i'd have to go with either Light or Ryuk. But, like many others have said, I don't think I'd be able to get really far in deathnote if there was no L...
...I had a tear when I saw him die. I almost didn't even go on to watch the rest of the show. emo

Naikoru105 I wouldn't watch it. When L died it started to be really hard to pay attention to the show. I thought it went downhill since L died, and I hated Near, I wanted to punchhim so bad... Mello was okay though, he'd be my favourite if L wasn't there

But... The show wouldn't be as interesting if L wasn't in it!
I mean, I had trouble continuing after he died.

If L weren't in Death Note? My favorite character would be Matsuda.

masumi5 I probly wouldn't even watch the show. @_@ I'm not sure whether to agree with this or not, actually. I mean, I didn't get into the show at all until L came into it, I just sort of forced myself to watch... I probably would have stopped, come to think of it.

Or, iJust dont want to ! If L did not exist, iProbably wont be that into Death Note. ._. But, if L was not there, iGuess iWould have chosen Near. He comes in as second best ! xD No way would iChoose Lighy/Kira. iMean, iLike them crazy and insane, but not the way he is ! xD

well as much as I hate to say this...it would be Light because if L wasn't there then Mello Near Matt Mikami ect. wouldnt even be in the show...
