"It would definitely be a sight to see," Elnara agreed with a giggle.

She couldn't imagine her niece any less energetic than she was, or any less outgoing. Then again, she had once thought the same about Aliya as well, and she had settled down quite a bit.

Arwen reappeared from time to time as they headed towards Ulrich and Ulani's house, but mainly only to urge her aunt and uncle onwards. Elnara though was content to take her time and just enjoy the solitude with Lore.

Lore couldn't help but chuckle every time Arwen appeared, she was like a little bird that couldn't stay still. Always flitting in and out of the trees... whether on the ground or in the air (well at least as far as he knew she didn't hop from tree to tree).

He too was content to just be there alone with Elnara, though once the houses were in sight the curiousity came back. Not just about the surprise though, he was also curious to see how much it had changed what with this hearing about cows and chickens.

As they drew near to Ulani and Ulrich's house, Arwen returned to walk with her aunt and uncle once more, but now her eyes were sparkling brightly with mischief.

"Come with me!" she giggled at them, beckoning for them to follow her - not towards Ulani and Ulrich's house, but past it, in the direction opposite of Aliya and Amdir's house, towards Adonai's and Shael's.

Elnara smiled and changed direction according to Arwen's instructions, and as she looked at the completed two-storey structure, her expression turned thoughtful.

"I wonder how Adonai and Shael are doing," she murmured softly. "They had only just gotten married when we were last here ... years ago already ..."

That was a good question truth be told. It was quite possible they even had children now for all they knew.

"Well.... since we're heading towards their house, we could check..." Lore murmured.

Even though it confused him as to why they were heading there, unless there was a child that maybe she would like to surprise them. Or any number of changes or news or... .well there was just too many possibilities.

Arwen was eavesdropping on Elnara and Lore's conversation, and she giggled softly at their comments.

"That's not where we're headed!" she told the eagerly. "We're going past there! Just to the first bend in the river, you'll see!"

She turned around so that she was walking backwards and leading them onward, and her expression was filled with glee. "But we can stop and see them later if you want!" she added with a grin. "I'm sure they won't mind!"

Now Elnara was completely confused. As far as she knew, there was no one else living here in the valley, and there was nothing else past Shael and Adonai's house. Where in the world was her niece leading them?

"Are you as curious now as I am?" she asked Lore, one eyebrow raised in complete confusion.

He laughed, despite the confusion he found this all far too funny for words to express.

"I have been curious the moment Arwen led us away from Ulrich and Ulani's home," Lore replied, "I can't imagine where we are going at this moment."

Though there had to obviously be something there otherwise Arwen wouldn't lead them there in the first place.

"No need to imagine," Arwen giggled, interrupting them yet again. "We're nearly there!"

And as they came around a group of trees, there they were, right in front of a comfortable-sized cottage-like house. There was a wraparound porch with a roof over it, and half of the front side of the house was entirely made of glass. Curtains could be seen through the windows, and comfortable-looking leather furniture. The entrance was to one side, and from the size of the house it was obvious that there were many more rooms.

"Here we are!" Arwen giggled, stepping to one side to let Lore and Elnara go up to it first. "It was Ulani's idea, she thought that ... well, since you were just married and all, you might like a nice private place to live. And since you're only staying a year, it can be used for whoever else needs it after you're gone."

When Elnara saw the house that was in front of them, her jaw dropped in surprise; but when she understood that it was for her and Lore (at least for the time that they would be staying there), she turned to him excitedly and held his hands tightly.

"Can you believe it?" she squealed like a kid at Christmas. "Ulani had dropped hints ... but I would never have thought ..."

An entire house ... everyone from the ranch must have helped ...

"Incredible...." Lore breathed as he drank in the sight.

He would not have imagined... even though Elnara was right about the hints, that they would get a house to stay in. Granted, a part of him said it made sense, but still... it ws such a surprise.

He grinned down at Elnara before looking over at Arwen, "Thsi is amazing," he chuckled a bit looking back at Elnara, "Shall we go in?"

Arwen giggled and stepped back again. "You two go ahead," she grinned at them. "I'm going to see if I can find Adanedhel. I'll see you around!"

And without further ado, she turned on her heel and ran back towards Aliya and Amdir's house, waving at her aunt and uncle as she went.

Elnara laughed as Arwen ran off, and then she lifted Lore's hand and squeezed it tightly.

"Yes," she agreed happily. "I would like nothing better."

She wanted to drop off her bag (it wasn't heavy, but still, it was luggage), explore the house where they would be living for the next year, and relax for a while with Lore ... and of course they would also be making their rounds for visits.

"Then let's," Lore murmured as he tugged Elnara along gently.

He opened the door for her, to let her go in first. There was something magical he thought about exploring a new place. Just looking through all the rooms was going to be a pleasure.

"You first."

Elnara's heart was pounding as Lore opened the door for her, and before she stepped inside, she poked her head in to look around. The first room reminded her of a large closet - shelves near the ground for footwear, mats to wipe feet on, and hooks on the walls for cloaks or, in the case of visiting Gaians, coats or jackets.

"Like home," she quipped as she stepped inside, smiling at Lore over her shoulder before she continued on into the house.
