Shemei shook her head, "No...he beat me and and then he welded my cuffs to me. My neck and wrist." She laughed softly, "But it could be a lot worse...you will heal...and I will still love being with you even more. Thank you for staying with me"

Firrah sniffled a bit, calming down just a little bit more. Shemei's voice was soothing him, even if her words horrified him.
"I don't ever want to go anywhere without you," he whimpered softly into her chest. "Never ever!"
He was afraid now ... he hadn't known what fear was before, but now he was afraid ... afraid to be away from Shemei, afraid of having her out of his reach, where he couldn't feel her presence. He feared being alone ... he feared that Casimirio might come after him again the moment he was left alone. He was already - for the moment at least - blind, torn up and bandaged up ... he was afraid of it becoming permanent.
But he trusted Shemei. He trusted her with his life. She was the only one that he could turn to ... the only one he didn't fear.

Shemei giggled and like an unwrapped cheek of her companion. "Oh I am sure little brother that one day you will wish to be alone...like when you find yourself a mate. I wont be able to be with you and your mate on your breeding or claiming ceremonies."
She shifted so she could curl more around him trying to stop his still shaking little body. She smiled and laughed again, "Tomorrow I will get you proper bandages so you can still see...and I will try to get you some medication for the pain and to treat the wound. " She did not mention that it would be threw Casimirio that she got the stuff for she knew that Firrah was still so skittish of the mention of the purple male...and why shouldn't he be? But when he grew a bit Shemei was sure they might become friends.

Firrah jumped a bit, startled, when Shemei licked his cheek, but then he relaxed once more.
"Don't want a mate," he told her shortly, groping around to try to put his arms around her and hug her tightly. "Want you."
He did after all have the mind of a child, and mates were far from his mind. He wanted this mother figure, the one who was taking care of him, the one who was comforting him.
He didn't know what medication was, but he wasn't sure that he liked the sound of it. Still, if it made him feel better ... he would let Shemei do what she had to.

The young black male's words touched her deep. Even if Shemei knew that one day Firrah would want a mate, the fact that he wanted her warmed her heart so. She did not move so that he could wrap his arms around her. "And so you will have me."
She hoped that he would rest soon.

Finally calm, finally comfortable, Firrah snuggled against Shemei's finally still chest and allowed himself to relax completely. The pain was nearly gone by now, nothing more than a dull throbbing, and his exhaustion was taking over.
"Is it safe for me to sleep?" he asked in a mumble, so tired that his mouth would not work right. "He won't come get me while I'm sleeping?"

Shemei wanted to laugh but she did not. "You are safe...he will not come for you again...and I shall protect you wail you sleep....just rest dear Firrah, big sister will take care of everything else." She let out a soft sigh and shut her eyes as well. She knew they would both he safe that night. She still hated herself for that happened to her friend because of her.

Firrah could feel that Shemei was not at all worried, and it helped him not to worry either.
"Okay," he murmured sleepily, finally allowing himself to drift off. He trusted Shemei, and if she said that there was nothing for him to worry about, then he wouldn't worry about anything. She would keep him safe. He did not have to worry about Casimirio.
And just before he drifted off completely into sleep, he mumbled a very soft, "Thank you."
and then he was asleep.

Once she was sure he was asleep, Shemei started to untangle form him. She would hurry to get the supplies so that she would not have to leave him when was awake and scared.
As she walked hurriedly towards Casimirio's quarters she thought of how her young friend viewed her as a mother. She could do that, he needed a mother and she was honored. But at his thanking her it broke her heart. How could she have let him get hurt...she did not think that Casimiro would be so hard on the young male.

Firrah's sleep was not a deep one, exhausted though he was, and the dull throbbing of his face kept him from the deep sleep that he needed. He suddenly felt cold, as if something were missing ... he curled up in a ball and tried to warm himself up, but he couldn't, his body refused to warm up.
His mind slowly began to rise towards wakefulness, and one hand reached out to search for Shemei ... but the bed beside him was empty ...
It didn't register at first, and he kept groping around, searching for her without even thinking about it, his mind too muddled to think.

Shemei entered Casimirio's chambers and moved to get the supplies. At his question after the male she nodded, "He is going to be alright...." she said and thanked him for the medication and proper wrapping she walked back towards her room. She hopped that Firrah was still asleep.

Firrah's hand continued to grope around the bed, searching for the comfort that had mysteriously disappeared, but as he could not find Shemei in his sleep, he was slowly rising to wakefulness.
"Sh'mei?" he mumbled, still mostly asleep. But his inability to find her caused a cold fear to grow in the pit of his stomach, and in his semi-wakeful state he began to dream ... dream of the one thing that could give him that fear ...
Casimirio.
He whimpered as the tall purple male appeared behind his closed eyelids, and he curled up into a ball once more, fearful now, trying to protect himself.

Shemei continued to walk but as she neared her room she heard the sound of Firrah whimpering and struggling and she rushed into the room, "Firrah...little brother what is wrong."
She hurried to the bed,dropping the supplies as she moved onto her bed. "Firrah wake up dear."

Shemei's footsteps echoed in Firrah's dream as the footsteps of Casimirio, and his whimper turned into a cry of fear as he held his head in his arms.
"Don't hurt me," he begged, his entire body shaking with terror. "Don't hurt me ... don't hurt me ..."
As Shemei sat on the bed he felt the movement and it jolted him awake, but he couldn't see who it was and he thought that it was Casimirio, just like in his dream. He edged backwards, still covering his head protectively so that he couldn't be hurt anymore.

Shemei's ears lowered and she looked down, "Firrah...its okay...It is me...its Shemei....little brother your safe....you were having a nightmare..." she said softly and remained still to keep from frightening her little friend. She was so worried about him now.
