Christina nodded, coming to the same conclusion. "Eh, seven years isn't anything when you can live for an eternity." She placed her hands at her hips, wondering how she should reply to that. "Why don't you take a look around the hotel? You just got here. There's no reason to rush things." No matter how much she would've loved to stay, or how much she would've loved to talk to him more, she really needed to go back to work. "This place as more than enough rooms to keep even you entertained." She approached the door, her hand curling around the knob. "Okay?" she asked, looking back at him.

If there was truth wielded into the heart of Leon's words, it would be she who was the one falling prey to these traps. If her ears could extend to the depths of the pillow talk next door she would have quickly come to object, even if Leon had been picking up on her scent faster than Gregory. So many..ifs... so many what ifs.. but, it was quite unlikely that she would openly offer Gregory a place in her bed even if she desired to. She still embodied enough control over her lust, at the current time, that she didn't need to act upon it. At times her inner beast could be ragged and raw, but Gregory was barely denting the surface of her restraints. Gregory had one thing in his in favor, as he had romanced her into a state of security. If she had judged his demeanor incorrectly, she was in for a rocky evening. But would any of that matter if he were called away to handle the destruction of the room next door?

His hands were definitely useful around here, but she was still more than willing to challenge him about a manicure, "You don't have to work all the time, do you?" Her gaze washing over him as he fiddled with his buckle. Was she making him uneasy? Smiling inwardly, as her question was more rhetoric than anything, and thus she continued. "And besides, you can have your nails trimmed and buffed short enough that your work shouldn't be a huge consequence." She would coax him to try it at least once, but for now she would drop the subject and move on.

"You don't have a partner, Gregory?" Genuine surprise radiated in her words, "Not even the slightest intrigue in one?" She failed to know if the answers were parallel, and it was possible that it wasn't her business to pry, but she did so anyway. "I've always wondered if life would be different had I immortalized one of my conquests." Master had never exposed her to many vampires, and he was far from a bedfellow type. She lifted her eyes upwards, curious of what the view on the roof was like. By his description alone, it seemed lovely. Maybe he would expose her to his sanctuary of solitude sometime. She would never bring herself to ask him to share something so private-- but, it did shed light to his personality. She began to think she had enough to work with.

He could hear Christina's words clearly. He cleared his throat, repositioning himself in the seat, wondering if Leon was right. Is Esmerelda really feeling that way? He smirked closing his eyes for a second. It wasn't that he was imagining anything, he was just wondering what she was thinking. Gregory finally opened his eyes, wondering if she wanted him to say anything specific. "Well, construction is my job. If there's work to be done, then either I have to do it, or I call in the team if I'm busy." The way she was talking made the thought almost... appealing to him.

"No, I don't have a partner. I mean, if I'm going to live forever, I better find someone who I'm deeply in love right?" He refrained from glancing over at the wall seperating Leon's room from hers. "Intrigued in anyone? Of course." His finger strapped around the strap tighter. "You honestly will never know what'd happen if you turned a lover or not. After learning about our ways, they always have the right to leave whether they thank you for turning them or not." Gregory noticed her eyes glance up, and he had a pretty good idea what she was thinking. "It is a very beautiful view. Hopefully sometime during your stay... maybe I could show you the best spot?" He couldn't believe what he was saying. He was practically asking the woman before him if she'd like to take a trip with him to the tippidy-top of the hotel. His free hand skimmed through his green hair as his eyes were locked onto Esmerelda's. "Would you... be interested?" His approach seemed weak, and he was expecting to be refused right away; his emotional experience with women wasn't particularly strong (how else would he have been turned?).

Leon looked at her for a moment before sighing. "You're right. My apologies. After all," He brought his head up to flash her a gentle smile. "You have an entire hotel to run. Don't worry about me. I'll find someway to occupy my time." There wasn't the faintest waiver in his smile or his voice; the perfect mask he had spent over a century perfecting. "You should go work." He stood and made his way over to her, kissing her delicately. "You know how to find me."

Christina didn't know if Leon was being sarcastic or not. She smiled softly before grabbing her transmitter and holding down the C.T. button. "Bobbie? You there, sweetheart?" She asked leaning against the wall. He immediately replied with, "Yeah, whaddya need, Boss?" She paused, taking another moment to look around. "I need the team to come up to Room 305. There's an extreme amount of damage to the room, and basically everything needs to be redone immediately." There was a long pause. "Will do, Ma'am." She smiled, hoping that the answer would please Leon. "Thanks, Bobbie. You're a doll." She hooked the transmitter back onto the small belt around her dress. She quickly kissed him back and opened the door, taking one look back at him. "They should be on their way now, so everything will be fixed. Enjoy your stay." She turned down the hall and entered the employee's elevator just as the construction team was exiting.

Bobbie led the team to Leon's room, letting out a groan as the destruction was revealed to him. "Okay, pal. We'll be done with this in no time. If you wanna stay in here or wait outside, we'll be happy to clean dis place up." The other construction workers began to gather the debris and setting everything back up.

Leon looked up at them from the gutted chair he had been sitting on, closing his book with a snap. "Not a problem." He uncrossed his legs and stood, his height suddenly very apparent. He looked to Bobbie as he fished in his pocket. "Do you know where I can grab a smoke?"

Bobbie wasn't a smart man, so the question confused him a bit. "Eh... To buy, or juss somewhere to occupy your time? I have a pack right here if you'd like." He held up a spare box of cigarettes, wondering if that was what Leon was talking about. "If you're lookin' for a specific area, anywhere is fine wid us." He began to work on fixing the carpet up, as quite a few workers were fixing the bathroom.

The sudden racket emanating from the the room next to hers had instantly soured her mood. "Ugh.." Their rendezvous was one thing, but the construction that followed was intolerable to her ears. She rose up from her bed in a huff, and reached for her glasses. She took one full glance around the room, and then propped them back upon her nose. "Gregory, I need a new room." She stated flatly with her masked eyes focused back at him. She couldn't imagine how he could tolerate such awful clatter day in and day out.

It was quite unfortunate that his team would arrive right as their chat was taking on more depth, as despite how much she wanted to continue discussing with him-- she could hardly hear herself think. In fact, it wasn't as though his approach was weak-- it was simply poorly timed. Her hand fanned down the length of her skirt to smooth out the wrinkles the bed had caused. ..."There is no way that I can get any rest with that going on." She would leave him to find a solution, as after all, that was more his forte.

Leon smiled, shrugging into his coat, bringing the open packet of cigarettes to his lips, pulling one out and striking a match off the wall. "Thanks." He took a long drag on it, tilting his head back to let out a steady stream of smoke. "Ahh...." He slowly closed his eyes. "Ruined hotel rooms, sweat, and cigarettes. All my old friends, together again." He leaned against the wall, rolling the cigarette in his fingers as he murmured lightly. "Ashes to ashes, we all fall down..."

Gregory was taken back a little, noticing her sudden change in attitude. He never really noticed the noise after a while since he's spent most of his life around it. "They should be done soon, but if you still want a new room, I'll try my best to get you one." He scratched the back of his head, guessing that it would be best if he left now. It seemed that she wasn't in the mood to chat anymore, and he actually found himself cursing Christina for that. He stood up, walking towards the door, and turned to her. "I'll, um, get right on that... Is there a specific room you're looking for?" Gregory was a little upset to leave this way and not in a jolly mood. Christina, how could you do this to me? the back of his mind thought as his fingers were tangled with the loose strap of his pants.

A large shipment of items was brought to the room via elevator. There was a brand-new bed, chairs, dresser, and other furniture and decorating fabric. Bobbie and a few others were finishing the rest of the reconstruction while everyone else reorganized everything. Bobbie took a moment to look over his shoulder at Leon, not knowing exactly what he was talking about.

((You know, I just noticed this as you two were talkin': There isn't a thread for the roof XD I need to go add that now >.>))

((xDDD))

Leon seemed oblivous to the workers bustling around his room. He sat in the open window sill, his long arms dangling down as he stared out over the world. "Tell me." He said suddenly as Bobby was about to leave, not looking at him. "Do you think I am a fool?"

Bobbie cleared his throat and dusted his hands off. "I dunno what you're talkin' 'bout," he said simply, having everyone pack up their things. "Is there anythin' else I can do for you?" He ran a hand over the wall, making sure that the wall was fully repaired.

"One that's not so riled with noise.." She muttered her thought aloud in answer to his question. She grabbed her purse, and darted out the door. She looked right, than left, then right again before she realized that she did need to go left and past the room causing the uproar. She shot one icy glare into room #304 and another to the new shipment of furniture. 'What's going on in this hotel?', she thought to herself while mashing the guest's elevator button. Her arms crossed over her chest as she awaited the door to open. Once the door pried open she wasn't too sure where she was heading.

Down was obviously the more appropriate choice as she could complain at the front desk or simply take her leave out of the front lobby. It wasn't until after the door closed behind her that she had finally realized that she had left her heels behind in the room. More fuel to add to the fire. As her stocking feet reached the ground floor she was growing more and more furious. Her masked eyes could not completely cape the contempt and displeasure she was feeling as she strolled through the lobby towards the desk.

Gregory nodded and was about to leave when she did. He quickly noticed that she wasn't wearing her shoes, which forced him to contemplate whether or not he should bring them to her. She was in an incredibly sour mood, worrying him quite a bit; she had just gotten here, and she already hated the place. He glanced down the hallway towards the elevator, noticing that she went down, so he quickly snatched up her shoes and hurried to the elevator. He was going to pay a visit to Christina anyway.
