloaked figure, gaining durability, as the dark matter he channels protects him. Explanation and Uses: Like a ghost, he can phase through people and solid matter, imparting upon a person a freezing chill and a pure sense of dread, in some cases knocking the person out from shock. He can use his cloak as a portal to cross an underlying dimension home to the nightmares and guilt of the collective world. Carlos is not immune to the Nightmare Realm- But he can control it, while taking damage to himself. He can use the nightmare realm to conceal himself in plain sight, and reflect light. But his shadow remains, a dead giveaway of where he is. When standing near to him like that, one can feel an insane sense of paranoia and cold. He can seemingly collapse in on himself and pass through the dimension rapidly to appear somewhere else, effectively teleporting. The greater the distance the the more strain to his own mind the dimension stresses. Carlos can glide short distances granted he has a large enough cloak to do so and a high vantage point. His eyes are now naturally an inky blackness with no white. When he channels the energy, smoke almost seems to come from them... It allows him to 'see' with altered sight-- He can track people-- By tracking their fears. The more they are afraid, the easier he can find them. By swallowing someone into his cloak he can drag them through the Nightmare dimension, although he only does so if necessary. There is a backlash of negative energy that causes severe guilt- Or induces a psyche breaking fear that is enough to drive the strongest crazy. Even when Carlos himself walks though it he wakes to a nightmare of terrified penance. The only way to pass through the realm unharmed is with some sort of fire or light-- At the very least, a torch. This was discovered by another mutant who absorbs, amplifies, and uses solar energy to generate light and heat could pass with Carlos unharmed. He cannot 'see' someone if they are near a large heat source-- Or a very well lit room. The realm that Carlos channels allows him to absorb natural fire and extreme heat. The realm craves light, anything of warmth. Although, at the same time, it seems to fear it. Standing too close to the boy can make your body temperature drop significantly in a few moments. Sources that are of mystical or psionic make, (I.E Hellfire, Phoenix fire) are things that the realm has no use for-- And thus Carlos cannot absorb. They would hurt him like any other person. The darker it is-- The stronger the realm is. By proxy, the stronger Carlos is. On a clouded night with no moon he can, with difficulty, generate a cloak of dark matter to engulf at the very least three NY blocks. in daylight this might be restricted to just a smoky black vapor rising off of him. Carlos can channel and exude, or propel a mildly concussive blast of the dark matter that one can almost feel on their skin. It can induce fear and a deathly ice like chill as it steals the warmth from the body. At night he can do this easily while cloaked in the dark matter. In the day time, it is far more difficult. At the strongest these blast have the strength of a wrecking ball, in daylight he'd be lucky to knock a person back. *His eyesight differs upon his well usually he sees as if there is light even in the darkest of places. In normal light or daylight he sees with only minor difficulty and full color blindness seing everything black or white. If he pushes it he can see what has now become known to be peoples souls, or their inner light something his powers can effect directly and even steal, killing a person. This is coupled with an aura like perception that Carlos has learned to read, tipping him off to others state of being health wise, and emotionally. He can't read with a hundred percent accuracy, though he is still learning. This is coupled with his sixth sense, his ability to sense fear and others. And it Functions as a radar within a small area of a few meters. *He has started and been met with little success in creating small constructs out of the black ectoplasm that he taps from his dimension. For intents and purpose his training has been reassigned to Ms. Elizabeth Braddock. His power in this function works similar to a psy-knife. He can create small knives and shields with solid consistency anything larger like the cloak is strictly semi solid or not at all. His knives can physically cut and also impart the psychic anomaly of his powers. * Non-Mutant Abilities: Carlos has been a fighter nearly all his life. By tradition of a barely existant people who have only evolved and adapted, he was raised. He was taken into a more dark and quiet group that specialized in stealthy executions. To that end Carlos is gifted even before his mutation at moving without being noticed. His training focused on close in fighting, using a mix martial art, which extended into knife combat. He was an exceptional Archer and was only getting better eventually becoming the best. Poisons and medicine are a tradition and method for fighting that he was also taught. Though uncommon, he can and has treated weapons with something toxic. To this end he's built a few immunities which hasn't helped with the ever increasing innovation in science and ever new toxins that he may be unnocostumed to. Getting away from a kill is just as important as getting in and executing. To a great degree he was taught parkour, the art of continous movement, and momentum building. Through rooftops and especially the jungle, he can move a significant distance at a full sprint without losing speed as he vaults, slides, and bounds through obstacles. Indoors he could bound off walls and even the ceiling if he needs to. His training at the academy has broadened his ability and he was recently introduced to the sword. He has a general distaste for guns, but his past training included their use and disarms. From handguns to assault rifles, even heavier military grade boom sticks, he's fired them all atleast once. His conditioning has given him resistances to most toxins and poisons, and training in general has given him a vast knowledge of chemistry. He also knows healing and survival methods, as well as minor explosives though examples are limited to noise makers and smoke bombs. He has atleast once displayed a form of hypnotism over an animal albeit a large one though this might be tied to his power. * Other: Because his body is inhabited by a mystical diabolical being, Carlos has been rigorously training and conditioning his mind to keep the Demon in check, even control it. His attempts and progress in the matter is relatively low to non existent though one or two occasions have risen where Carlos has summoned a bluish flame of hellfire in self defense. This Demonic presence might have altered some of Carlos' power as it does when it takes hold. Though they are uncommon, rare, even, an episode in which this presence takes control of Carlos holds extreme and frightening changes as well as unknown power. In appearance Carlos' completely solid black eyes have formed gold rings signaling the transition between himself and the demon. His regular powers become more potent easily forming solid ectoplasm into a trench coat, as well as forming a field of negative energy that saps all warmth from an area and easily causes terror. His voice becomes dual toned as if two people were speaking. He is alot more durable with a higher undetermined threshold for pain, and mentally he loses all inhibition, ridding him of mercy and other emotions. He is likely unable to discern friend or foe. He is physically capable of great strength punching into concrete and possibly lifting a small car. He gains a proficiency and tendency to set things aflame with a blue hellish fire, that burns the soul and anything regular fire would. All these powers and what could be are held in check by psionic barriers and only under extreme supervision, Is Carlos allowed to explore these powers. He has a strong sense of achievement, and will apply himself to the fullest even though he may feign otherwise. * Personal Weaknesses: There is still a demon living in him (Emhdal), though locked away deep in the recesses of his mind. And no matter how much he cares for those around them, and believes that the future Evie told him about will never come to pass—He has to wonder where the monster ends and he begins. He has yet to discern how much of him is the monster and how much is the man—He does not know who is stronger. The demon makes him stronger, but it is inherently evil—And it thirsts for nothing but power and chaos. He has an ongoing inferiority complex. * Personality: Carlos personality has radically changed in the past year. Though still warm and inviting towards others, he is prone to aloof moments, and coldness when not in the mood. He's much more tame then prior but still free loving and lazy when permitted. When personal issues come up especially with his inner demon he tends to isolate himself. His most stable moments are around Narcissa. Composed by tradition and upbringing, Carlos understands what it is to have a family that loves him and would stay with him as a whole. To this extent when he fell in love, he fell in love hard, and is openly affectionate. He has become a devoted boyfriend showing his extreme loyalty and in a small part, his sense of family and responsibility. He's become highly possessive and less flirtatious, though playful banter is still common. Hobbies: First and foremost Carlos is a dedicated Archer. He has studied Capoeira, and can only apply it to his fighting style. He likes to compete in his free time. He surfs on the rare occasions he goes to the beach. He likes playing practical jokes that scare people going so far as to use his powers to impersonate death himself, or to scare an old superstitious man. Stealing at random is his cup at tea at night, though he has exhausted all challenges and therefore engages in less often. In the day more often then not you'll find him in a tree lazily napping the day away. Lilian Luc Estrada/Perez - took to taking care of her son until he was old enough to fend for himself. Recently remarried. Montigue Jose Perez - Carlos' martial arts intructor now step father. He's a big part of Carlos' upbringing and training. Carlos descends from a native American tribe that migrated in the late 1600s to South America. The Estrada family is one of the few families that splintered from the tribe to settle and make life in the new more modern world. The Kiowa being a nomadic warrior tribe during its more ancient years, was still teaching the old ways, even in the modern era. They were always silent, nothing more than a Shadow. They were trained after gifted individuals in the past, that had long since passed on. The Shamans' said it was magic-- Science claimed mutation. To an extent these trainings made Carlo Estrada perfect for a small time private investigator. With so much rampant crime in Barranquilla, none of which needed such investigation, and down on his luck, Carlo searched for a new job. What he found was Lilian, and true love. The fiery Latina woman, happened to be from another family of the Kiowa tribe, and she was raised by the Shaman and was an educated Herbalist and chemist. It was after a few weeks of dating that Carlo was able to get a job and someone to spend his off time with. She worked for the Barvaria Brewery, and his new job was Loss Prevention and internal investigation. The companies stone faced, but hard arsed female CEO saw not only a little brew going missing but some cash as well. On top of that, he began to moonlight as a body Guard. Carlo became close friends with his employer, and after months of hard work, and much grander wedding then he could have planned for himself and Lilian, brought fourth the energetic and charismatic Carlos, only five months prior his employer's own bouncing joy. History: Carlos, born on March 7th, was born healthy and energetic, but on a night of misgivings. He was always crying and only comforted in the dark. His grandfather, Shaman of the Kiowa, told his parents that though he was a pure and innocent child, he was born under the eyes of a shadow god. He had a likeness to those that had long since passed on. A long magic ritual of smoke and dancing, that hadn't been seen in years-- And Carlos was considered healed. His Father, constantly working, and his mother taking lessons from the CEO to help maintain the Brewery when she was gone, left Carlos in the care of the Stone family nanny along with bright beautiful baby Isabella Stone. It was growing up for nine years like this that Carlos could recount as the happiest of years, constantly being the playmate of the nearly royal Stone family daughter. Though she had an open heart, and rarely asked for anything. The next couple of years were rough. Ripped away to spend time with his grandparent's the moment his powers started showing themselves, it was the season of tempering and Carlos was of age. For The Kiowa there was a hardened tradition of making warriors, by taking a time of trial and training. It was in the span of the next few years that would rigorously challenge and reshape the young Carlos. Focusing on his best abilities Carlos was the first of his direct Family to be recognized as What was roughly translated to be called Raven of Shadows, a classification of warrior that meant he walked a path of darkness, taking his prey from high places, quietly. Not disturbing the peace around those unaware. He was a silent, solitary protector. Having trained non stop and working as hard as he could to make his father proud he returned home at the age of fourteen. Men were made young. Carlos received, with slight enthusiasm, a customized bow from his family, and a kiss on the cheek from his sister-like friend Isabella. He was allowed to take up guitar as well as dance lessons. This would be the last bits of Happiness Carlos could remember. Back to training, His so called dance lessons, where infact martial arts. Catering to his slim, agile, and yet deceptively powerful build, a mixed schedule was made, using dance, Capoeira as the foundation. Constantly in motion, he learned to enjoy his training. Learning Guitar and syncopation as a side to help in the dance like activity when he wasn't working hard... Carlos had a semblance of normality at last. His 15th birthday fast approached, and missing his mother he was brought back by his father to celebrate. Not the best of times with violence every where. Carlos by now was formidable as a young teenager, capable of taking down grown men He helped his father at the brewery catching thieves. With life as normal as it could be for him the next couple of months, his father let him tag along in his work, if only to keep an eye on him. It was at one of these jobs where he met, and though he didn't know it at the time, would later fall in love with a client's daughter. Narcissa Lucania was different, just like him. He saved her from incinerating her family-- His power craved her own, strangely enough. She could enter his darkness and be unharmed. With things slightly better, they didn't stay that way in the Sandy City. Out in the Market with his parents for some time to themselves, it was only five weeks after Isabella's birthday. He could remember it clearly. He had been looking at a jade necklace, and it's twin in a clear quartz- Thinking what great presents they would be for his two favorite women... That was when -It- happened. Gunshots were fired. It was thunderous and deafening- Painful beyond all measure. The loudest sound-- scream that of an unknown horror. It sounded like a hundred buzz saws, a thousand voices right in his ear-- But felt worse. His parents on the ground as well as everyone on the street. No one had a clue what was truly happening all they knew was the terrible noise and the pain it caused. All Carlos wanted to do was to get away, him and his parents. Carlos thought he was going to die, and icy chill ran up his spine and his vision blurred. Darkness surrounded him and he felt nothing, the whole world slipped away. He was swallowed and contained. Carlos had disappeared from existence, scared out of his mind and seeing his nightmares in this darkness. For two weeks his parents searched for him. Carlos was willful, more than any mental demon could guess, and he stood against the nightmares he faced for the first time. He wanted out, and he wanted it now. To his surprise the darkness listened and opened to him. Carlos was found a day after two weeks in the brewery right as it opened. The employees knowing him well and knowing that he was missing went to fetch his parents. It was Esperanza Stone that was the first to arrive to take charge of him until his parents returned. She, knowing full well the cause of his disappearance and by now what was happening to the young teen, felt a great deal of pity and guilt. Her family had a history of the genetic anomaly. Moreover, something struck her that she shouldn't have been feeling. Fear, it was then she noticed the black smoke of something unknown surrounding Carlos. Lighting some candles the effect faded as did the smoke but she made her guesses. As the Estrada family arrived to thank and talk with the Stone family Mother. Carlos' Mother cried and his father only comforted her as he thought out what to do. Life had seemingly continued. The only friends he had were Isabella and Narcissa from afar. Though it was no secret that the two didn't get along. Carlos secretly practiced with his powers discovering they weren't too bad. Isabella quickly learned to carry a lighter and not to be afraid of him. It was with him that she learned control of her own powers. He tried to show her that just sheer force of will could do anything. Behind the CEO's back, Carlos' taught Isabella how to refine it slightly, but the young Isabella more timid then he, and still grieving for the loss of her father, cut those lessons short. At this time, it was found out that the Baveria Brewery had Mutants among them. A small armed group against mutants rolled up one night. In the midst of the anti mutant hype, they had a planned attack and raid on the Brewery. It was here that Carlo Estrada, Carlos' Father Lost his life. This was when Carlos found his powers to be more then they appeared. The man who killed his father couldn't hit him, couldn't stop him not even by starting a fire as Carlos shrouded by his dark smoke followed him. Carlos was on a warpath.. He knew not what drove or guided him, he simply followed a feeling and his eyes became completely black. He could suddenly see very well in the moonless sky as tracked and chased the man stalking him like wolf. When Carlos caught up to him, he swallowed the man and followed him dragging him to the dark place. The man couldn't take it like Carlos could. He broke and fractured, as every pain and guilt he had about his misdoings were thrown back at him in a nightmare that Carlos could fuzzily see in the darkness. Carlos sensed the fear and darkness in the man, and with a frightened and fearful look of shock realized that he was feeding on the mans fear. He let the man go, left him there in the alley broken and curled in the fatal position, repeating over and over that he was sorry. It was the last time for a long time Carlos would ever use his powers like that again, not until it's secrets were fully known to him. Carlos grieved and was doing far better then he could remember. His family had moved on and worked as it always did, mostly trying to return back to a semblance of normality. Normal had become three mutants helping each other adapt. Even though Isabella had been sent away to a school in America, they kept in touch. Narcissa also had powers. For months at a time she stayed in the city with her father. and within weeks Carlos, who by now radically changed into a nocturnal creature due to his powers. started dating his sun goddess, Narcissa. Their infatuation with one another was almost unhealthy... To great irony -If opposites attract then Carlos and Narcissa were the yin to the others yang. Her powers revolved around light and heat and the sun. She represented his every opposite- if Carlos was dark she was light. It was with this that they found she was unaffected by his darkness and could travel safely through the dark dimension even sparing Carlos himself the torment. This was a huge perk for Narcissa, someone she could be around. Her powers were atomic, particularly on the brightest of days. though she came to Columbia to learn control in secret... Her knack for it was low and her learning not so smoothly as Carlos or Isabella. Carlos however could contain and help Narcissa and was called upon to do so once it was discovered that Narcisaa could be nuclear, and that Carlos could be around her without combustion. Though progress had been made it wasn't enough and Narcissa had to leave, to go to back to places where the sun could not reach her as much. Carlos could move across great distances if he wanted to-- But it drained him. If he tried to get to Narcissa, or Bella-- His mind would surely break. Carlos felt alone but continued on as much as he could to at least to finish things. It was then his Mother Along with Esperenza Stone, and Narcissa's mother over the phone that Carlos Learned of the Xavier Institute for the gifted. It was this very meeting of their mother's that he was privy to, that he learned he would go to be with Isabella and then Narcissa once she was ready for it. Carlos was happy, as happy as could be for the first time in what felt like a long time. Though he would move Far away from his mother he could be with the only two people that made him feel happy. That was all the incentive he needed to pack his belongings. He was headed to America. Thank God Isabella taught him English. *Having arrived at Academy X Carlos had a somewhat rocky start being little more then untamed and wild. He was unpredictacble and awkward, but manage to find a few friends and then some. He had fun, even though shocking truths of his considered family and of himself have completely shaken his world. Many misadventures and an oversize pet later it was prom night and he was content for the night that nothing went horribly wrong. A year and a war later in Columbia He returns to the academy. Somewhat darker but determined. Misc Facts-Carlos is Multi-lingual, knowing Spanish, Portuguese, the Kiowa dialect, and with the help of Isabella English. -Though not prone to substance abuse, he smokes before a mission, getting a slight high. -Carlos is partially deaf in his left ear mainly due to someone who shall remain nameless. *cough*Bella*cough* -He considers himself the second strongest Omega to Narcissa during the day, and the first at night.

They finally settled in New York, taking jobs and immigrating fully into the country.
