"Good" Riley responded with a small smile "then we should meet the others" and with that she turned and returned into the palace grounds and towards the stables.

The palace stables are large enough to hold over 100horses. None of the military Warhorses are kept here, only Riding horses, and the Warhorses of the Emperor and his personal guards. Three servants have strapped saddle packs to 4 horses. The first horse Is a Large Black Warhorse with a single white front right ankle, and a small diamond shaped white spot on his forhead. The Second Horse is a speckled Grey Warmare with a matching grey mane and tail. The third Horse is a sweet tempered brown mare with black mane and tail, and a white spot on her nose. The final horse was a eager looking young Palimino stallion with an off white mane and tail to go with his soft cream brown colored coat.
One servant holds the reins of both the mares, while two more servants hang on to the reins of the warstallion and palimino. The stables are behind the horses as the animals are already facing towards the path out of the palace grounds via the Southern gate, and out of the city down one of the side streets.

Riley strolls purposely up to the Grey warmare and takes the reins from the timid servant, allowing him to focus completely on the brown mare next to her. Facing the warmare she gently pets her nose and for once the captain's features seem to soften beyond her normal sternness. Softly she speaks to the mare "Ello Hellsbane, ready for another adventure" the horse tosses her head playfully, which seems all together to out of place on Such a large horse.

Samantha strode into the sable, her staff clinking softly as she walked to where the horses were located. On her shoulder was a white fox, that looked ready for some fun.
"Alright, I'm ready, Riley,"Samantha smiled.

Lateef walks into the stables and smiles. She sees her mare standing calmly between two stallions. Lateef thinks to her self 'I'm glad she's not in heat'. She walks up to Ellen, her mare, and take the reins from the young man. "Thank you for getting her ready for me." She then walks Ellen away from the two stallions and says to her "that's a good girl, Ellen. You ready for some fun." She then says to her sister, "hello sister the person I found to join us will be here shortly." She then checks the tack on Ellen to make sure it in not too tight nor too loose. Then she scratched Ellen in her favorite "itchy" spot (on her chest,at the base of her neck). Ellen stretches out her neck and wiggles her top lip. (she's enjoying it)

It was a about this time that a load braying rung though the stables from outside, attracting interest from the horses within. The soft chiming to hoofs was heard in the resounding silence.
"Hey-O there!" a cheerful voice called out. "This yer royel palacey place. Teef? Cha?"
Zakia walked around the corner into the stables. Behind her followed two mules. The mules wore no straps of any kind on their head, yet were saddled? with a strange cross between a bareback pad and a pack saddle. One mule was a gelding of a midnight black coat except for the pumpkin red on his muzzle. The other mule was a mare with a sandy red coat that shone like copper. The gelding was looking around at the horses with the attention of a toddler towards candy. The mare on the other hand was completely without interest in the goings ons of the stable.
Zakia steps up to Lateef and says "So we fit to flight 'r na?

"Hey, Zakia. yeah we're ready." Lateef then rubs Ellen on the head and moved her long forelock off to the side to reveal a big white star. "By the way I love your Mules."

"Thanks, Teef, Sugarfoot and Pop 'n Jay 'ere are the handiest buggers." Zakia smiles and pats the red mare. The mare shows interest for the first time and nuzzles Zakia's shoulder. The gelding feeling left out bumps Zakia in the back. "Ah na, Jaybird, be sweet. I love ya too." Zakia says while reaching up to scratch his ears, which he loved.

Riley acknowleges Samantha's presence, and nods towards the Palimino "I had the stable hands saddle him up for you, do you think you can handle him?" she asked as she watched the Palimino pull against his reins eager to get going.
Then as her sister took the Brown mare and patted her gently, Riley flipped her reins over Hellsbane's head and smoothed them along the sides of the horse as she reached the saddle, and though the horses back was above her own head, she grabbed the saddle and leapt up into the saddle, picking up the reins once there and turning her grey warmare around to look at the group that had formed.
As Zakia approached, she raised her eyebrow, but assuming that her sister knew what she was doing, she nodded towards the new commer and asked "Will you be riding one of those?" she indicated the two mules with a nod of her head.

"Ya Cha. Don't right feel like tearing up ta road meself." Zakia states resting one hand on Sugar's withers and vaulting on to her back in one fluid motion. "Alta they's how I got 'ere, ain't leavin' em fer der yaks 'n bagels." As Zakia speaks Jaybird steps too close behind Sugar. Sugar pins her ears and nails him with both hind feet. Jaybird jumps back looking confused, but uninjured. Zakia rides out the kick and continues talking, seemingly unaware of her mules' antics. "Taint nothin' better than a good mule. An I got two." She finished.

"Don't worry, I can handle Lighting with no trouble,"Samantha smiled as she walked over to the young palamino and patted his nose. She clucked her tongue, letting him know who was boss. She mounted the stallion gracefully, then was handed the reins by the servant. She nudged Lighting a little, to get him to face the others.

Riley shrugged at Zakia, not fully understanding everything the stranger said, and not in the mood to argue her sister's companion choices in front of so many of their inferiors.
She flipped her right hand at the man holding the black warhorse. The horse was immediately led back into the stables where he would be unsaddled and returned to his stall.
With that she turned away from the group and motioned with her hand that they were to move out, and though her sister wasn't mounted yet, she began to lead hellsbane out of the grounds at a walk.

Samantha gave a little cluck with her tongue, urging Lighting to follow behind Riley and her horse. She got close enough where she could whisper with the captain.
"I have known you a long time, Riley and I know that look. You are not fond of your sister's compainion choice, are you?"Samantha asked her friend in a whisper.

Riley allowed the right side of her mouth to slide into a partial smile that only Samantha could see "sometimes i wander where she finds these people" she said softly so that only Samantha could hear her response.
