Nathaniel.

Fortunately for the Brit, RuiZhi ran a pretty good intervention. Just as Scyeth's lazers were being locked onto 'kill' mode, his boyfriend came waltzing over and greeted him. Or, something like that. It kind of sounded like a greeting. But whatever the case, the once-blond was thoroughly distracted as he gave RuiZhi's costume an appraising look. "It's kind of...cute," he crooned, hoping that was the correct response when one was annoyed with their outfit. "But, I'll take care of you next year," he promised, swishing to the side so he could properly show off yards of silk. He even did a little twirl, just for RuiZhi's viewing pleasure. "What do you think?" Scyeth was terribly proud of the entire outfit.

The Aussie glances back over to More. Well, at least he was trying to escape Nat. He could forgive the youth for not arriving right away. "RuiZhi, these are my friends, Sasha," he pointed to the Russian, "and Nash," and then pointed to the American. Who knew if they'd met. "And Sasha, Nash, this is my boyfriend, RuiZhi."

Hmm. Was that the first time he'd ever introduced him as his boyfriend?

There were still things that troubled him, but for now, the young man was quite excited, being influenced by the holiday aura. "This is my first time, being invited to a student party. So I guess we are the same...sort of." Wow, that sounded silly. More always felt a degree of inadequacy in front of Nathaniel, considering how he looked up to him when they first met. The other boy looked uneasy, More couldn't tell if it's because Nat was simply not used to going to parties (much like himself) or it was just the outfit that made him look strange. The young man's eyes dimmed a little with the mentioning of "the incident", and quickly spoke in an attempt to change the topic.

"Well, looks like there are a lot of people here. Why don't we go around and see what's going on?" More looked around, spotting Sasha, who waved at him, then shifted his focus back to Scyeth. He thought the other boy looked angry for a moment...but it could be his imagination.

RuiZhi liked being called 'cute' about as much as he liked being laughed at, but it wasn't up for debate at the moment, not when Scyeth was making such a grand display of himself. It was easy to get absorbed in the lengths of silk and how they looked over the growing teen's frame, how much thought had been put into the composition, so he was startled to find his hand had reached out of its own accord to smooth a wrinkle on Scyeth's side. "You look amazing," the Chinese youth admitted, "but I think you could use a peacock feather." His smile warmed into one of his more recognizable expressions that wasn't so sour or irritable.

He almost added, And maybe a mirror, but he was being introduced, snatching his hand back to himself. It wouldn't do any good to embarrass his boyfriend. (Embarrass him from what?) Instead, he gave a slight smile, almost 100% sure he would not recognize the two without the costumes. RuiZhi was pretty sure he knew what the one indicated as 'Sasha' was wearing, but he was unfamiliar with the 'Nash' outfit; he was a book worm, and had absolutely zero familiarity with manga and anime.

"Nice to meet you both," he offered kindly, folding his arms into his white bell sleeves and bowing politely, mindful of his horns. As he righted, he heard a strange sound to his left, prompting him to glance over to...

Girls?

Now, RuiZhi knew there were no girls at the school, which meant only one thing: there were two boys dressed as girls! What was WRONG with this holiday?! The teen gave a slightly strained smile of acknowledgement to the two frightening apparations in front of him, unconsciously edging closing to Scyeth. Leaving sounded like a splendid idea right about now.

Nash gave a soft giggle at Sasha's introduction of his costume. It was indeed a great thing and he couldn't say anything more to really bring in his outfit. So... he remained silent about it save for a few more giggles. It was by this time Scyeth began to introduce his boyfriend... Nash had wondered about it since their last meeting and so this young boy dressed as...a dragon? Hm? It was cute but he said nothing. Instead giving a polite nod of his head, "Nice to meet you." Nash was not sure how to handle this "boyfriend" situation so kept it to himself. For all cases he thought they made a rather cute couple, even dressed up.

Weiyuan smirked within his head. At least someone acknowledge he was there. Which was perfect since that's exactly the person he wanted attention from. He hoped Scy didn't get frazzled, it was so unflattering.

As was what he was going to do. All for the character.

The brunette left his escort's arm, flinging her(his)self at the smaller of the Chinese boys. "" God, did he really get his voice that high? While his mind blanched at the thought of his femininity, his fruit ladden chest decided to rub against his brother's face while he was curled around him. It wasn't his fault that Rui was adorable.

"A peacock feather my a**," Scyeth retorted, easy grin still locked firmly in place. The Australian finally seemed to be at peace with the universe again, after months upon months of being rocked about. "I'm not that vain," he complained, but not without considering if he actually was that pretty. Huh. "But I'll take it as a compliment, anyways."

...nope. He was definiately that vain.

He glanced over at Nash, raising his eyebrows curiously. He hadn't really gone into detail the last time they met, but Scyeth wasn't really the type to try to keep anything under wraps. Not anymore, at any rate. He was about to say something when his group was approached by a pair of females. Weird. He didn't remember-

Oh, right. Micajah. Micajah had found another cross-dresser? Who on earth would crossdress with him? RuiZhi, definitely no. Sasha, no. Nash, no. More, no. Nat....probably, but no, he was already here. Al, no. Hmm. That left Jaden, Elijah, Farlest and those two boys Scyeth had never met. And Weiyuan.

.....and only one of those knew Chinese. Why didn't he think of that first? Duh.

The once-blond started to choke, covering his mouth and turning away as the Chinese 'female' attacked his boyfriend. He should try to be nice. It was a holiday and Weiyuan was his boyfriend's brother and...

"Weiyuan, I do believe they call that sort of thing 'incest'."

...and that opportunity was way too good to pass up.

"Let go of RuiZhi."

"Let's not start anything, both of you."

Micajah had been silent this whole while after coming over with Weiyuan latched to him, his mind in various places to get the images of a boy wearing fake breasts snuggling himself against him like a pole at the strip bar, but now as it sounded like confrontation was about to start he had to step in and stop this.

"This is a Halloween party and we're meant to have fun. And we will have fun, one way or another."

It was no use trying to sound so intimidating, all the more so in a dress that made him look like such a girl, but Micajah was standing firm. This wasn't going to fly, not tonight, not after he'd worked so damn hard on everything only to have Scyeth go and ruin it with his usual moods before any games could occur.

To say that the sound that escaped RuiZhi was indignant was an understatement; he was being assaulted by a s/he, screaming in his own language in a painful pitch, his face buried into the most uncomfortable cleavage on the planet. What in Luna's name was wrong with these two crossdressers?!

"Weiyuan, I do b--" That was all the teen heard. It was all he needed to hear. Wide blue eyes shot up from the fake cleavage, a stubborn disbelief clear on his soft features, trying to extract himself from (his brother?!) the s/he's grasp and fake bosom. "" he practically wheezed the word, horrified. This...this thing could not be his brother! Even with all the rumors he'd heard at the mall, the jeers, the inquiry if he was as adventurous as or as willing as the older Chinese youth, he had refused to believe. But...could this feminine terror really be...?

"Micajah?" RuiZhi outright gaped at the blonde, now frozen in place. THAT? THAT was Micajah? The down-to-earth and non-confrontational blonde with a love of magic and running into door knobs? The Chinese teen could understand the concept of dressing up, but...as GIRLS? Like THAT?

His blue eyes shifted to Scyeth, trying to find some calm in the storm of madness that had seemed to envelope him. No, RuiZhi did not understand Halloween, and with his brother's fake chest and make uped face against him, he was relatively sure this would be the last time he ever participated in the strange and unpleasant festivities.

Scyeth was starting to get the distinct feeling he had better make things 'all better', or forget having another little party like this and expecting his boyfriend to show up. And quite frankly, Scyeth liked hosting parties. He liked to be the center of attention, thank you very much. He liked meeting and greeting new people, and, wait- Was this politics in its simplest state?

...no.

He'd have to talk to Norman about this later.

Scyeth wrapped an arm around RuiZhi's shoulder and pulled him away from the older Chinese boy, hoping some distance might do to put a damper on the tension rising between the pair. "It's alright, Zhi. Mica's just having fun, that's the point of Halloween. Some people do stupid things," he pointed to Weiyuan, "and some people dress up with a more personal touch." He motioned to himself. No, he was not going to explain his general love for Reno of the Turks or Zhou Yu, and no, he was not going to explain his growing fascination of ancient Chinese history, either. He just hoped RuiZhi could understand the point behind it.

"Hey, I know. Why don't we all go play one of those games me n' Mica set up. There's prizes and s**t. And food. And besides! I'd like to see Wei try to bob for apples."

The wicked grin returned to its place. "Might be tricky with that dress and those heels."

What he wouldn't give to see the older student fall in.

Weiyuan pulled back hearing Scyeth give out his 'secret' identity. He resisted the urge to just turn and flip of his arch nemesis but his focus stayed firm on Rui. He needed to know Rui's reaction because this...his willingness to go through all of this, the theatrics, his lack of care of any reputation he had among his peers...he needed to know how Rui would react to it.

And his saw it. Those big (fake) blue eyes told him enough. He easily let his little brother be pulled away from him and he looked away for just a second. He felt like he was saying good bye something but at the same time, he couldn't keep hiding this from Rui. He wasn't the brother that he knew and he hoped that their bond, or whatever is left of it, would be enough.

Finally he stopped his inner thoughts and returned to Micajah's side, taking an arm once more. Except this time not quite going all out in being his character. Still, he kept the voice. "I suppose we could, but you'll have to help me out of this dress. The real owner would rip out my junk instead of just tape it down if I did. And I prefer my regions in working condition." Sweet smile. Cute pose. Check.

Conversation all around him and yet it didn't seem to affect him much. The whole party seemed to get weirder and weirder to him with each passing moment. It was difficult to find things to idly chatter over, but he was seemingly doing it. Still, all the while a part of him wished for his best friend who had still not shown himself. And yet, another part of him knew this need was a silly thing. Almost pathetic. Almost disgusting. But not quite so right yet. For now, the chatter would work. Besides, More was intelligent and quite nice to talk to. Far more pleasant than almost anyone else he'd met.

And less judgmental too.

"Perhaps we are," Nathaniel offered kindly, to make More (as well as himself) feel slightly more comfortable. Looking around though, the idea of socializing made him pale beneath black makeup and sharp green eyes. He didn't like the idea, not at all. Still, he kept smiling as if it was okay and shrugged a little, "Sounds fine with me..."

Why are you still clinging to me. . . .

was the thought that whined through Micajah's head as he watched all these events unfold before Weiyuan finally placed himself back against his arm. Was it because Micajah was nice and didn't push him away that he thought this was perfectly okay?

The teen's soul was screaming, for pete's sake.

But the sad thing was that Micajah was a nice enough person that he would allow this, that he wouldn't push anyone away who wanted to show how they were. This was all a very big event of experience, with a lesson or two somewhere in there for them to all possess when this was all over. He for one was already really surprised by RuiZhi's reactions to everything and Scyeth's willpower to not cold-c**k anyone in the eye, so . . .

"I'll give you a hand if you need it, as I can understand the importance of keeping things clean."

He obviously had no idea what the reference to 'junk' was...at least not yet.

Nathaniel's makeup had done their job in hiding the boy's actual facial expression well. More was unaware of the fact the other disliked talking with others. For the young man himself, this proved to be a wonderful opportunity to interact with the other students, to try and blend in. Still smiling, he took the other boy's hand to guide him into the crowd. More looked around while walking, and he was amused by the fact that he always seemed to find new people every time he looked. The ones that caught his attention were the two who were dressed as females. More couldn't hear Rui's conversation with them over other people's chattering, but...girls at the school? Perhaps they were guests, or teachers...

Not realizing that the two females were actually guys, the blonde made a brave approach to them. "Greetings, may I and my friend join you guys?" More asked politely, while keeping his uttermost friendly smile on his face.

As comforted as he was by Scyeth's intervention, RuiZhi was done. He didn't want anything to do with the party, but for his boyfriend's sake, he was staying. The teen couldn't bring himself to look at the two 'girls,' even flinching a little at Micajah's words, as he himself was not so naive to not understand what Weiyuan was referring to.

Gods above, but it was Weiyuan. Alex was going to kill him.

RuiZhi sighed softly and looked away into the students, not focusing on anyone in particular. This holiday sucked.

Alright. Enough was enough. Of course, more felt the need to bring Nat over, which was slightly less than awesome, but Scyeth was too busy averting crisis to cause a scene of his own. "Yeah, sure thing More," he replied, not entirely sure if the blond was speaking to him or the cross-dressers. He still didn't feel bad about exposing them: maybe he was just a killjoy. "We were just going over to the games."

And since, apparently, RuiZhi was determined not to have a good time, thanks to Ms. Weiyuan over there, the once-blond was going to have to just keep running intervention. He wrapped his arms around the Chinese youth's waist and just...lifted. It wasn't too hard, he'd been training a lot since he'd been skipping classes, and he just tossed RuiZhi over his shoulder with a soft grunt. Good thing his boyfriend was rather petite. And, it wasn't too far to the apples, that was good too. He could make it, as long as he hustled.

Scyeth started to stroll over to the games, trying to look as nonchalant as he could. He wasn't struggling. Yet. Just keep walking, Scyeth.

"C'mon guys! I worked hard on this and I'll be damned if no one plays!"
