As much as I can say: I think its the song selection.. For some reason there is always a couple of songs that everyone hates on the games.. Hopefully DDR for ps3 will get every ones faves back. Or they should come up with songs from other people because some of them are pretty good.

I find myself disliking at least 10 songs on every iteration of every music game I've ever played. Except Pop'n Music, which usually has a higher number. Love the game to pieces but god some of those songs are utter crap. That said, X2's arcade songlist looks fairly great.

Needs.Better.Advertising. I seriously haven't seen a single ad anywhere for DDR... I got hooked because of a friend. =3 I wish I had the game with "Wine Red" by The Hush Sound on it... *hush sound fan*... The system to play it on would be nice, too...
But on topic, see my first statement for my opinion.

If we are still talking about the original topic. When DDR came out here, it was the newest thing and everyone started playing it. However after a while, for some areas almost instantanelously for others it was gradual, it became less and less popular. People became fascinated about other things. The only people that still play it are the otakus, the japan-o-philes, the people who want to lose weight but are too cheap or too lazy to go out to the gym.

We are talking about the 7 ft tall, 1000+ pound weighing behemoth that you put the coins in and play the game. Not the disc and pad (optional) that you set up on yer home console and play all of the american license sogns before you get to the few japanese songs that are in there. Also cabinets run in the $6000+ range. Not to mention they take up massive ammounts of space and eat up electricity.

DDR hasn't been good in quite a while.
Although it was cool seeing some actual UK Hardcore in Supernova 2 and X, and not that Japanese immitation of UK Hardcore type.

Eve_Mousey I still love DDR and always will. That game is kickass. but its getting boring now. The songs suck! When I first started playing DDR the songs used to catch your attention and get you to want to play. Why people dont want to play is : because its to hard for themmm. or to make it simple. THEY ARE TO DAMN LAZY TO GET OFF THERE a** AND ACTUALLY PLAY A VIDEO GAME! AMEN TO THAT!!!
