"...!!!" Kir soon realized that his act of bravery just might have cost him his life. He took to the air and dodged the attacks, but he had no idea how long he could keep it up.

Durrahn's body suddenly shifted. While unable to fly due to his inability to leave the ground, his body stretched into a single claw, entire body mass forming a strand from the roof. The claw grabbed for the angel.

"...!!!" Kir was grabbed suddenly. A large claw surrounded his waist. He couldn't use his cheap magic because he was so frightened. His wings flapped rapidly and tried to break him free, but to no avail.

Lily had run out of the shop when the shawdow creature had attacked Kir and she nocked her bow with an arrow and aimed it at the creature as it reached for the angel. The arrow head was a special material specially designed for killing creatures of darkness. She fired the arrow with deadly accuracy, for she'd had decades of practice.

The arrow pierced his arm just short of his wrist. The darkness of his claw forming into a swirl, reforming with his arm as it sprung back to the roof of the building. While still new to this world, Durrahn understood that two on one was bad odds and so rushed off again toward the crowded streets where he had reached little defense. But he then remembered the angel's arrow and concentrated, HIs form shifting into one similar to those around him, his black body forming into clothes, pale skin colors forming in appropriate places. He looked at his new form and, pleased wandered to the second assailant. "What... you shooting at?" He asked with slight difficulty.

Kir let out a silent sigh as he struggled to get breath back into his lungs. He drifted back down to the ground, holding a hand to his chest and breathing hard.

Lily raised an eyebrow at him. His emotions didn't feel like he was really curious, he felt like most of the creatures here, what she had learned meant evil but that didn't mean that he meant them immediate harm. "Shadows in the dark," she replied simply, nocking another arrow, just in case.

Kir slowly regained his breathing again and looked up.
"...!" Kir saw Lily talking to a guy.
Kir could feel that it was the same evil as before. He couldn't summon up any more magic unless he composed himself, and he couldn't call out to her. Her back faced him and she couldn't see him.
"...!" Kir staggered and tried to pull her back, but he was way too far away to do anything.

Lily felt Kir's panic and figured that whatever had attacked him before was still nearby so she took a step away from the person she was talking too, slowly backing towrads Kir.

Durrahn stepped back, fright and curiosity in his eyes. "Shadows?" He nearly croaked. His voice was getting better, but slowly. The creature knew he needed to learn quickly or he would be killed quickly.

Kir managed to get next to Lily. He stood in between them and held his arms out in defiance. He was not going to let this creature take Lily's life.
"..." He silently stared at the creature, as if threatening it.

Evan though the boy had fright in his eyes Lily knew he was faking it. He's definitely not what he seems. she thought to herself, her hand tightening on her bow as the vampire continued to back towards Kir. "If you don't like shadows you probably shouldn't be in this city," she informed him, appearing completely calm.

Lily almost grunted in frustration when Kir moved imbetween them. now she didn't have a shot at the boy in case he attacked. She wished Kir would back off because she had a greater chance of surviving because she was more accustomed to the darkness than an angel

DUrrahn glanced at the angel and then turned, confused, back to the girl. Gulping in preparations, he spoke slowly, "What... rrr... shadows?" His face was in complete curiosity, his appetite satiated by fear.

"Things that hide in darkness and feast on creatures of the light," Lily replied simply, wishing she could tell Kir that they should try to make a retreat but couldn't speak without the other boy hearing her.
