Norman chuckled quietly at Noé's gratitude, inclining his head in acknowledgement. "It was my pleasure," he insisted politely, giving a smile in parting. "I look forward to speaking with you again. Please enjoy your day." He watched the man move along, a curious expression on his face of amusement and intruige. Brilliant minds had converged here, and it was a shame he couldn't give them all a job on the spot.

His dark blue eyes turned to another demonic being, his smile ticking up a notch knowingly. "Mr. Bandersnatch," he greeted the man with an extended hand, not even batting an eye at the name, "how nice to formally meet you!" He turned his attention to his student then, his smile warmer at the sight of the pale-haired youth. "Ka'hmesh, it's nice to see you made it. Thank you for coming and speaking with Mr. Bandersnatch." It was so nice to see so many of his pupils coming for a good purpose!

Such was not the case with a certain staff member, however. She walked in with the sway of a large cat, dressed unusually but presentable for the event: black slacks over polished boots, a collared black blouse not fully buttoned over a white tee. Long black hair was left down, pulled into a loose ponytail that let her bangs frame her angular face, all the darkness of her attire setting off her bright and vivid green eyes. Her chest bore the badge of ShinKami, asserting her place amongst the Staff, and more pointedly the position of Offensive Secretary.

Alex had taken Greg's spot by Norman's insistance, but after much growling and a few spats that landed one or more delicate thing in a heap of fragments, the position had opened. Prowling through the throngs of people without so much as a smile, she was making sure that any who dared to fill those shoes would be worthy.

Not that she thought they could, not for a split second, but she knew very well she was biased. The students may have been giving the prospective teachers a hard time, but she felt more like a snake; if the way she stalked about the room wasn't enough of an indication to the rattle, surely the venom would get the point across.

Ka tilted head just a bit as the other started to go on about the highlights of magic. In a way, he agreed... it was better to be doing something. He'd always thought like that, and only now was he realizing that it was more likely that the mages who came out of this school would be those on the front lines. Not the scientists.

"I don't mind things being difficult," he replied after a moment, with another little smile for the other.

Then he blinked slightly at the suggestion to go and talk to the Headmaster, and nodded. "Sure, I don't mind," he replied - even as Quentin steered him toward Norman.

He lowered his head just a bit in a respectful sort of motion to the Headmaster. "It's not a big deal. I know that it's important to meet the potential professors here. All for the good of the school, right?"

Sasha didn't see it coming either. He was pushed back and almost toppled over. "Ehh--" He was going to apologize as well, but the man kept going which was fine with him, he didn't really want to talk. But life wasn't so kind as he whipped back around and walked toward him like a starving man stalking an injured animal.

His eyes bugged pathetically and if he wasn't so nervous, he probably would have bolted. Some challenging student. "U-Uhmmm ehh--s-sure that's fine..." What was he supposed to tell him? "My name's Alexander..." There was a start. "I'm uhmm going into magic..." And that was about all he could think of. He really didn't know what he wanted to get out of this school, he just followed his brother here like a dog.

Ah so this one was a bit skittish, well that was good. At the very least he could badger the poor kid a bit, have some fun. Seidus smiled (or was it sneer) he couldn't tell but either way he found one flaw in this student. It seemed Alexander here was... lost? Just his luck Alexander would be a magic student, not that it mattered. "Why magic? Oh, call me Seidus. Please, no jokes, I know what my name sounds like." As if it wasn't bad enough to be named "sadist". Maybe it wasn't far from the truth.

Zach blinked slightly and glanced over as another boy came up to the table and then muttered something under his breath. And though the brunette wondered, the other obviously wasn't talking to him, so he turned his attention back to picking at the food.

Until Nash actually did speak to him, that is. Then Zach turned and smiled slightly at the other. "Not yet. I just got here," he answered in a friendly sort of fashion. "What about you?" A small pause... "Oh. Uhm, sorry, I'm Zach," he offered a bit sheepishly, juggling plate to hold out a hand toward the other.

"Same here." Nash mused a moment to himself then turned with a smile and a firm handshake. "Seibehn, just call me Nash though." He smiled, turning his indigo gaze over the crowd. "I don't really want to be here but it's probably for the best." He gave a light shrug watching most of the students and teachers mingling. "You looking for any particular type of teacher?" He asked turning to acknowledge Zach with a curious arch of his brow.

Huh... well, he'd seemed a bit shy at first, but it was good that the other was warming up some. Zach blinked though. "How d'you get Nash from Seibehn?" he blurted out - before really thinking about how such a question might be considered rude.

Oops. "Erm... not really," he quickly went on to answer Nash's question. "Just kind of ... scouting them all out. What about you?"

The little tension that itched between his shoulder blades was relieved with a quiet sigh. "I truly appreciate you giving me this chance, sir..."

He gave Kah'mesh a quick pat on the back and smiled. "He has been wonderful, answering all my insufferable questions. Everyone has been very so delightful, it has been a good day..." So far. He hoped certain hellians didn't get the opportunity to terrorize him. He would like to remain dignified in these people's eyes and not locked in a battle of expletives which he would probably lose.

"Well if neither of you mine, I am going to get something to eat. I ehm did not have chance this morning... Headmaster, would you like anything?" He looked down at Kah'mesh. "Anything?" Both replied with a no, and he nodded complacently. "Well it was very nice to meet you, Headmaster. And I hope to see you around, Kah'mesh... If you see any other potential magic students, bring them my way I would love to chat with them..."

With that, he turned with a quick squeak of his new black leather dress shoes and took a spot at the banquet table. Did they really eat this every day? Hell, frozen pizza would be a feast compared to what he'd been eating the last few years. Trying not to look like a starving man, he took but a few finger sandwiches, pasta and a drink. Quentin contented himself with watching the room until his feral eyes caught something a bit different.

And a bit more curvaceous than the average male student around here. He thought women were extinct on this island, but what a pleasant surprise. She looked pissed though. Or on her period. Or she could be a feminazi. Hmmmm. Well only one way to find out. Grabbing another water, Mr. Bandersnatch strode toward her with a neutral smile. "Hello... it is refreshing to see such a lovely face. Thirsty, Miss...?" He let his words trail off as he raised the drink in front of her.

"Uhhh...." His name? It didn't sound funny to him. Maybe it was an American thing or something, he wasn't sure. Those darn English and their slang. "Well... uhmm...." His eyes trailed off behind the potential professor, hoping to find someone he knew and muster a bit of courage but it was as if everyone had deserted him in his hour of need. "I was gonna go into science, but i didn't want to away from my brother so I followed him in magic. And.... since he left I've been... sorta filling in for him.... I guess...."

"I suppose, but time seems to pass quickly here. But there's also enough time to make it feel like you're getting eough done in a day. "Weiyuan also glanced around, noticing the arrival of more students and prospective professors. The room was getting crowded fast enough and he wanted to see to other prospective teachers as well. He turned back to the woman, smiling a bit. "Defensive. I plan to become a doctor."

"Ah! So we would see each other at times." She smiled, looking around again at the others. There was a lady with quite a figurative storm brewing over her head, which didn't bode well if Siona spoke to her. Obviously it would be better to continue speaking to the students... She turned back to Weiyuan. "I'm happy to see that I'd at least know someone," said the Indian woman. "Too often I've noticed people going straight for glorious jobs instead of the necessary ones." Well, she hadn't gone for the important issue- she'd done it because it seemed interesting, and because she'd been curious. Those were good reasons, though- at least in her opinion.

"Indeed. They are definately some of the most respectable kinds of people." Though he himself had quite a bit to go if he wanted to be respectable. Weiyuan's adoptive father popped into his head and he smiled a bit.

It would take awhile for him to get to that position, that was sure. A man who died doing an honorable job like that...that was definately......

...definately...not where his current path was going.

A thought dawned on him and he felt the urge to slap himself. "Uh, please excuse me Miss Hale, I just remembered something that needs attending to." The half-Chinese bowed deeply to the woman before hurrying out of the room. He was behind!

Nash blinked a moment until he realized what the other had asked. "Oh... my first name is Seibehn. I don't like it, so just call me by my last name, Nash." He giggled softly not minding at all about the inquiry. Shifting gears he looked around then back at Zach with a shrug. "Same thing..." He commented absently, perhaps more distracted. "I was looking for someone but they're not here..."

Seidus eyes also followed the students but he saw no one of importance. With a light shrug he figured badgering the kid wasn't going to make a good impression, though he wasn't about such things. "Look kid I won't bite or anything." He let out suddenly on a sigh. Crossing his arms over his chest his predatory appearance shifted to a more relaxed one. "You know... maybe you should switch up or something." A shrug, a glance around the room then his ruby gaze returned. "Just a thought but if your bro ain't here then what's keeping you interested in magic?"

Sharp taupe eyes had landed on a blonde boy. For a moment he was talking with one of the boot lickers. The kid had spirit in him. A lot of spirit. Vigharthur moved away from the wall, treaded across the floor positioning himself into a closer proximity. The kid sounded annoyed. He glanced at the man that he was previously talking too. He'd get annoyed with a man like that too. He moved away, letting the boy come closer to him before approaching the student. "Soldier-in-training, eh? You seem quite small for a soldier. Are you sure?"

Scyeth looked over as a voice addressed him. Man, that was pretty fast. He hadn't expected to really be approached by a prospective teacher, never mind quite so quickly. The once-blond halted and ran a hand through his hair, still irked with his previous encounter. "I am not that small," the student muttered, folding his arms over his chest. "What does my height have to do with anything, anyways?" he demanded. This man had never seen him run, train, anything. How could he even think to judge?

"I'm quite sure. What's it to you?"

Ka watched as the demon wandered off toward the food table, smiling faintly. He was sure that if Far was here, he'd like to meet that one. At least Quentin seemed interesting.

But upon looking around, the teen saw no one he really knew, so he started drifting about the room, perhaps looking for someone who was free to talk to.

----------------------------

"Oh, yea, ok. That makes sense. Sorry if I sounded a bit rude there," Zach replied with a faint flush to his cheeks. Geez, he didn't want to sound like an idiot when they were all supposed to be so smart and stuff, and meeting potential new teachers here. Ugh.

"Really..? Do you one know someone who teaches?" Zach asked then, tilting head in an interested sort of manner.

For a moment it seemed like nothing was going to happen to Noé what with many of the students preoccupied, or else scaring off people much like that lad in the corner who had driven the first demon man off (or so he thought), and he was about to resign himself to once again eating when he felt himself bump slight against someone as he walked.

He hadn't been aware that a body had been so close to him, what with his eyes darting here and there and taking in the activities the room announced with chatter and movements, that he clearly failed to notice something so close to him. He turned to look and see whom he had bumped into and his eyes settled on a lad with a startling hair color.

"Desculpe, pardon, sorry, I didn't see anyone there. Guess I wasn't paying as much attention as I thought I was."

He shrugged sheepishly and smiled brightly. He wasn't sure he'd caught his name earlier amongst the confusion, something with a Ka, but that was what introductions were for, right?

She lifted a hand to wave, a little bemused. Perhaps it was better that the student had been the one to end the conversation. With a shrug, she followed- not to bother Weiyuan, but to speak to another student she saw hovering near the doors. "Hello," she said, extending her hand to the blond boy. It astonished her that Shinkami didn't have uniforms of any sort- it seemed like the students created their outfits to suit themselves. While it sounded risky to her, it did rather fit the idea of 'saviors' who would one day lead. If they couldn't come up with their own outfits, who could trust them with the world?...

With a smile, Siona continued. "My name's Siona Hale. What's yours?"

The tall blonde let out a deep throaty laugh. "Ah! You have lots of spirit. Determination. Good qualities! I would want nothing less from a student of mine." He clapped a large hand onto this youth's shoulder, giving him a rough playful shake. "I am Vigharthur Össur Gungeirsson. From Iceland." He let go, finally offering a hand. "And your name?"

"My name? I'm called Micajah, a pleasure to meet you."

Micajah took the hand that came towards him without really looking up or paying attention, and when he finally did turn to notice his face burned bright red at the notice the hand he was holding was attached to a woman rather than a girly man. It was the same woman he'd notice when he had first come in, the one talking to Weiyuan, and it startled him that he could have dismissed her presence so easily. Was it because he had gotten so used to only men around the school that a woman didn't even register in his mind?

"Ah, so...you're one of the new Professors? Or at least, a candidate?"

Scyeth bit back a yowl as the large man gave him a good shake. What did he look like, a can of soda? A fluffy kitten? The young demon did not like being man-handled, not by anyone. Period. So when the beast of a fellow offered his hand for a shake, Scyeth did not accept. The once-blond sniffed and turned his head to the side. "I am Scyeth Akazar, student of the School of Science and Technology. Never. Touch me. AGAIN."

If the youth had hackles, they would be raised and bristling and if he had fangs, Scyeth would bare them. No apologizing for 'bad' manners, no. Gungerisson started it. Touching him. The nerve of some people.
