Darsis walked the streets of Seireitei with no real destination in mind. As he walked his mind was going off on its own, and he was troubled by where it went. He still could not get over the “dream” of Hibiki. It seemed like she was talking to him, that she needed him. Was that possible, he had seen her killed, it was his fault. This was not like him, he had not gotten over her death, but he had come to accept it. How sad he was, this tiny rumble in the foundation of his belief and he was falling apart at the seams. As he turned the corner he heard someone calling out to him.

“Nii-San!!!” Only one person that could be. Darsis spun and in one motion that Vendis could not see, smacked the back of his head. Vendis stopped running and looked at Darsis.

“What was that for Nii-san?” He looked wounded, but only his pride.

“That was for calling out like an idiot. Why are you here anyway?” Vendis fidgeted a bit and Darsis looked at him closer.

“Oh, well I had a class in the 4th div. emergency room today, so I was on my way there now.” He looked past Darsis.

“Soon you will be graduating. Then you can work on getting seated like me.” Darsis grinned with all his cocky glory. Vendis walked with his brother for a moment, then.

Nii-san? Why are you only the 7th seat in your division?” Darsis looked at him and almost laughed.

“Well, the people of the 11th believe that combat strength is king, and are Zanpakuto’s ability should reflect that. Something like 99% of the people in my div. have direct attack power Zanpakuto. Mine is a kido/power type. So I get looked down on for using it.” He shrugged and walked on. Vendis thought over this.

“So you are stronger then some of the people higher then you?” Darsis stopped and this time he did laugh.

“well I might be strong enough to make 3rd seat or maybe even vice-captain in a different div.” Darsis started walking again but Vendis didn’t move.

“So why are you in the 11th div?” Darsis stopped again.

“They are the most powerful at combat, by being with them I gain strength and the power I need.” Vendis caught up to Darsis and they walked to the 4th div. main office.

“See you later Nii-san!” Darsis waved back to his brother and set off for the 11th Div main office.

As Darsis is headed for the office he sees a lost looking girl.

“Need help?”

“Ah, Captain. What brings you to these parts?”

“Just trying to think. Ah, and I also am avoiding paper work.” He smiles and helps her up.

“Well, yes and no. It is still bugging me but I have no Idea what to do about it.” Darsis leaned against the wall.

Darsis rolled his neck making several loud cracks.

“Any time.” He grinned and drew his blade.

“There is an empty lot not too far from here. Let’s go.” He flash steps away to the east.
