Savith floated along, remaining interestedly silent on the matter, that is, until Dewpaw brought him to the flowers. "These are pretty," he agreed as he saw them.
OOC: Sorry. I'm sick. Feeling real bleh...

Dewpaw grinned, happy that he liked what she showed him. She had watched them bloom, opening up in the moonlight that had pierced the canopy. she sent the images to him of the deep blue petals opening to reveal a lighter almost sky blue that blended into a light violet. She remembered times like this, where it was her mother or her brotehr showing her the forest life adn alter her shwoing them her new discoveries. She began to wonder if Savith ever did anything like this with his family, but she refrained from asking, locking her mind for a moment to hide those particular thoughts from him. *We should put some by your den, so you can always see them. You'd probably get lost out here at night. or fly into a tree* Dewpaw giggled, finding the thought amusing.
OOC: its okay, everyone has sick days

Savith watched both the flowers bloom before him, plus the images shared by Dewpaw with a silent meditation, half-smiling at her jab. "A reason I rarely fly about under the canopy line after dark," he quipped in reply. "Besides, it would take a skilled gardener to get these flowers to grow on the cliff by my nest." Oops? Did he admit to having a place to call his own here? "Rather, the place I am currently nesting." In the darkness, still forgetting that wolfriders could see just as well at night as they could during the day, he allowed his cheeks to darken ever so slightly.

Dewpaw thought about it a moment. She had hoped to find herself a tree-shaper, like her brotehr, but she hadn't had the luck so far. She thought about being able to make the flowers grow near his den... 'wait,' she thought to herself, 'he said nest.' She turned to face him, staring up at him in time to see his cheeks darken, which confused her a bit, "You have a nest? Like a birds nest in the trees? Can I see it? Yours has to be really big for you to fit in it." she asked, once more bringing out the timid cub voice she found worked with the adults here. She again tugged lightly on his arm.

Savith couldn't suppress the grin in the darkness, even if he managed to keep the snicker out of his voice. "It's called a nest, the same way you call your living areas dens. The difference between wolves and birds, I suppose. And it's not in a tree," he added pausing a moment as he looked back toward the blooms. "It's near one."

Dewpaw grinned with Savith. She found she liked making him smile. "Wait," she thought for a moment, her tone expressing mock confusion, "So the wolfie sleeps in teh tree and the birdie doesn't. This world is backwards!" She turned back to the flowers for a moment, "Can i see your 'Nest?'"

That made Savith chuckle slightly, his free hand coming to his forehead. "I suppose it is, cub," he said ruefully, "seeing as I actually lived in a stone cave shaped into the top of a mountain." He paused at her question, smile fading slightly. "If you like, but it's a hard climb," he warned, hoping that would be enough to discourage her. "Too hard for most nonflyers." As if he'd done that on purpose.

Dewpaw grinned, releasing his hand for a moment, she turned to face him completely. "No worries! I can climb anywhere!" She pounded her fist against her chest, standing as tall as she could manage, not even considering the action might be lost in the dark.

"I'm sure you think you can," Savith replied lightly with a doubtful smirk and a shake of his head. "Perhaps another time, when there's more light, hmm?" was all he said as he looked about, still trying to get his eyes to work right in this very dark night.

"I know I can. I'm a good climber. my mom said she should've changed my name, but i like Dewpaw." she picked two of teh flowers, sliding on behind her ear and keeping the other in her hand as she slid it into Savith's once more. "And it is light. I sleep in the day anyhow, usually..."

"Ah," Savith intoned with a coy grin. "I'd forgotten. Well, another time when we are both able to see, hmm?"

Dewpaw nodded, "Dawn or twilight. Tomorrow when the sun sets. It will still be light enough, right?" She tugged at his arm, intent on leading him back to teh path adn safety from the trees, "And if I slip, which I wont, but if I do, you can always float me up... just, give me warning. its still creepy. Like waiting to fall." A shinver ran up her spine and she shuddered.

"Dawn then, hatchling," he agreed, floating along behind her at the tug. Ah, his eyes widen a bit as some of the starlight teases his eyes, allowing him to glimpse a shadow here and a form there. "I'll most likely be asleep, but send up to me so I shall be awake to catch you."

"If you sleep at night, why are you always out?" Dewpaw asked, accepting his answer and quickly asking yet another question. "You seem more like a wolfrider than you give yourself credit for."

((Answer: Made him sleepy.))
At that Savith frowned darkly, all traces of the smile gone. "I don't sleep..... much," he replied, voice bland and cold.
