Professor Werner sidled quickly through the Hogsmeade streets grinning as students called out to him and bantering about their next homework assignment. He seemed to walking rather awkwardly like a crab or possibly a scarecrow, or both. He made his way towards Dervish & Banges not ever really quite stopping to talk, and leaving a few baffled students in his wake. Just as he rounds the corner he smacks into Andromeda. A parcel as long as the top of a broomstick and nearly as skinny, with a semicircle shape attached to the middle falls from under the back of his cape. The style of packaging is that of a violin or trumpet case, and it hits the ground it seems that a small cloud wafts out from around the seams. Werner nearly throws himself on the case and swiftly twirls it into the folds of his cape before grinning down at Andromeda, his ruddy cheeks shine even more hotly and his bright blue eyes shift around the rest of the street to see if anyone else saw the collision. "Pleasure to see you outside of class Miss Baines, looking forward to the Ravenclaws on Monday!" And winking broadly he ducks into Dervish & Banges after another furtive glance around the street.

Lyra wandered the streets of Hogsmeade by herself. Occasionally, the Ravenclaw girl would duck into a store, and even more rarely, would actually exit the store having brought something. Spending money had never been something Lyra was good at (or liked - she absolutely hated it), but she needed to buy a few things - a new quill, some ink, and perhaps something to send home to her family. Exiting one store, having brought the quill and ink, Lyra spotted the Honeydukes sign and headed towards it. Perhaps I'll buy some sweets to send home. I'll just have to make sure Mum and Dad get some before David [[Lyra's brother]] eats them all.

Fearless was pretty disappointed about the stocks in Honeydukes. There's no sign of her favourite sugar quills. She wandered out of the store and bumped into Lyra. "Hello!" Fearless recognized her. "Lyra, right? I'm Fearless. Wanna go over to Zonko's? The stocks at Honeydukes are running low. I guess more people are buying." Fearless shrugged.

Lyra looked up at the girl. "Umm...Hi." Lyra mumbled, looking back down at her feet. "I actually wanted to get some sweets at Honeydukes to send home. I'm sure I'll be able to find something." She looked up apologetically. "If you don't mind waiting a minute, I will go with you to Zonko's. I'd just like to get something here first." Lyra went inside the store and returned a couple minutes later carrying a little package.

"Huh?" Andromeda blinked as the professor went into the store, "I'm not a Ravenclaw..." Then she realized walked into Dervish & Banges. She looked down at her list, "That's right... I was going to get a sneakoscope." She took a few more steps, then stopped right in front of the door when a couple came out and gawked at her dirty appearance then sidestepped past her. "Oh yeah... Scourgify." She busily worked at getting all the mud off her clothes with her wand.
(( I think you're doing just fine, Lyra. ))

Rich slides out of the mail office and wanders over toward the Screaming Shack. Since many of it's mysteries were uncovered by the famous Harry Potter in many years past and it was discovered not to be as haunted as once thought, it was purchased by an organization originally headed by Mrs. Hermione Weasley for the furthering of positive relations between magical kinds. There were always an interesting assortment of characters heading in and out of the refurbished front doors. Rich leans on the fence looking through the iron bars almost wistfully.
((Hurray Lyra.... I think you're doing fine...I'm sorry I haven't been around. I was a little uninspired and super busy. I'm a little stuck, so uh, socialize your characters, go!))

"Sure." Fearless said with a smile. So she hung around in the front of Honeydukes, waiting for Lyra to be out. She glanced around at the people milling past her, glad to be out on a sunny day. "It's sure nice to have lots of friends." Fearless thought as she saw students walking about in groups, chatting and teasing about.

Lyra spotted the girl and hurried over to her. What was her name? I think it might be Fearless... "Thanks for waiting. I managed to find something." Lyra held up the little package she was carrying. "Shall we go to Zonko's now?" Lyra slowly turned in a circle until she spotted the sign hanging over the entrance to the store. "It's over there." Lyra told Fearless, pointing.

When she was finally clean of mud, Andromeda walked into Dervish & Banges. She casually looked around for the Professor. She couldn't help feeling a little curious about what Professor Werner was doing lugging around the package she saw him drop moments before. Then again it probably wasn't her business, but Andromeda wasn't really the type to let that stop her if she could help it. She shifted over to a random shelf, looking at the merchandise, however, her minds eye was paying more attention to the other denizens inside the shop.

Professor Werner was nowhere visible in the shop, mostly it was younger students of the muggle-born variety oggling at the magical instruments on display. Most were kept in glittering brass and glass boxes, that would have to be polished after closing this evening after the prints of hands and faces were smeared across their surfaces all day. A nervous house elf that worked the shop scampered back and forth across the shop chattering at the children to be careful in a high drone. Wringing her hands and glancing over her shoulder at some particularly rowdy looking young Gryffindors the house elf arrived in front of Andromeda and turning her great round eyes up to her face said: "Is there anything I can be getting for the missus?"
~~~~~~~~~~~
Zonko's was overflowing and crammed with caped students. There was no elbow room and barely any space for shuffling forward at all. There were fizzing and crackling fountains of green, blue, red and yellow light shooting out from the mouths of four grinning caricatures of the house animals. The were tiny flying furry balls with bat wings squeaking and terrorizing the heads of the mostly immobile mass of children until there would be a loud pop and the ball would explode into falling blue snowflakes that would stain the skin for a good while, unless you knew the right spell. At the counter the owner bustled and chortled, took galleons, sickles and knuts and thrust purchases into purple paper bags, shouting merrily for this or that student to check out this or that new oddity or not to forget to grab a handful of the old favorite.
"Uhh... yes, sure." Fearless said as she started walking in the direction that Lyra was pointing. She thought of what she should buy. "What are you going to buy over at Zonko's? I need a few of those fake wands and some fireworks for the common room!" Fearless smiled as she thought of a perfectly evil prank for her friends.
"I'm not sure what I'm going to buy." As she heard what Fearless said, Lyra turned and looked at the girl with a raised eyebrow. "Fireworks for the common room?" Lyra repeated sceptically. "And what might you be planning to DO with those fireworks?" Lyra tried to hide the hint of a smile creeping onto her lips. This girl sounded like she was up to something. Lyra wasn't really worried, though. She simply found it amusing. Even though she refrained from playing pranks on people, and hated them played on her, she wasn't really one to stop others from having fun. Unless the prank involved someone getting seriously injured, which was actually quite rare. Lyra forced herself to focus on the conversation again, and noticed that they were actually almost at Zonko's - and the place was PACKED. Lyra wasn't claustrophobic, thankfully, but still wasn't all that fond of being around a load of people.
"Let it go off during some celebrations? I dunno. I'm still thinking. Letting the firework go off in the Great Hall seems fun too..." Fearless started pondering. As they reached Zonko's, they found the place packed like sardines. Fearless ploughed headlong into the crowd, pulling Lyra with her.
"Aren't fireworks supposed to be set off outside?" Lyra looked at the packed building, sighed in resignation, and allowed herself to by pulled along by Fearless.
