Rya stabbed at the beast with the blade and then swam to the surface, too exhausted by the murky water to keep swimming. She crawled up on shore and lay on her back, fighting to catch her breath.

It reached out and grabed him and threw him against a sharp rock. He hearded a cracking noise as his leg filled with extreme pain. He swam forward ignoring the pain and stabed the monster between the eyes. He thought for a seconed them screamed magic words. Shards of ice came out of the monsters head. He left the knife and swam to surface and crawled onto the dirt. He finally felt his leg annd started yelling in extreme pain.

Rya forgot her own pain to get up and run over to him. "Did you-" She looked at his leg and gasped.

"yes I think I killed it" he said through gritted teeth. "can you get my pack?" he asked as throbbing pain filled his mind

Rya didnt hear him. She was too busy working with the wound, cleaning it out with potions she summoned. She pulled out pieces of the rock and gently put her hand on the wound. She began chanting a healing spell to ease the pain and speed the healing. After a while it was too draining and she passed out over his almost-healed leg. Her blanket soaked and caked with muddy swamp water that kept it clinging to her even when her tails went lax.

Kyle got up slowly and put some weight on his wounded leg. It felt better so he ran over and got his pack and the blanket. He layed out the blanket on a dry spot next to a tree on a soft spot of grass. He put his stuff down and ran back over to Rya. He slowly picked her up, and brought her over to the blanket. His leg started to hurt again but ignored it. He layed her down on the blanket, and whiped off some of the mud that was on her with a small rag. Then sat down and leaned against the tree next to her. He made small orbs of water from the pond water on his hand, and spun them around changing there shapes.

After a bit, Rya opened her eyes and looked around. "Where am i?" She looed around and saw Kyle. "Are you feeling better?" She tried to sit up but found it hard to.

"ya im fine" He said looking at her warmly "are you okay?" he asked letting his orbs of water drop to the ground.

"ya Im getting tired to" he said listening to the sounds around them. He sighed and closed his eyes, yawning.

Rya smiled at him. "Not feeling up to another monster attack are we?" She managed to sit up. "What surprises me is that i told you that whoever holds this chain becomes my master. But you never even tried, which means you different from the other men."

Kyle smiled but didnt open his eyes "no. . . and I beileve thats no one or thing sould be the master of anyone or anything else unless they willingly accept" He said calmly, as he litened to distant birds in the trees.

Kyle giggled "okay" He yawned again and streatched. "I wonder were Dakota is now?"
