He would not have insisted Reno sing first, honest. In the angel's defense, it seemed that there was no way to force Reno to do anything; he simply did what he wanted. There was a flush to his cheeks by the end of the song. It was only a song. He nodded wordlessly and pulled out a pair of sandwiches, handing one over to the demon. "You're good. I can't say I've heard that song before..."

Reno bowed to the other with a rather self mocking grin on his face. Straightening up he took his sandwich. "Thank ya very much. Would sir like to see the wine menu with his dinner?"

"Hm, maybe... I think I'd have to see the dessert menu first." He looked down at his sandwich and began unwrapping it. This was the most talking he had done in a long time.

"Cookies. Though I'm not sure what kind. What goes with cookies? White or red??" Chuckles Reno. Unwrapping his own sandwich he took a huge bite. After he swallowed it he rummaged around in the basket pulling out a drink.

Val frowned a little. "Actually... I have no idea." He took a bite of his sandwich and watched as Reno went fishing around for a soda.

Reno set his soda next to him and smiled faintly at Val. "That was a joke, Val. You know ha ha? Ah well...it wasn't the best joke around. A better joke would be the time we actually managed to get Tseng drunk and put his hair in pigtails."

"I know that..." The truth was, he didn't know, and had no idea how to reply to it. Perhaps the correct answer would have been 'Guinness.' He glanced back at Reno. "I would pay to see that. If you tied them with pink ribbons."

Reno grinned wickedly. "Yup. Pink and purple...he couldn't figure out what happened. It was great. I've just have to be careful and make sure no one does it to me!"

Val lifted a brow as he ate his sandwich. He'd have to find out whom Tseng had been drinking with... and avoid them at all costs. He turned back to the basket and pulled out a soda. "I agree. You'd look better in blue," he commented, setting the sandwich on his knee and opening up the can.

Reno blinked at Val. Reaching out he took the angel's drink and sniffed at it as he laughed. "Huh...definitely soda so ya haven't been drinking. Was that you're first joke? Wasn't the best I've heard but coming from you it was hilarious. We'd need red ribbons for you."

Reno reached out and gently touched a strand of Val's hair. "Hmm...cute butterfly ones that glitter? Why in the world are we TRYING to make ourselves look idiotic by the way?"

Val was very good at holding still for long periods of time, but for some reason it was difficult at the moment. He focused instead on taking back his soda. "Boredom?" he ventured.
(( I picture little skull barettes and a black lolita dress on him myself, but that's only because of the emo aspect of him. e.e; ))
