I read a book containing explicit sex scenes and cavemen when I was eight, because I didn't know any better.

Memories of Another Day by Harold Robbins. It's actually pretty good, but back then... it was like you, Des. rofl

YES.

And Veronika Decides to Die was awkward for both me and Sam, who was reading the masturbation part at a debate tournament while a bunch of guys were reading over her shoulder.

But But But! Veronica Decides to Die is a wonderful book about redemtion and coming to. I love that book.

Plus, The Rocking-Horse by D.H. Lawrence is more awkward than Veronica Decides to Die. Because most people don't even catch the masturbation.

I guess it's my brain overcompensating for my lack of imagination for two weeks when I accidentally found The Very Secret Diary and Bored of the Rings. Parody and satire = yum

You know what book I'm happy about? Earthsea. Yes, I've finally found it, after years of searching. The first book only, but hey.

I love you Goodwill.

Goodwill is alright, tis a very expensive as far as thrift shops go.

I love thrifting. It is one of the most amazing things ever. whee
That is when I find many of my old cameras and such, and I add them to my collection.

I recently found a old Kodak Cameo Motor EX. It is absolutely adorable.
And I got it for 99 cents.

My favorite book right now would have to beeeee ... Well, I don't really know! I haven't read as much as I've wanted to, so I don't have enough books under my belt to just pluck one out and be like ... THIS ONE. Heh.

I did not like Twilight because ... It had no meaning. It had no purpose and no message other than to entertain romantic views of life. I believe that to be a waste of paper. mad

I love Harry Potter, and would join into the discussion about it, but I haven't finished the entire series. gonk

Maybe next time. whee

My favorite book is...You Forgot Your Skirt Amelia Bloomer!

Watership Down

First off, I LOVE rabbits, and since this book is all about rabbits, of course I love it! But I also saw a different look on the cute adorable fuzzies, which I think Richard Adams was able to portray wonderfully <3

He writes about them just like any other creature should be seen as- another being.

Main outline:: Rabbits' burrows {homes} are going to be destroyed so they travel to new land- they realize they need females and get into war with another burrow of rabbits.

He also created them their own little...like..'Robin Hood' so through the story you hear little rabbit stories as well, and there are fight scenes.. xD between rabbits, and there's one between rabbits and a cat- and I never saw them as being able to hurt anyone, but it made me realize they can and will.

It took me the longest time to read it because, even though I did like it- I'm awful at getting myself to read. Dx And I love reading too! Dx

I also love the sequel, but it's just short stories.

GOD! I LOVE Alice in Wonderland too!!! People always act like it's a load of s**t and some guy on crack DX because Disney killed the story! Dx {[i still love the movie though <3 }} It's written in a sweet soft manner in my opinion- because it was intended for a child. {[He wrote it for Alice Liddel, but told the story to her and her sister on a boat ride }}

And it is a bunch of nonsense-that's what everyone tells Alice in the story-, but it's not as crazy as you'd think it to be.

The books I dislike are The Looking Glass Wars, Twilight, and The One left Behind.

The Looking Glass Wars
- I loved the concept of this story, it's inspired by Alice in Wonderland <3

Alyss heart is a princess of Wonderland, but one day her world is attacked, and she and Mad Hattigan {{er his name is something like that }}are sent into the real world by traveling through the Looking Glass. Alyss gets adopted by the Liddel family after being separated from Hattigan, and she meets Charles Dodgson {{Lewis Carroll}} She tells him of her real life in Wonderland but he adapts it into his own silly fantasy story.

She hates him for this and tells him to never come near her again-which is the authors explanation for why Charles was banned from the family in real life.

But the way it was written failed to grab my attention- I loved the idea of it but I only read it because I had to, and only Hattigan made me keep coming back. It was really short, but felt too long to me- and I defiantly don't want to read the next books in its series.

The One Left Behind- O_O A mystery book which I am horrified to have bought, but at least it was only like...$1.50 o-O;

It was meant to be a kiddie book, at least I hope it was, and so having had read a book made for probably..a 9 year old? While I was 13 might be why I disliked it so much.

It wasn't as mysterious as the description made it sound- a girl gets left at home accidentally on vacation while everybody leaves, but she realizes there's been someone in and out her home. It just ends up being a boy and his baby brother who need food. But it leads up to this lame climax and resolution.

Twilight- It was an easy and quick read- I did like that quite a lot, but what annoyed me was that the majority of the adjectives- I could not understand, and I thought the book was for teenagers DX

It wasn't unique to me, and although I did like the new look on vampires, I've seen all the characters' personalities and looks before.

I've done a lot of 'Who loves you? A vampire/demon/ neko?' story quizzes over the summers {{ >m<;;}} And it is similar to Twilight {{ I haven't read the other books- so I don't know about them}} But in the quizzes I've taken it involved "yourself"- an average girl who tends to be clumsy and meets up with attractive males who end up falling all over you, even though there's another gorgeous lady in the other corner. Or it ends up just being one dude that you meet, but still the same outlining.

You get in trouble with the villain ,they come to save you, in the end you find the guy that really loves you and you love him back.

So to see to see it on the shelves makes me shocked. I can't help but wonder what the quiz makers all over the web think- they got the idea first so it seems xD

But I was hoping for something new- not the serious typical vampire guy! Dx Because the first time I opened the book- I read Bella and Jacob talking- and I thought that Jacob was Edward. {{Stupid mistake xDD }}

And the idea that FINALLY! The vampire the girl fell for was more outgoing and humorous than the typical one was here! But no Dx When I actually read the book, I was disappointed to discover my mistake Dx

Congrats for Stephanie for having a beloved series, but I do hope that her 'The Host' was more original than this.
