Miranda and Nessa watched through a bit of the parted curtains, rolling their eyes at the unexplainable antics of men. They whispered while the boys rough housed paying them little mind.
It seemed as if this was going to be a normal night here. Funnily enough, Nessa couldn't stop blushing, and Miranda seemed oddly distracted..

After the boys had finished their brawl, Bobtail straightened up to fix his coat. "Looks like you've got a girl after you, Moony," he teased. "But she's hiding 'cause she's scared." Secretly he wished the taunt would work, and maybe he could get Moony a bit more riled up to the point where he could do something about the flirting. Like, actually flirting back, would be a good change, he thought.

Nessa poked her blushing head out just to stick her tounge out at Bobby before retreating behind the curtains. Miranda, however, stepped out and straightened her tank top. " Hey, do you have an outer-planet communicator? I need to talk to someone." She asked, resting her eyes on Bobby.

Bobby couldn't help but look at her for a moment before turning his head to the side with an awkward rub of the neck. "Yeah, sure. Right over there." He hooked his thumb towards the computer console. "Use the headset and you're good to go."
Moony suddenly had an evil grin go across his face. "Looks like you got a guy after you, Miranda--" But the headlock he soon found himself caught in was a fierce one.
"Shut it, kitten!" Bobby warned.

Miranda just rolled her eyes and padded over to the console, ruffling Bobbys hair as she passed. She sat, put on the headset-it was crafted to work for both humans and cule- and began to rapidly tapping in numbers from memory.
" C'mon, c'mon. Pick up, you palooka.." She mumbled under her breath, waiting for Kai to pick up his holo-disk on Veratia. She sighed in relief as Kai appeared holo-style infront of her. He looked a bit suprised and distracted.
" Something up, Miranda? It's unlike you to contact me with such haste." Once Miranda started her story of the days events, he simply sat back and listened.

"Hey hey!" Bobby padded his tall self over to the hologram as she told the story. "You dunno if someone's listening into this! Save some details!" He kept glancing at Kai with a slight question in his eyes, as if maybe this guy could be her boyfriend... Except he kept catching glances of Sara in the back. Even heard some of her accent, too.
By that time, he was just quiet.

Miranda waved her hand at Bobby. " He's just as illegal as you are. Believe me, we're fine." She said, as Kai adressed Sara, who poked her head in the picture just to see what was going on. " So, any chance?" She asked, propping her chin up on the desk.
" Dunno, high chance the guns can get wind of the lowdown, and take to bars." Translated that was, Im not sure, the military there might hear of it, and throw us in prison.
" Not likely, if we're hush-hush on the downlow, and stop the jumpers." Not if we're quiet about it, and make sure there is no one to betray it.
The conversation continued like this for awhile.

During a lull in the conversation, Bobby gently lifted the phones off of Miranda's ears with the graceful skill of a pickpocket. Speaking clearly, he tried to get ahold of Sara, saying, "Oy, vreela sa crishni la hei?" Hey, do you speak well?
Immediately Sara shoved Kai aside, taking up the whole hologram.
"Shrel ja nomala gret a lee heil?" And how would you be the judge?
For a moment, they had an extremely rushed conversation, all in the desert tongue, before Bobby gave a quick nod. "Right... you escaped..." Finally, he backed off, giving the headset to Miranda once more. To Moony, he motioned to have a bit of a hushed meeting.

Both Miranda and Kai looked a little bewildered before they continued. Kai wrapped his arm around Sara, so they were both in the picture.
" I dunno, 'Randa. I don't have a ship that big, or that small." He said, shrugged his shoulders in an apology.Miranda sighed. " No, it's ok. Thanks, Kai." She sent them both a smile, which soon morphed into something of the michevious variety. " So, when are you planning on popping the question, then, Kai?" She was granted the satisfaction of seeing him go bright red.

Luckily, Sarah wasn't familiar with the phrase, and was too much in a tizzy to think of what it could mean. "The question? What question?" Sara asked, searching in the hologram for Bobby, but also looking at Kai's reaction.
Meanwhile, Moony and Bobby were speaking in desert tongue, almost fighting. You don't ust go telling someone that when they can't even see them face-to-face! Moony said. Moons, I know, but.. c'mon, we gotta get 'em together somehow! Once more he shot a look at the hologram before rubbing his face. He hated this part of the underground life.

" Uh....um....Well...uh..."
Miranda chuckled. " He seems a little tounge-tied right now. I could explain if you-" " NO!" Kai burst out, which sent Miranda into a set of giggles. He remained red faced as Sara peered up at him in suspicion. He chuckled nervously before clearing his throat. " Hah...nevermind." " Judging by your reaction, it'll be soon?" Miranda asked after her giggles had subsided. She'd moved aside earlier so Sarah could see what was beyond her.. Kai nodded once with a slight smile.

Eventually bobby and Moony separated, both looking flustered. Bobby kept looking over at Sara, examining her features and trying to make connections...
"Kai, what is going on?" Sara asked, looking more concerned than intrigued. "Is something wrong?" She began petting his shoulder in a nervous manner.

Kai smiled, and captured that hand in his, kissing it. " Nothings wrong, no worries." He pecked her on the forehead and wrapped his arm around her again, smiling. " Sorry I couldn't be of more help. I could check if Cosette or Aiden had anything in mind. Aiden nearly always has a new ship, and Cosette knows a lot of contacts who might be of some assistance."
Miranda nodded. " Yeah, that would help alot, if you don't mind." She smiled at the happy couple, though a pang of longing tainted that feeling. It showed slightly in her expression. Every single relationship she'd ever had had gone down in flames. She wished she had something so pure like Sarah and Kai had. They were damn lucky, that much she knew.

Sara looked utterly content in Kai's embrace, though she still had a slight look of suspicion about her. "I want to help, too. They are my people, after all..."
At that, Bobby looked up, but said nothing. Instead of fighting with himself in front of an audience, he went to sulk on the couch. She's gotta get here, or I gotta get these people out... what the hell is Miranda doing? She don't know nothing about all this... What bothered him was that for all he had ever tried to do, someone else would come out hero, someone with money and a ship. Bobby had neither.

" Well, I'll be seeing you Kai, Sarah." The conversation finally finished, and Miranda switched off the device, setting down the headphones. She gathered up her courage, beforr padding toe-heel over to Bobby. With all due tentative mannerisms, she awkwardly patted his hand from where she sat on the couch next to him. " Just thought I try and repay you for helping me out." With that sentance, she let loose a very lovely smile, something she didn't do often. The kind of smile that made her maroon eyes light up and sparkle, and the kind that was infectious, the kind that could melt the coldest heart.
When she thought he'd received enough of a dazzling smile, she stood and retreated back behind her curtained area with Nessa.
