He just laid there silently. He knew he'd cocked up by telling her, she didn't want him. Now she probably thought he was weird and creepy. Why did this kind of think have to be so...hard?

She stared for a minute, before starting to giggle nervoulsy, "Well..." She said between giggles, "I like you too."

He jumped down from his perch and wandered over to her, sitting down, he took her head gently in his paws and looked into her eyes.
"Preten' like I don' know."

She blushed deeply, looking into his eyes for a minute before nervously looking away, closing her eyes, and placing a small kiss on his cheek.

She smiled softly, her heart beating fast. She bit her lip, looking at the ground again before hugging him happily.

He blinked and blushed too, wondering whether the stuttering would give him away. It didn't matter, all that matters was that she wasn't shunning him. He wrapped his arms around her too and nuzzled her cheek softly.

He nuzzled her cheek gently and walked back off towards the first clearing.
