Salem smied at her. "Well, she is your grandma and it is your birthday party. Why wouldn't she?" he asked, walking over to her grandma. "Hey gram. Whats up?" he asked in the same cute voice he used around Naomi's grandma whenever she was around.
Naomi's grandma smiled at them and then looked to Salem. "I'm doing quite well Salem. You keeping my granddaughter in good hands?" she asked, the usual conversation starter.
Salem chuckled. "Don't I always." he smirked, kissing Naomi's cheek.

"Hey grandma" she said happily as she hugged her. She knew her grandma liked Salem. She never had the problem other teenagers did when it came to their boyfriends and families.

Salem smiled at Naomi and her grandma.
Naomi's grandma then hugged Salem after letting go of Naomi. "You guys are so cute togeather.' she smiled.
Salem then chuckled. "You say that all the time."
"Well, its true." her grandma giggled.

"Yes I completely agree." she said with a voice that showed she was in love. She looked at Salem with a smile then kissed him.

Salem kissed her back and then seperated from her. He didnt want to start making out in front of Naomi's grandma. "I agree also." he smiled, holding Naomi's hand.

Naomi knew why Salem had seperated from her. She understood and agreed. Naomi then noticed her mother and decidd to go tell her about the roadtrip so she wouldnt freak out. "I hate to leave you two but I need to talk to mom for a minute. I'll be back soon." she said as she began to walk away and released his hand.

Salem watched Naomi walk away and then sighed. He then turned to her grandma. "So, wat have you been doing lately granny? I havent seen you in a while." he smiled.

Naomi walked over to where her was by the snacks and drinks. "Hey mom." she said as innocently as possible. She knew her mom didnt like her going far away from home. "I...uh..Salem and I are going to be taking a road trip." she added carefully.
"What? When?" her mom asked with suprise in her voice. She knew about Salem's roadtrips but didnt expect Naomi to ever go.
"Calm down mom." Naomi said not wanting to tell her anything else while she was freaking out like that.

Naomi's mom stared at her. "When are you going Naomi? And for how long?" she asked curiously, and she needed to know. She then glanced over at Salem, talking to her mother. He was a sweet boy, but just the two of them by themselves was like just asking for trouble.

Naomi thought for a minute. "We are leaving tonight. I am not sure when we will be back." She said calmly. "We will be careful and i will take my cell phone." She felt like a kid going out for the first time.

She looked at her for amoment. "Tonight? Okay, but please be careful. Dont do anything unresponsible." she warned. She did trust her daughter, but she was eighteen now. Salem and her were probably doing stuff behind her back anyways, but it made her worry still.

Naomi's mom nodded and then said. "well, I hope you two have fun." she said cautiously, then walking over to her husband at the grill.
Salem then finished talking to Naomi's grandma and then walked over to her. He smiled at her and then wrapped his arm around Naomi's waist. "What did she say?" he asked hr, kissing her cheek.
