It does become obsessive. I feel like I clean everyday. GAH I hate it. lol. Between movies? I don't watch much tv. It rots your brain.
PostPosted: Tue Sep 02, 2008 3:20 pm

lol, I think that lost something in the translation there!

I was trying to find a polite way of asking if you're just between jobs?

If you're really bored you could always pop over and do my laundry for me! wink I detest laundry. Especially when most of it isn't mine.

Nah I haven't had a job for a while now. I'm a bum crying lol. I'm doing my laundry right now. Have to wait. I don't mind laundry to bad; I used to work in retail so folding clothes and whatnot is something I could do in my sleep.
PostPosted: Tue Sep 02, 2008 3:30 pm

Nothing wong with bums who do laundry! xd I've dated a few bums who wouldn't know the front end of a washing machine if it bit their face off.

My boyf's pretty good actually when it comes to washing clothes. He's not afraid to venture down to the laundry room on his own!

Before I became a mummy I worked running a mobile (cell) phone shop. The work itself was quite interesting but the number of stupid people I met everyday who just couldn't work out why dropping your mobile in the toilet WILL stop it working used to do my head in!

HA. I'm the bum that stays home while the other works, and makes sure the home is in livable conditions. Clean, wash, rearrange (when extremely bored). Don't cook though, never figured that one out.

You mean I paid $100 for this phone and it's not waterproof, what a rip off.
lol I'm glad I don't have to put up with people, I'd kill someone. What electronic can you drop in a toilet and it still work?? Come on, common sense people. What happened to that?
PostPosted: Tue Sep 02, 2008 3:41 pm

Sorry then, you are completely overqualified for bum status!

Promote yourself immediately to the position of chief-houseslave. xd

You would not believe some of the stuff we've found inside mobile phones. Soup, horse poo, yoghurt, sick...... and the people who bought them in genuinely didn't know why they weren't working! gonk

I think the best one was when I sold a guy a "shockproof bouncable splashproof" mobile phone, he was a farmer, needed something sturdy and hardwearing that could live in his tractor and take a few knocks. It was the perfect phone for him and he was chuffed. 3 days later he brings it back in about a thousand pieces in a plastic baggy and demands his money back.

I ask what the hell he did to it. He said he'd run it over in his tractor and that I'd lied, it wasn't shockproof. I mean WTF!?!??! People are shockproof but if you run them over in a tractor?!?!??!

3nodding conversation IS a lost art...but then this site is set up for people that have the attention span of a gnat. also most people that are older, like us...have way too many things going on at once..kids,school,work,spouse,pets,elderly parents that need care...the world and our lives don't always let us stop to have conversations.

I don't watch much tv. It rots your brain.

True, that. We lived in a very nice hotel for a month and the easy access to tv with cable rotted mine.

I feel that the computer age has isolated us from each other. Are the kids outside playing? Not really, because they are inside, IMing each other.

Coversation has been shortened into "convenient" acronyms, and people's spelling, grammar, and syntax are all the more worse for wear. People are "communicating", but more often that not, not with vocal cords. 'Tis a shame.

Back in my day, my friends would have play dates at my house and I'd only use the computer for book reports and drawing computer art. *sigh* Those were the days!

I try to limit the amount of time I spend on the computer, because to a certain degree, internet rots the brain.

lol, not all of us have way too much going on. Aaaah those were the days! xd

Knit Happens LOVE your name! heart

I know what you mean. I take my kids out to play as often as the weather allows. The park is always empty. Geez, what we wouldn't have done for a park like that when I was a kid. We were lucky if we got a slide and swing that still had the seat on!

Yup I make the perfect housewife rolleyes . lol

wtf? Why would you do that? Purposely try to break something to see if it really is shockproof. Surely the book said up to a certain weight. Did you give him his money back? I would have been like, Sir there is a piece missing I can't do anything till you bring it in.

Internet doesn't really rot the brain. I mean think, you have the knowledge of the world at your fingertips. All you have to do is type it in. It's our addiction to certain websites that rot your brain.

I don't even think that it's certain sites that rot your brain, I mean, I've learned some stuff on here today and expanded my view on the world a little, and met some interesting people.

I think it's the games........

I rot my brain regularly with my Final Fantasy. and I love it! xd

Final Fantasy is an awesome game. I would gladly rot my brain with that one. The movie was pretty good too.
