GDan
sweet piece, (the gun and the art ^_^)

is that the one he's fighting with now?

Why thank you and yes it is. I reality it should extend a bit further in the image. But its already overly tall so I had to compromise.

i noticed a bit of a trend here.

our RP has Dr jeckel/mr hyde, the bionic man, dracula, and captain nemo

leage of extrodinary role players much??

I leave it to you to guess who fits each title from the crew. everyone else can have a counter part from fiction, just let me know ^_^

Well, Myles is definitely Jekyll. I mean, he even used Jekyll's notes. (There's some backstory to that, which I'll get around to someday.) Daniel is Bionic, Imber is Dracula, and I'm guessing that the Admiral is Nemo.

ehhh that could be a matter of opinion myles as nysth has a split personality on one side the hard working respectable and gentle nysth and on the other a mindless killer.

aka Dr. Jekyl and Mr Hyde.

I disagree Nysth, Myles definately fits Jekyll and Hyde better. Not to say that your character isn't a gentleman but he definately showed signs that he would be a fighter. I knew early on that you'd have a showdown with someone, especially after you nearly cut Abigail down lol but with Myles we were given no hint at all that he would be capable of such violence, he was a poetic, quiet fellow.

Jebus I can't think who Abigail would be in terms of literary figures. Dr. Moreau so doesn't fit and I'll be damned if she becomes Fanny Hill.

Trust me Nysth, you don't know the half of it yet. In fact, I dare say at this point it's quite in the flavor of the original story. You know it's mostly taken for granted today that everyone knows what happens in the story, but back when "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" was first published the fact that Doctor Henry Jekyll and Mister Edward Hyde were actually the same person was a surprise twist in the story.

In light of this, I actually think I've left it far too explicit to anyone who cares to read back in the threads I've RP'd in here. GDan knows most of the story though, because he's asked a few pointed questions over PM. So it's fairly certain that he was referring to Myles. 3nodding

And Steamgeek, have you read Treasure Island? Abigail could be a female Dr. Livesy. (sp?)

Haha oh Dr. Livesey was a good guy, I wouldn't mind Abigail being his female counterpart. Good call Myles!

Curses. My fiendish disguise has been rumbled.
Anyone guess what his black market goods were then?

Normally I would guess something logical but now that I've realized we can go high fantasy I'm going to say blood and/or other things a vampire would care about. Human organs? Artifacts stolen throughout time? The possibilities are endless. Hell for all I know you're smuggling backmarket babies! lol
PostPosted: Thu Oct 16, 2008 2:14 pm

Umm...mostly the blood. Black market babies is just weird.

Moonwhile of course, that only solves half of Elliot's mystery. Or a third. Or only a bit really. The fact that he is a vampire is a revelation indeed, but doesn't say much to his backstory, why he has a mask for example, or what strange military group he is from.

Also moonwhile, we are missing an Invisible man and a semi-retired adventurer, as well as an immortal jerk. (Or, if keeping to the book, a spy).

Hey, what cha got against blackmarket babies? They're people too, just gotta pay a little extra for them.

As for the mask, if you were to bring Phantom of the Opera into this you may well shatter my brain, good sir. But perhaps acid, a rather identifying tattoo, a fight with one too many resentful blackmarket babies' parents? Hmmmmm?

Well heck if we're going by the book our invisible man is the backstabbing spy in the end. Of course, that means Myles will have to sodomize and kill the poor b*****d in the end for harming our Mina and spying on us. o.O

Considering the nature of Myles's "Hyde", I must say that the scene wouldn't play out quite like that. xd

They cry too much.

And I assure you, Phantom of the Opera has nothing to do with this, and sadly you are wrong on your other three guesses as well. Not that I've given you much to go on yet.

wow i spurred a interesting conversation!

i believe Myles fits the Jekyll/Hyde mold better. correct on the other guesses too.

i think nysth fits more along the lines of the original hulk but less green paint (im talking the oooold version)

i just thought it was funny (but sort of logical as to our theme) that our characters matched certain novels. everyone else is more 'normal' so matching those could be difficult ^_^
