You know you're obsessed with books when you... wake up with something sharp and rectangular pressed against your spine every morning for a week
You know you're obsessed with books when you... spend considerable amounts of time replaying scenes in your head
You know you're obsessed with books when you... completely ignore hunger, the urge to go to the bathroom, or the fact that your corneas have become itchy from so much reading and your eyelids are stuck half open.. and feel weird when they close.
You know you're obsessed with books when you... get so sleep deprived that you doze off while talking to someone.

When you fall asleep reading
When you read with little light at night so your parents don't yell at you for staying up. (Happens to me all the time.)
When you visit a family members house and when they're out of the house or room you read the whole time. (I did that at my cousins.)
When you wake up and start reading.
When your at school, you can't wait until English because if your class finishes early you can read. (My English teacher did that...she also did games.)

You know you're obsessed when...
... you're late for an important event (work, school, etc.) because you lost track of time while reading
... you burn dinner because you were reading
... you don't notice people around you or hear them speaking to you when you're reading
... your fiance gets upset that you spend more time reading than you do with them
... you don't know what to do when you don't have something to read

You know you're obsessed when...
...the only reason you want to get a job is to be able to buy more books.
...when you graduate high school you want to become a librarian.
...you go to sleep and your mind subconsciously continues to read the book you just closed a moment ago. (It's very annoying. mad )
...Every time you go out with friends for a stroll around town it's always to head to either a bookstore or to the library.
...You finished the summer-reading challenge from your public library in 6 days. (I turned in my reading-log and all I got was a free access bus pass when I really wanted was the free book! Alas, I didn't receive it.)
...When your dad get's mad every time you ask to go to the library. (he thinks it has gone beyond an obsession.)
...When you get your own house the first thing you're going to do is buy a ton of bookcases.

When some of your best friends are characters. When you can perform all your normal funcitons while reading. (walk, eat, math, play instrument, etc.) WHen you're reading, you don't hear your parents call you for dinner even though you're right next to them. You have all the books of your favorite author, and would do anything to have some way of protecting them from your brothers. You don't dog-ear books or leave them open when you're not there, and you search the pages for crumbs when you eat with them. You'er most agonizing desicion is whether you force your friend to read your favorite book, or keep it safe from your friend's black hole of a backpack.

You know you're obsessed with books when...
... your boyfriend(or girlfriend) buys you a book for your birthday and you squeal so loud that everyone within forty feet of you stares.
... you then tell your boyfriend that you aren't going to ask for much in the relationship beyond good conversations, good intercourse, and good books.
... you have more books than you have room for, and still buy more.
... you plan on having a room in your home dedicated to holding your books, whether it be in book cases, or just piled where ever they fit, or both.

I don't just plan on bookcases in my house, I plan on a little private library! My grandparents had a little library in their house. It was a box room to be honest, but the whole room was dedicated to books like a mini library, and there was an armchair by the window (the only wall space that wasn't covered by bookcases). It was amazing!!

...When you get your own house the first thing you're going to do is buy a ton of bookcases. I'm always doing your third point. When I've been reading before bed I always lie there and imagine what could happen next in the novel. I can't help it, my mind just wonders. I suppose it means I'd make a good writer, which is good seeing as that's what I'm aiming for.

You know you're obsessed with books when you... when you add yourself into the book as another character (Please tell me I'm not the only one!?) when your parents ground you from reading because of your homework isn't being done when all you can do is read and you don't do any thing else when you feel like you have been away from your friends for along time because you wear lost in another world
Is there anything else? Not sure I'll tell you when I remember.
