Makenna smiled at A'Hallei and then frowned softly when the boy fell, he seemed to do that alot around him maybe he was bad luck, he quickly pushed the thought away and went to help him up. " You okay?" he asked be fore helping him to his feet.

Taking the hand gingerly, A'Hallei stood again, green eyes a whirl of emotion once again. Not letting go of Makenna's limb, he looked down at the mocha hand in his own. A pink blush began to rise in his face, uncontrolled. 'Makenna' he wanted to say, 'How can your eyes betwitch me so? Why can I not help myself when you are nearby? Where does your heart lie?' but nothing emerged from his still lips but a tiny whimper. Solemnly, he nodded, yes, he'd sustained no wounds.

Makenna smiled and wiped a piece of dirt of his face. " I brought us back lots of things but winter is coming and if we plan to stay this place will need instalation." He smiled at the contrast in the skin when he looked at there hands A'Hallei was white like snow and he was dark like mocoa.

Insulation from the cold...? Ah yes, the walls were rather thin, and the roof clearly was not waterproof. Fortunately, A'Hallei was fair at crafting, he'd be able to do a fair number to the house before the weather turned too cold. It was still right smack in autumn, and the floor was littered with little brown and orange leaves. Looking back to Makenna, he nodded again.

" Okay I'm going to stary cleaning in here abit." Makenna looked at the blanket on A'Hallei's bed. " Are you sure your going to be warm enough, i could get you another blanket." he offered not wanting him to get sick with such a thin blanket, and the nights getting so cold.

A'Hallei glanced to the blanket. He hadn't even recalled it was there, he never used it, but then again, the weather was never particularly foul. A'Hallei shook his head, he could procure his own supplies. He'd have to make runs, as it was anyway, for other supplies and tools. He was looking excited, this was going to turn out fun.

Makenna nodded and smiled then blushed when he relized that they still held each others hand, he wasn't sure if that was good or bad or even if the other noticed. maybe he should let go and pretent it didn't happen. Instead he spoke. " We'll need like a chimne so we can have heat in here."

A'hallei realized his hand was still slipped in Makenna's, but in favor of not making a fuss and losing the contact, he sort of pretended he didn't notice. At the chimney (sp?) suggestion he shook his head, what was more conspicuous then a plume of smoke rising in the middle of the forest? No, they'd have to find another method.

Makenna chewwed his lip in thought and looked around the room. " We'll think of something, we could use rocks abd heat them, that way we could even cook on them since we gont reall have a way to cook." stopping his rambling. " grill Kitty has a grill it runs oon propain we could use that to cook."

A'Hallei nodded, a grill sounded just fine. If he remembered correctly, his guardian also had a generator they could use. Finally disengaging thier hands, A'Hallei finished replacing his armor and decended from the treehouse, dissappearing into the woods.
When he returned, it was with a wagon full of stuff. Blankets and a small electric generator, as well as more pairs of clothes, and towels lined the inside, as well as a fully stocked tackle and toolbox. At the foot of the tree, he was faced with a dilemma. How could he haul up all of this stuff? One at a time was the method he went with, bringing the heaviest things up first, with the blankets and wagon ascending last.
By the end of it, he was completely worn out, and collapsed to the floor, panting heavily.

When A'Hallie left Makenna made his way up onto the roof and there he sat thinking everything over, he knew some things already but new emotions swirled in his mind. He sat with his arms wrapped around his knees head barried and cryed he didn't really no why he was crying but he was.
He cried because he was young and and felt useless, he cried because he was confused, he cried wishing there wasn't an age gape between him and A'Hallei and all the others...though mostly A'Hallei what would happen to them when A'Hallei grew and he stayed little? What would happen to there friendship?
So there he sat on the roof crying for things that hadn't even happened yet.

When his breathing had stilled, a soft noise caused A'Hallei's pointed ears to twitch slightly. It sounded almost like...hiccups, but not. A soft shivering wail punctuated by sharp inhaliations. Pained...Sitting up, A'Hallei cocked his head to one side, ear lifted. The noise came from the roof.
Shedding his gauntlets and noisier armor, he climbed, silent as death onto the roof, spying Makenna before he even got more than the top of his head up. The lad was faced away from him, shoulders shaking with barely contained sobs. Holding his breath in an attempt to remain quiet, A'Hallei stalked to within inches of the boy, watching him with an expression of curiosity and pity. It was impossible to tell the thoughts in Makenna's head, what caused him such anguish?
A'Hallei watched Makenna for a minute or two before doing something decidedly uncharacteristic. Sitting down, A'Hallei gingerly embraced the boy before him from behind, wrapping scarred arms around his thin frame. Pressing their bodies together, A'Hallei leaned his head on the younger boy's shoulderblades, ear pressed to the center of his back. Deep within Makenna's body he could hear the reassuring throb of his heart, continuing on unheeded. Wordlessly he comforted his friend, a solemn embrace on the treehouse roof.

Makenna never heard A'Hallei as he climbed on to the roof, he didn't notice him watching him. But he did notice when the other wrapped his arm around him cause him to tense for a second before he relaxed into him after a second or two, he held his breath to try and stop the tears but that only made it worse so he tired to slow his beathing while he closed his eyes and thought of happy things.

A'Hallei held his dear friend close to him, worried when the lad tensed that he had done something wrong. He relaxed for a few moments, before his crying just grew more intense. What had he done? The wind picked up briefly, sending his long white hair over both of their shoulders. "Why are you sad?" A'Hallei finally murmered from behind him, nose pressed to Makenna's shirt.

Makenna didn't no what to say should he lie or tell his friend what troubled him? He was sure that it would sound stupid. But he had to say something after A'Hallei had spoken and asked him. " I dont want you to grow up." he whispered almost like he was saying it to himself, he tucked his head more into his knees and shivered from the wind.
