Helios watched the berries fall, then quickly looked back up at Blossom, his eyes wide with concern and a litle fear. He braced himself against the tree and stiffened his muscles in case Blossom fell suddenly. He paused for a moment to push the berries away, so that whatever happened they wouldn't be squished, and deliberated on whether to stay as he was or lay on the ground like a rug, so to minimize the chances of them both getting hurt.

As she continued to move back to the tree trunk, Blossom felt a tiny pang of terror, but not for herself. Perhaps she would injure Helios if he tried to catch her? She definetly didn't want to hurt him since they had only met, and it was really her own fault for climbing so high. In the end, she finally decided to try to swing herself around the trunk and slide down. "Helios, back away a little," she called softly.

Helios' forehead wrinkled and he shook his head. "I can't do that; if you fall, there won't be anything to break it, and you might get hurt." He looked up at her with his head cocked to one side. "Unless you have another plan for getting down. Is that it? If it is, tell me what your plan is; maybe I can help somehow. By the way, I moved the berries so that they wouldn't get ruined; I would hate for you to go through all this trouble just to have them squashed."

Blossom giggled a little as she heard him mention the berries. His way of thinking was certainly very amusing for her. "Alright, my plan is to swing around the trunk and just to slide down. If you really want to help, I guess you could try to catch me." She shrugged, staring back down at him. "I'll get down eventually, and if you end up getting hurt, who's going to save other namrah from their nightmares?"

Helios nodded and moved slightly away from the tree so that he could dash to wherever Blossom would happen to slide. At her words, he paused and actually contemplated. "You know.......I can't remember a time when I was hurt; I mean genuinely hurt. I've been bound before, but I can't remember if I was in any pain when it was happening. How strange......you would think I would remember a scraped knee or an insect bite or something......"

"Really? That's strange. But, then again, you aren't very normal," she concluded. "And that's meant in a good way!" While speaking, she turned swung herself backwards, then wrapped her legs as far as they would go when she came into contact with the tree. "Alright, I'm going to slide down now. I'll probably get a couple splinters, but that's probably better than a broken bone."

Helios was was about to give her one startled look when she added the 'in a good way' part. He smiled instead and carefully backed away from the tree just a little so that he would be able to dash to wherever he wanted in a moment's notice. He kept his brown eyes fixed on Blossom as he called out. "I'm ready; go ahead."

Taking in a preparing breath as soon as she was ready, she gazed down at Helios, giving him a look of confidence and hoped she could get down without killing herself. She tenatively slackened her grip on the tree, and she slowly slid down the trunk, landing on the ground with a muffled thump. She grinned and turned to Helios. "Was that as bad as you thought it would be?"

Helios grinned with relief and unbeknownst to him was doing a happy littel fidgety dance with his hind legs. "No.....but I'm glad it wasn't as bad." He turned and quickly went over to where he had plaed the berries and brought them over to Blossom. "I think you should get to pick first since you took the most risk."

"Really? Thanks, but I picked them for you. Don't worry, it's not like you're going to eat them all, right?" Blossom added before he could argue. "Enjoy them!" She smiled sweetly before sitting down to groom her fur.

"Well......okay, if you're sure." Helios pulled one of the berries off of the branch and popped it into his mouth, savoring the flavor. "But I would still like to give you something to reward your bravery. You faced a nightmare and then climbed a precariously high tree; I feel as though I am not as much help to you as you are to me. Is there anything I can do for you in return?"

"What did I help you with?" Blossom was slightly confused, as she didn't think she had helped Helios much at all. "And no, not really. I'm just glad you can be here with me, that's all."

Helios smiled warmly at Blossom. "Ah but you did. You faced down a nightmare that had us both in its clutches, and even now you are making sure that I stay safe and knowlegeable about this place. You are much more of a help than you give yourself credit for. And I am also glad that I can be here with you."

"Oh." Blossom blushed a little, as she wasn't used to being praised so much, but she immediately turned to another topic. "I was thinking...would you like to join me for a celebration? Just a little one, in my cave. It'd be lots of fun."

"A celebration?" Helios pondered on the word. He knew it was something like a party, but most parties that he heard about had more than two people. "Would there be others there?" He knew Blossom had said a small one, but even if one other would be there.....he wasn't sure if he was up to meeting any new people.
