Just as she had expected, his answer was rather...blunt and simple. However she did learn he chooses not to show emotion often. As he sees that he doesnt have to. Tilting her head, she thought about it. As she thought, the wind picked up and her hair waved through it. She watched dried leaves fly past them and towards Spinel. Then, all of sudden he was tiny again. Not tiny, but he had been her size for such a long time that she had forgotten about his ability. She wasnt sure if he was bored or just plain pissed at her question she had asked. Amatsila did not see her question as an offending one but who knows about Spinel. He was indeed a silent one. Amatsila did not expect Spinel to explain he shrunk back, she did expect him to believe she already know why. Fact was, she did not. The moment was odd, had she turned it odd? She often tried to dodge awkward moments, as the other usually is thinking the same thing. At least she did not have to speak at the moment. Thinking back, she had really come out of shell. Asking questions, bringing subjects up. Although Spinel, here, would careless about her self changing achievements. It was best to keep her mouth shut about it.
A ladybug had made its way to her leg and started to crawl up it. Tickling her, she smiled and shook her leg a little letting it fly off. Time to break the silence, it was just too odd. "Would you like to head to the hills?" Amatsila love that place, you could see most of soquili lands, it was high up, not as high as the mountains but high enough. At night it would be a beautiful peaceful scene. In the morning, it all comes alive. There she goes again, bringing up another suggestion, grinning at her improvement, Amatsila waited for a response.

Amatsila watched him with worried eyes. He looked like he was trying really hard to fly and be a flutter. He looked as if he was losing lal his energy. Was that possible in this world, then again anything is. If there were soquilis out there eating meat, anything is. She bent down to him and smiled, "Or, we could stay here and relax, we've been standing and walking too long." She offered. The flutter needed rest, he had after all turned regular size for her. Maybe thats what drained his energy. It made sense scientificly, as Amatsila liked it. That is thinking things out scientificly. She covered her worried expression with a warmer smile. Trying to think of a good way to return the favor. "My turn to turn your size.." she bent her legs and layed down beside him. Amatsila was still many sizes bigger than him, but at least she was almost his height. The mare smiled and turned to sniff a flower. "Things are stil as beautiful from this level." She stated honestly. Amatsila felt like a bug, a bug in a big big world. She had never really spent time to enjoy the world from this height. Mother earth was really a piece of art itself.
She sighed, satisfied, and felt herself relax. It was good to finally relax all those once tensed up muscles. Her heart beat slowed down to its regular pace. The mare turned to her company, and watched him wondering what he thought. Hoping he didnt mind staying here after all. A bush or berries stood not too far away, what luck! "Hmm, feeling hungry?" She asked nosing towards the bush full of red berries that looked riped. So being a flutter wasnt always that great or easy, it still however fascinated her.

She tiled her head at him then turned back to the berry bush. "Dont mind if I do," she smiled and slowly got up. Partially stretching then taking careful steps towards the bush. There were such things as poison berries in this place, she knew. Very well. Only one time had she eaten one, gave her quite the tummy ache. Spent most her time by a tree, worrying over some demon spotting her and seeing her as an easy prey. These berries were not the same color as the poison ones she had devoured. These were red. Cherry red almost. Amatsila looked at them unsure, just because they are not the same color, it did not mean it wasnt poisonious. She wished she had a two-legger around, pointing out which was able to be eaten and which shouldn't be. She hestitated more and decided perhaps she shouldnt. "Are you friends with two-leggers?" she smiled without turning to him to speak, her voice was quiet but the wide open space above seem to make her words echo a bit. Two-leggers, they were interesting creatures. A bit ugly looking but made beautiful decorations for soquilis like herself.
Turning around to face the flutter, he looked so small from her point of view. How he was lying down. Because of his size, he looked rather...adorable. But she kept that to herself, Spinel was way too mature to use adorable as a word? Or was he. He was really hard to firgure out for her. The more mysterious he got, she felt rejected like he didnt want to meet her, but the more curious and interested she was in him. What secrets he held, memories, and adventures would he bring. She loved adventure, the idea of exploring and discovering things. Trying to scientificly explain them in her own mind. However, she would never be able to do it even if she had it all planned out. The only thing that stood between her and her being herself, was shyness.

He had answered her question with the needed words, nothing more and nothing less. She sighed wondering if she'll ever be able to figure him out. Predict his next moves and all that. "I.....these berries.....are they poisonious?" came her truth ful words. Worried expression at the bush, looked delicious however its a risky thing to do to just eat anything you see edible in the forest. The mare hestitaed wondering if maybe this sounded stupid, maybe this was edible and everyone knew that red berries were edible. Once again, it never hurt to be so careful. However, it could sometimes leave you with an empty stomache. Giving up on the berries, she bent down and nibbled at the grass. It made her dry mouth feel a tad better. If grass didnt help with it, she always had water. Amatsila tried to think of some subjects to bring up. However, she felt she did her best during this conversation. In fact, she was very proud of herself. If she left him to do all the talking, would he start to describe himself? Then again, he was the type to respond back with simple answers that gave off no hint to wether he liked green better or blue. Amatsila sighed and closed her eyes, letting her ears listen to him. As she cassually ate.
Ears rected, and twitching, birds over by the trees and squirrels speaking with each other somewhere in a tree. The sun felt hot on her neck, maybe after some grass she could go into the pond for a dip. He did say it was safe, or no monsters in it anyways. Safe...nothing could be perfectly safe. Her curls slid a bit down a bit, and into her face, although she kept on eating, deep in thought about many the mysteries of the world. Spinel Sun, here, was one of them.

Amatsila perked up, staring at him. He had chosen the word sweet. This was new. She was expecting something along the lines of "safe to eat" or "riped enough for you to eat". All those other adjectives that often made someone sound all happy and creamy, was often avoided by the flutter. Thoughts about him changed, she does not know him very well, so perhaps her first assumptions were wrong. Actually second assumptions. First one was that he was a demon. Amatsila tried to smile. But still shocked in some ways. She hoped he didnt see her surprise expression at all. "Are they now?" a rhetorical question, "Then, I guess its safe to eat." She lifted herself from the grass, picked a berry off and devoured it. Delicious. The sweet taste flowed down her throat and was a lot more helpful compared to grass. A few more conquered her stomache. Now time for that water. Not thinking to mention anything to her company, she just stepped towards the pond, gave one last hestitate look. Then she slowly stuck out her hoof, and dipped the end in it. Expecting that maybe he was wrong, and something would end up pulling her in. Nothing did. She was often wrong with this demon stuff.
Her head was pulled back and her eyes partially peeking at her foot in the water. The mare stuck it in farther and shut her eyes. Nothing. She let go of her breath and let her leg slide in very slowly. She lifted the back leg and stuck that one in. Finally all fours were touching the bottom of the pond. The water had reached where her legs joined up with her body. She smiled and turned to Spinel. He was right, there are no monsters....for now anyways.

"Not that I didnt believe you......it never hurts to be too safe." Amatsila lowered herself more, to the point where she was lying down on the bottom. Except she could not put her head down, because she couldnt breath under water. The water now came mid up to her neck. She sighed and closed her eyes. It wasnt that she did not trust him. One could easily be wrong about something, like how she assumed he was a monster. Amatsila smiled to him, hoping that he could at least smile back. He has not smiled to her so far, or at least she could not remember. The mare let the pond water flow around her curves. She sighed depressingly, looking down at the water. Maybe a few fish wouldnt hurt. However, she'd probably jolt and bolt for the deeper parts of the forest because of them. Her eyes could easily mistaken a fish as a demon. Gazing back up at the sky. Warm on the top, but cool on the bottom. Just perfect. She wished the flutter could join her, so she wouldnt feel so lonely, however he was over on the side, so he was there at least. She returned her gaze back to him. Still holding her friendly smile.
She felt good about meeting him. However, he probably could care less about meeting her or not. Either ways he would have been just fine, but probably preferred to being left alone? Amatsila shrugged at this one assumption. What others thought of her was sometimes predictable, how shy she was anyways. However, how others felt about her, was another story.

He was smiling back. This made Amatsila more happy. It was good to know he was smiling back. She watched him dip himself into the water. It was cool and refreshing to her legs, but she did feel her legs go num. Amatsila thought about her answer. Did she like water, not really. It was just a substance that took up space on the land. She couldn't breathe under it, and sometimes murky water gave her chills. In fact, murky water always did. Water could hurt you, shes knows it may seem gentle and calm on a lake, but out in the sea, it was harsh and rough. Only one trip to the beach, and she had seen a huge arch made by water, washing and running across the sea. Taking anything in its way along with it. The mare tilted her head, "No, I dont have an opinion on water. Its just....there." She looked up and thought about it more. Then, she decided that was an honest answer. She started smiling again. This time gazing at him. It wasnt an insane smile that the type her step sister could pull off. It was rather a soft smile. Almost not there if you didnt look closely at her lips. Besides she was alive, why was she smiling? Amatsila did not know very well herself. But her heart felt light and fluffy. Maybe because she had found out that there were no monsters in the water she was in.
That was always good. She held her smile at him. Wondering if he thought she was crazy or something. Then she stopped and looked into the water. Blushing, she did not want him thinking she was crazy. If he already wasnt pondering over that over her ridiculous careful actions. Amatsila kept her head down in case he was about to laugh at her. Then again, he probably wouldn't. Instead of laughs, he'd probably raise his eyebrow. Staring at her seriously. Anatsila peeked up at him. He did smile, so maybe he could laugh too.
