"I think it is...I can see an opening just up ahead." she explained, keeping her wings tucked tightly against her sides, even though the feeling of the rock scrapping against her feathers wasn't comfortable. She saw a dim light, just up ahead and she made her way out and gasped softly as she looked out ahead of her. It looked to be a large, underground cavern, the light she saw before was a soft, green, iridescent glow made by bugs on the ceiling and the walls. Small rock islands dotted the underground lake, the glow from the bugs making the water look a soft green color.

He manuvered carefully to avoid running into stalagmites. Pulling up slowly next to Morgana, his tail swept across the smooth stone as the narrow passage opened. And although he could not see the glow worms, Ketsu couldn't help but glace upward at the feeling something was there. And whatever it was, it illuminated the cavern with life. "There's more to this cave than just rocks, isn't there...?" He placed a paw out in front of him and brushed it along the damp rock floor.

Morgy was speecheless for a few minutes, still looking around in awe, but a moment later, she found her voice, "Yes....its an underground lake, water from the mountains probably runs underground to feed it. There are....bugs that glow, so there is no need for sunlight. It's...beautiful..." she said in a soft voice. She padded over to where the rock met the water and she dipped her paw in carefully, finding the water quite cool on her skin through her thick fur.

"Beautiful..." Ketsu echoed thoughtfully as she described the scene to him. He wasn't sure how to explain the word, but when it had been spoken with such a sincere tone it was as if a warm, radiant air passed through the surroundings. He savored the breif feeling before listening as Morgana padded over to the edge of the lake. He knew as much as the difference between light a dark, thus imagining small, soft lights scattered across a dark surface. "The natural flow of water has taken the rock and shaped it into something wonderful over the years..." He slowly moved foward until the soft, cool feel of water lapped at his paws. "I wonder if anyone has found it before."

"Hmmm...if someone has, they decided to keep it secret. I haven't heard of this place being here, but it is quite....peaceful. Maybe I will bring my pups here one day, when they are big enough to swim past the waterfall." she exclaimed, still running her paw through the water, somewhat afraid to swim in it, lest her blood would foul the water somehow.

"There's something about this cavern that could put anyone at ease... I'm sure you're pups would love it." Ketsu spoke softly. The word 'love' sounded odd as he thought about it. He hadn't used the term in while, he wasn't even sure he spoke of it before... Sure he knew the meaning, but he didn't know if he could express it as a word before now. Shaking his head lightly, he blankly gazed across the water's surface as his paws created a small ripple effect. "Your pups, do you know how many you are expecting?"

She was gazing at the wall, the bugs making the glow shimmer a little as they seemed to move about in the darkness, but when he asked her how many pups, she looked to Ketsu and then down to her slightly, protruding belly, "Two more then likely, but I think I will be having three pups." she answered him, a soft smile on her face.

He nodded. "Three? Well I hope they will be as kind-hearted and lovely-natured as their mother." Were it not for the slow drain of blood from his eyes, it was possible a small blush could have appeared on Ketsueki's face as he realized the compliment that had escaped from his lips. Composing himself, he pulled into a sitting position at the water's edge, glancing out into what appeared to him as empty space. "It must be wonderful to have family." he finally murmured.

For once, Morgana was glad Ketsu was blind, or he would have seen just how red the white fur of her face had become, "T-thank you very much." she said in a soft tone, not exactly sure why he thought that made her feel so happy inside. She laid herself down in front of the water, crossing one paw on top of the other, "Well, I am sure you have a family of sorts....but I suppose it is different if you have a family of your own."

Ketsueki tilted his head thoughtfully. "I have been called 'gramps' by a pup I knew before... Though she may have misunderstood the term 'elder'. I assure you I'm not that old." He noted with a small chuckle. "But I suppose that the support and care one would receive from a family is passed on to the next generation... Though I'm not entirely sure, because I don't really have any memories of ever having a family..." he admitted, idly glancing down at his paws.

"Well, the more join your family, the more you learn. But I suppose it is different if the pups are actually yours." she then sighed a bit sadly as she finally looked up to him, "Do you...think me....shameful...for not telling anyone who the father of my pups is? That I don't have a mate?" she asked in an almost scared tone.

"Of course not," he murmured consolingly. "I admire the fact that you chose to take the pups yourself to see it that they were raised the way you wanted. If the father of your pups took no role in raising them, then why does anyone need to know who he is? Your pups may ask who their father is, but if you tell them the reason why you raised them yourself, I am sure they would love and respect you for it..."

Morgy felt her face blush as she looked up at him with awe in her eyes. She stood up, scooted closer to him and nuzzled him again, but this time she knew what she was doing. "Thank you Ketsu...it means alot to hear someone say that to me." she said softly.

Ketsu turned, brushing his muzzle against hers as she edged closer to him. Blushing softly at the feeling, he hoped that most of the blood under his eyes concealed the color that rose to his cheeks. "Any time..." he spoke gently. "I really must thank you for your lovely company this evening. It was a pleasure speaking to you and helping you find clams, even if we only found one." He smiled lightly before glancing down again and shuffling his paws. "You are a dear friend to me, even if I appear the same to you..."

She felt the blush increasing on her face when he said that, fidgeting her own paws a bit, "The same can be said for you. Maybe we can come back again one day. And do not worry, I will find more clams that are strong enough." she said. She looked around one more time, "I think we should head back outside." she suggested, moving herself to go back to the opening in the rock face.
