Gina glanced at the woman on the horse. she remembered the vampire that almost killed her, but was terminated by the vampire in front of them all. "he is dead already" she said as her head slowly turned over to the vampire. she felt that oddness again, not even sure what it was. she blinked a few times, as if it were to change the feeling. she then heard the faint screeching again. she froze, trying to point out the noise, but it was no luck. she was too weak. she needed blood, but she couldnt eat anyone here. the humans were there, yes, but she couldnt bear it to eat a woman that had aided her, or the younger male who had no family. she looked around, hoping by luck to see a body or a source of human blood.

"Hmph, then you are of no use to me." Her voice was ever cold, and her stiff body made her words seem all the more icey.
She looked over to the hunter and rode over to him. She moved the child from her horse onto his without planning to ask any sort of question to him. "Take him to a village." Once the sleeping boy was off of her horse, she snapped the reigns. The white mare reared up and she set out once again. She had to find her next kill, and she wasn't about to travel with two vampires. Though she knew the boy would be safer with the hunter than with her.

Gina watched as the woman left. she frowned. are all humans really like this? even the women? she looked back at the vampire. she thought for a moment, then walked up to him. "ill hold the child, if you want." she said to him. she thought it didnt seem right for someone like him to have to take care of a young male, seeing the boy was human as well. she, at least, would be able to trick almost anyone to think she was human.

D turned his gaze back to the mortal woman, but before he could answer her question the Female noble spoke up for him. He kept silent even as the woman handed the little boy off to him and sped off into the night, alone. It wasnt until Gina came up to him that he broke his gaze from the mortal female and looked down at the vampiress.
"Whose following you?" Ds inquiry threw her offer out the window. "And what do they want from you?" Ds eyes momentarily went the male noble, he had a question for him as well. His arm meanwhile snaked around the small boys waist, keeping the child safe atop his steed and as the female noble answered him his eyes went to the road and watched the human female race off into the night.

The small boy looked around at the strange group, but he didn't cry out or whine in any way. He just looked up at the man that now held him. He didn't know what he was, but he certinly was strange. He let out a soft huff and turned his attention to his black steed. The small boy reached out and began to pet the horse's neck gently.
Before to long, November dissappeared from the group. As she continued on down the road she lit herself a torch to be her light in the darkness. Before too long, she came to a fork in the road. Either way, she would end up in another town. But she was sure there was a vampire lair somewhere around here. And it probably wasn't to far away from the village that had been attacked either. She looked up at the signs and headed for the town that was a shorter distance away. With another kick, the white mare lept up and dashed off towards the town.

Gina's head dropped, her eyes gazing at the floor at the mans qusetion. "they are Elites from my kingdom. they were sent by my father to take me back, so he can start a war with the humans...." she paused for a moment as she raised her head back up. "and anyone who opposes his power by helping the humans." she looked at the child, trying not to picture the death of him. he was so young, and Gina felt a frown grow upon her face as she couldnt hide the image.

Ds eyes met the little boys momentarily when he looked up at the youth. But his attention was drawn back to Gina before he could comfort the child.
D nodded lightly in understanding of the girls plight, before he looked over his shoulder in the direction of the remaining bat that had dodged his dagger not moments before. His eyes shifted from the place where the bat was to where the mortal had raced off into the night, all the while the female noble's words raced through his head.
A few moments of silence past between the quartet before D extended his hand to the female noble, offering her a ride upon his steed without saying a word. She would have to climb onto the steed behind the hunter, for the child took up room infront of him. "Where's your kingdom?" D asked the girl once she was situated atop his horse behind him.
Once she had given her answer D lashed the reins to his mount and started off. He stopped momentarily besides the male noble that was following them. D turned his gaze on the male, it was void of emotion. "And you, whats your deal?" D inquired.

Gina hoisted herself up on the horse behind the vampire, shifting to where she was comfortable. her small delicate hand went past the mans head. "it is a seven day wlk past the populated village of Oren. beyond to where the humans believe of the curses of death. it is a grand castle that no mortal could stand and gaze without the shot of an arrow through their hearts." she said, quoting her uncles words from years before. she put her hand down and placed it on the steed. the steed was calm and she was a bit suprised to see it was able to take up such weight. her attention then turned to the other vampire male. she never really thought about him, but as she looked at him, that odd feeling grew as well.
the bat turned his head to see a groupd of hidden vampires, the ones he commanded. his body grew and shifted until it was the familiar male Elite leader. being as silent as possible, he crouched to them "they are heading to the Corten Kingdom. we must warn Master, and hold them off, taking Mistress Corten out of their grasp before its too late." he exclaimed. he pointed to Mizu, the quiet one of the group, and commanded him to warn the Kingdom. Mizu nodded, but he did not want to go. it wasnt the fact he knew of the vampire that Gina is currently riding with, but it was the fact he did not want to be alone. he grew a fondness of Gina, but he knew that Gina would never care the same way. she hated him for reporting her in the first time, and he hurt her many times, but he still had the feeling. he darted off, being as clever and slick as perhaps the leader himself.

The boy looked over to Gina before she climbed onto the horse. Oren, he knew that village. His mother had told him horrible tales of that place. The small boy himself shivered at the thought and turned his attention back to the horse. He didn't want to think about it. But the thought wouldn't leave his mind.
He turned his red head up to look at the hunter again. "We aren't going to Oren are we Mister? I've heard horrible things about that town lately. Besides, Mother will be worried!" the boy was in denial about his mother. He was still young, but he had seen death before. He just couldn't believe that his mother had fallen victim to it. It was more comforting to him than facing reality.

Gina, who knew of the village as well, looked at the boy. "there will be much better villages on the way, little one." she said, trying to reasure him. "have you a family in any other places nearby?" she tried not to mention about any deaths. she knew about him being with no mother, and she was pretty sure that he knew too, by the look in his eyes, but if there were any other places that could accept him, then he wouldnt have to face the problems of Oren.

"Um..let me think.." The boy sat there in silence for a few moments. He had heard his mother talking of his aunt but she had passed away recently. He had read the note himself days before the attack on their own village. If only he could remember the name.
He smiled and finally nodded. "Yes, my Aunt Sophie lives in Lorta village. That isn't to far away is it?" he turned his head back and tried to peek behind the hunter at the woman called Gina.

Ginas head began to flow with thoughts about the village name. then she remembered. "Lorta is only about 3 days walking. so its not far at all." she felt a small smile run across her face.

"Mm hmm. Mom recieved a letter from my Aunt and it said that Lorta is still safe from vampire attacks. So it would be the perfect place! Then I can write my mom and tell her I'm okay!" He smiled to himself.
Inside, each lie his told brought him further from reality. Another little lie, another chance at mistaking that whole mess for just a bad dream. There was no way he could acknowledge what had happened.
He shook his thoughts from his head and continued talking to Gina, she was a nice woman so he didn't mind her at all. "You're alot different from what I've heard. I thought all vampires were out for blood. But you seem really nice. You're still not going to suck my blood are you?"

"Hush both of you." D said to the child and to Gina, whom he looked at from over his shoulder with a cold gaze. D turned his blue eyes back on the child and placed a hand on the boys shoulder. He looked ready to break the boys dreamlike of a world into peices.
"Your parents are dead. The vampire whom attacked your town turned everyone into ghouls even your parents. Ill take you to Lorta Village and you can stay with your Aunt from there on out." D said in a tone that was neither cold nor warm. "But that is where we part ways." D said before he addressed the Nobles.
"The same goes for you two." D said not stating whether or not he would pursue Gina's father and strike him down. Most likely the hunters plan, after dropping off the child and nobles, was to find a job for himself. He didnt like it but the youth was running low on money and resources in general, especially his precious bloodpills that kept his bloodlust at bay. The town he had jsut come from had been a waste of time, unless the child's aunt was still alive and was willing to compensate D for his trouble.
A momentary closing of his eyes brought the youth back from his thoughts. "Come on, lets go, we've spent enough time here and have attracted too much attention." D stated, having felt the Elites presence in the trees behind him.
D lashed the reins, not waiting for the male Noble to catch up with them and clearly not offering him a ride, after all the horse could only handle so much. The horse galloped at a reasonable pace, much slower than it usually did when just its master sat atop it.
It wouldnt take them three days to get to the town, not on D's steed. It would take about a day and a half, even with the mount being overburdened with 3 riders. It would be around midnight if the steed did not stop to rest when the trio, came into the village of Lorta.

"Grandpa! She still hasn't come back yet! How the heck are we gonna know if she killed it or not!" Shouted the brash, mopheaded boy to an older gentleman who sat on the nicest porch in the town. He was obviously the leader since he held with him the status and the cloths to point him out as one.
"Hush Gregory. You need to stop thinking that way." The old man said with a sigh as he rubbed his head.
"How can you be sure! It's true he hasn't attacked our village in a few days but maybe he just got stuffed! Either way, I don't think she's comming back!" Shouted the boy loud enough for anyone within range to hear.
"That's enough boy! You know not the code of the hunters! I do. I saw the best one that could ever grace our peaceful little village seventy years ago! A strong man with a face like that of an angels. It was really strange, but beneath that handsome face was a monotone personality. He did his work, killed the last one that took over, and left immediatly after. Alot of the men were jealous. The women fawned over him and he didn't even give them a second glance." The old man rubbed his head gently.
The youth scowled, he'd heard the stories before. "Yeah yeah. Old man, you're just hoping he comes back to help you again! He must be dead by now!"
"No Gregory, that one wasn't human, but neither was he a vampire. I'd know him at once if I saw him again."
