blumage Haha!!! Its the same with me, altough im not korean, chinese or japanese i often get always mistaken to be one of them. That makes me get mad.....they just talk with out thinking as if like every asian is the same...anyway i wont get angry if people try to learn my language or speak it...in fact i would be honoured that someone is trying to learn my language^^ Yeah same thing with me I think it's kinda cool that someone wants to speak your language because that must mean that they like the language or culture or anything else

I'm very shy to speak it to native speakers though. So far when I talk to people in like the super market I've been complemented on my accent and my proper ussage of the language. Everyone has been pretty nice to me so far. I had no idea people didn't like it when non Koreans spoke Korean or wrote Hangul. Of course everyone is nice to you .. you have porn star breasts. No man is listening to what your saying. (also there are youngin's here , we don't need to know about your "special times") Me= insulted. Just becuase you can't see black woman as anything more than walking sex objects doesn't mean that no one else can. Many of the people that have complemented me on my Korean HAVE BEEN WOMEN! So my breast have nothing to do with it. 꺼져 , 비열한 년! Hows that for ya, or are my breast blocking you from reading this message. mad black women are not sex objects... they are something else that i will not mention here since there are children watching... ninja ... what are we now? Oh and i only mentioned the sex object thing becuase this guy has nothing but half naked and practically naked black women in his journal , all of whom he refers to as Hos and bitches. I don't apperciate someone writing me off as inept at something just becuase I'm a woman. You're pretty damn uppity for b***h with her cleavage in her sig. And I wouldn't point to people's journals if i were you.

As a native English speaker, and perhaps I'm biased, but I think of the manner in which they're speaking. If it looks like they're making a strong effort and trying, I cut them some slack. If they're randomly throwing phrases together and act like it means little to me, then I don't give them much credit. I am working on learning Korean, German, Spanish, and Japanese currently, and when I know things I can say, I'll do it for practice, but try to use it in the correct context when there's opportunity -- not just saying. So, maybe not everyone is annoying. I appreciate based on effort.

Chibi-addict I don't get annoyed...I just hope they won;t be selfish and teach me. The only way I get angry is when they steryotype...or call me chinese... lol. I got used to it. But then again, i look CHinese >_>

I hope I'm not making anyone mad here. I am Spaniard/Apache Indian/Mexican. And I am trying to learn the korean and Japanese languages. And i am not learning the so that I can get hooked up with some asian guy.(though I wouldn't mind it if it happened) And I'm not learning the language because I watch anime. I am learning it because my dream is to be able to go to Japan and Seoul, S.Korea because I have two exchange student friends who are from Korea and I want to be able to speak with them in thier own language. Plus i love the food. I think that Japanese and the Korean languages are very beautiful when I here them. And i really want to be able to expirience the culture while I am there and actually know what everybody is saying. I have been insulted in spanish because I can't speak it anymore. And I do sometimes get insulted when people call me puerto rican. But I have learned to deal with it. So i hpoe my wanting to learn Korean doesn't upset you. And I am sorry in advance if I mess up. domokun

And I am sorry in advance if I mess up. domokun there's being an idiot, and trying to actually speak the language with or without a bad accent. fact is, korean is a hard language to pronounce for non koreans and koreans who grew up without korean. if you mess up, but ur trying to actually learn the language, then ur not at fault. at least ur trying. if someone just speaks random gibberish, then its annoying
