Looked in the mirror, today (I hate mirrors, they're so cruel and unforgiving...). Noticed I'm starting to look a little less chubby. At last, I'm getting a little bit of visual results.
Had an hour of karate today, again. I have good tecnique, but unfortunately that means the teacher picks me a bit to help with demonstrations (which usually ends up with me on the floor). whee sweatdrop

Fuzzykit-Congrats. That's always a good sign.
Several random people have told me that I look slimmer now. So apparently I am doing something right.

Grippy: xd I'm feeling a bit achy after Karete yesterday, too (sit-ups and cat-stretch push-ups can be excruciating). sweatdrop Been doing a bit of stretching so I don't seize up. ^^;
Sense: Thankies! It's a great feeling when other people notice, ne?
I don't really have a 'yay' today. Though the bio yoghurt's making me feel perkier. ^-^

Go Aeren!
And Yay Sensedog! rawr <3
Anyway, my cool thing that happened today was that I kinda got a hang of my stairstepper more to the point where I knew how to intuitively keep my heartrate in check. I broke a heavier sweat than usual, and I noticed I burned more calories for the same amount of time than yesterday. I felt like I could go on for more time, so I am upping my time from 20 minutes to 30 minutes on the stepper next week. You know what good thing to ignore is though? Those goofy a** readings on the stair stepper that tell you all these useless statistics about your steps. All I need to know at this point is my calories I'm burning at the current weight I'm at, and my current heartrate. Really, the only thing that matters is where your heartrate is when doing cardiovascular work.

exactly. and a lot of times those "charts" as to being in a fat burning zone rather than a heart health zone are kind of bull, you still burn fat while working your heart....
im also kind of skeptical at times of the heart rates on those machines, so i like to take my own pulse. lol. i guess thats just a nursing major habit.

I am finding that I have more energy than before I started dieting about a month ago. I feel better overall. This is good.

Bio yoghurt? Has live culture of bacteria that's supposedly good for the digestive system. As opposed to your every day fruited yoghurt.

Grippy can climb the stairs at school with more ease. That, my friends, is an awesome feeling.
I just wanted to talk about an observation about my school: I go to school everyday, and there's like a million vending machines everywhere. And like, of the healthier choices I've seen in those vending machines was maybe the pineapples in a cup in juice, and maybe the trail mix of nuts, raisons, and chocolate m & m's (though still calorically rich). And there's also a chick fil a at the school. I notice people buy from there all the time. It's the only place that makes hot sandwiches. bleh.. this is why, if i can help it, i bring something from home. But when you notice just how saturated your environment is with these unhealthy foods that wern't meant to be eaten regularly... you really wonder. People around me just eat this stuff up like it's no big deal. And vending machines in some parts of campus are empty by Wednesday.

Same with my school. Even though sometimes the products are a leetle bit overpriced. sweatdrop But I just don't eat lunch anyways, and I'm not tempted. ^^; *Envys people who can eat as much of this junk as they like and not exercise regularly and still somehow stay kind of healthy and slim* >_<

Aeren i biked and did elliptical today. thats definitely a yay. coolies! I love the elliptical! I wish I had that machine in my gym, but the best we got is the stairstepper. so I use it. And guess what- I stairstepped an equivalent of 55 minutes today, as well as did the tredmill and did ab exercises which amounted to 10 mire minutes. I was very tired though afterwards, so I picked up a "powerade" energy drink. I don't purchase sports drinks often. I stayed longer in the gym because my ride (my mom) was running some errands and wouldn't be able to pick me up for a while. also, I chose healthier choices for food today. That isn't a milestone, I'd say, but I just loved how I had no desire for the fried foods and all.

I find jogging to be much easier than before now.
Also, I have become addicted to cheerios without sugar. Good stuff.
