My character's moderately deep voiced and dressed very suave. He has a slight Spanish accent.

Despite his looks, he's not very smooth. He stumbles over his sentences a lot and has a habit of looking at his hooves when talking to people, especially women. He usually hangs out in the library.

What are his favorite books? Would you say he is the type that would read dramatically to himself if left alone?

Uh...I dunno what kinds of books centaurs read. xp

However, he does like reading out loud to children every week. [/randomthought]

He's bad at speaking, but good at reading aloud.

Well, he is your centaur, so I thought you would know what kind of books he reads in his spare time. Perhaps something like "A Brief Chronology of Centaurion History" or "Dancing with Werewolves" xD

I find myself stuttering while reading aloud and while casually speaking. =.=
What sorts of books does he read, and does he only read them to centaur children?

My, my. You're certainly inquisitive.

I suppose he reads books about other creatures, rather than centaurs. Much to his embarrassment, he enjoys fairy tales. One of the reasons he reads to children is an excuse to read something he enjoys. He never reads to anyone but the children and the elderly. Fairy tales for the kids, war stories for the senile. He doesn't quite enjoy the war stories, but he loves to see the happy looks on the faces of the elderly surrounding him.

It's built into my species. ;D

By the way, when I think about an elderly person reliving the war, I see something of a Museum of Tolerance variety where tears begin to stream. xD

Unless you're talking about old centaur who have enjoyed the thrills of battle. =X

Yes, the kind of senile guy who goes, "Back when I was yer age, we didn't have all dis fancy whachamagigs. You kids an' yer hay-lo, an' yer big screen tvs, an' yer lunch boxes, an' yer sneakers. Back in my day, we went out in the war in our bare feet. Even when it'd snow. And we had to walk 5 miles to get to school. In the snow. Uphill. Both ways. So, I hope you remember th-zzz...zzz...zzz...zzz..z-Huh, what? WHERE AM I?! I'VE BEEN KIDNAPPED BY A NAZI! YAAAAAAAAAAH!"

Then he'd beat the crap out of you and run.

...Yeah.

Vercci's a total fop. If he can say something in a roundabout way that'll create the illusion that he's witty, he will. Generally he aspires to be like humans, so he tries to distance himself from Centaurian behaviour.

So, would you say that he finds humans to be the more civilized race?

What does he do when he looks into the reflection of a running stream and sees he will never be what he is not? o.o

Honestly, when he looks into a running stream, all he can think is;
"Who's this handsome devil, hm? My, what I'd give for a decent human-made mirror..."

He's in love with a romantic notion of humanity, a race of artists, musicians and performers who've, as he sees it, managed to find a cosy place in the natural order of things.

Admittedly, there's alot he doesn't know about humanity, but he's so taken with the glitz and glamour of some of the larger cities that he's quite happy to disregard superstitious nonsense about humans perverting nature and whatnot. He sees no reason why they wouldn't accept him, those notions don't cross his mind. He's incredibly vain, not insecure in the slightest.

The human society seems a bit too idealistic, doesn't it? = /

He also seems very naive in that sense. Has he ever taken a look into Barton Lake? xD

Lady is very antsy; she's always got to be moving her legs around, pacing, sometimes even hopping when she gets the chance (which isn't too often). She's always friendly and "Let's make nice! Let's be friends!" even with strangers (but she still stays safe, keeping in public and in the open when meeting new people/centaurs/creatures). Her voice is sort of high, like a mezzo-soprano, and she can speak pretty fast, but almost everyone she talks to can hear what she's saying. It's smooth and usually free of breaks exept when she's been talking for a very long time without a sip of water.

She's not really into warfare, because she's peaceful and doesn't like the idea of picking up a weapon, even for self-defense. It'd take something huge to convince her to fire an arrow at someone's leg; not a potentially fatal spot, but enough to keep one from attacking.

If someone doesn't like her happy-go-lucky/friendly attitude and tries to give her crap about it, she just shrugs it off and goes with saying something witty or "If you didn't want to talk, you could have asked. Buh-bye now! *walks off*"

She also has a big appetite, so often, when having a conversation, she'll be nibbling at an apple or a carrot; she carries lots of snacks on her when hanging out.

Her attitude toward humans is that some individuals are cool, and she'll try to make nice with other humans, but she doesn't completely trust them (except for the ones who have proven themselves worthy of her trust).

Would you say that your centaur reflects directly off your rl self?

Originally my centaur self, Lumina, was a dedicated, self-righteous, pacifist. Any promoting war/violence would be harshly rebuked and viewed as if they were ignorant, lost in the dark. Pretty much one set so far in their own ways that they could not see another's viewpoint even if they wanted too. However, if you were peace loving, Lumina would look upon you with kindness and offer assistance whenever necessary.
I always imagined her as being very graceful but standoffish.
As far as her speech goes, I think she would be rather eloquent and soft-spoken, toned either icy or kind, depending on the situation.

For my faun/centaur, I have no clue yet. I'm still developing a back-story for her.

Kakashi is a laid back centaur most of the time and it reflects in his voice....a slow and careless drawl.. but when he is mad or protecting someone, he is the most dangerous centaur you can face... his voice is still calm...but it will chill you to the bone... Kakashi is a centaur who has seen many battles and is not one to talk about himself much...
