I think I can probably delay the learning process by a few years.

But eventually, you, too, will discover the joys of BDSM.

I have no doubt of that. But I'm still a bit young for it, don't you think?

No one is too young for BDSM.

Good. What would you do if someone lied to you about someting quite important?

Regard him as someone who has forever lost my trust.

Well, I promised I would explain. Here you go.

This morning, I told my boyfriend of one week that I was not ready to "go to the next level" with him because he'd asked me in a note the previous day. A few minutes before I said that, he told that he loved me. He seemed fine with it, but when I got to lunch, one of his other friends sat down at my table and he looked angry. I asked him why and he told me that he-who-does-not-deserve-to-be-named (my new name for that backstabber) would tell me about it. HWDNDTBN sat down and they proceeded to argue for the next 15 minutes about if whatever HWDNDTBN was planning on doing was right and if he should tell me. I got him to promise to tell me and he said it wasn't his idea and that he wasn't going to do it. After lunch, he told me that he had been thinking about dumping me and asking out another girl. He tore up the note that he wrote to break up with me and said he "didn't want to hurt me and ruin me ever wanting a boyfriend again". After school, one of my friends told me that he asked her to help him ask out a completely different girl (this is after he promised me that he wasn't going to do it) and I'm quite angry right now, to put it lightly. Comprende, Xumbra-sama?

I understand why you feel mad, and I also understand why he did that.

You probably know this as "guys are jerks", but I have a different way to put it (which may sum up as "guys are jerks" to you), and I need you hear it. I'm not particularly proud of being a boy because of the dumb things guys can do.

1. Guys are horny. 'Nuff said.
2. Guys like multiple girls. When girls say that they like a couple of guys, they tend to (sorry if I misinterpret, feel free to correct me, but this is just how I see it) set their heart on one guy and brush away the other guys. For example, one girl who has a boyfriend will think that another boy is cute, but will not bother with him because she is currently in a relationship. Boys, on the other hand, will try to pick up both dates because, naturally and thanks to their philosophy, "the more, the merrier".
3. Guys like sex. The guy who pissed you off may or may not have wanted sex himself, but the sexual desire is still there. Guys are mainly in relationships for sex, and girls are in relationships for that feeling of intimacy with a soulmate and inseparability.
4. Guys will take the easy way out. Like two girls at once, but you're in a relationship with one? If the first gets old, dump her, and grab the next.

Now, I don't mean to put all guys in a bad light, but this is generally what I see with the stereotypical high school breakup. Things that may seem righteous at one point may seem block-headed at the next.

If I may say one more thing: the key difference between guys and girls is that guys constantly need sources of happiness to keep them satisfied while girls can live with just one source.

I am very, very sorry for you, Mika. It must hurt to be dumped in such a careless manner; I'd shank him but, unfortunately, murder is a crime. I wish I could do something for you to make you feel better, but at the present, only these words and emote hugs shall suffice...hopefully.

[tenderly hugs Mika]

The thing is, he was my first boyfriend... and he constantly said that he loved me... I didn't love him back. (perfectly natural... I've known him for less than a week) I thought he actually meant it and everyone at school said he was a nice guy... why did this happen to me? *cries*
PostPosted: Fri Aug 18, 2006 4:09 pm

Wait, you didn't love him back? You decide to have him as your boyfriend and you didn't know him well? Why, Mika? Shouldn't you know your lover well enough before you enter a relationship with him?

But enough of that. [hugs Mika again] Dry your tears, it's time to move on. Today is just another lesson learned; tomorrow is a new day.

It's hard to love someone when you've only known them for a week, Xumbra-sama. He wasn't a lover... I'm definitely too young for that. I admit I may have been too quick to accept him into my life, but you can't change what's already happened.

Ah. Next time, learn a bit about him first. [pats Mika]

I will. *huggles Xumbra-sama* But now I know what I'm comfortable with and what to watch out for.
