1. How much time are you able to spend on a daily basis updating the Sanctuary?
I would be able to spend a good portion of the day editing the egg sanctuary. For now the actual time would be between 10am to 2am although heavily after about 9 pm to 2 am. This will change to about 5 hours, around 5 pm to 11 pm when school starts.
2. Is there anything that will lower your time mentioned in #1 (such as school starting again for example) and how much will it lower the time you can spend updating the Sanctuary?
Yes. I'm going into my senior year of High School which will fill up a lot of time. It will decrease how long I have but it shouldn't change too dramatically as stated before.
3. Do you have any previous experience as a mod or an admin? If so, briefly describe the places, such as if you had any specific job there, how many members there were, etc.
I have owned my own guild before and have been the crew in several. Unfortunately most of these guilds were small time role playing guilds which have sense disbanded. I have restarted at least three guilds and kept them going for about a month on my own before they died. They have averaged between 50-100 people. All the same, I have done a number of jobs including creating newsletters, managing banning and accepting, creating banners, keeping traffic flowing, and creating a whole guild all my own is more then enough experience to apply.
4. Are you currently a mod or an admin at another site?
No. Gaia is the only site I have ever done admin or mod work.
5. Why do you want to be a mod?
I want to be a moderator because I see a lot of things that need to be done such as cleaning up the eggspam and helping with the egg sanctuary. I'm here to help and I feel I can do that better as a moderator.

I hope you seriously consider my application even though I have not been a member of this community for long. I am very knowledgeable about Gaia and I want to help people who are just coming to Gaia understand what they joined as well as bringing people who are new to the Dragon Caves into understanding. One of the reasons why I want to be a moderator is so that I have some credibility in my knowledge about both places. It would be easier for me to help my friends who have joined the Dragon caves because of me as well. I can also help the RP section get underway.

If I use all of my computer time to update the Sanctuary, I can spend two hours (possibly five later). I doubt that I will need to use two hours to update the Sanctuary, but I try to stay on top of it when I'm online.
2. Is there anything that will lower your time mentioned in #1 (such as school starting again for example) and how much will it lower the time you can spend updating the Sanctuary?
Mostly school, and my after school Drama Club, which I will only have to go to three times a week after school, until two weeks before performances, when I'll have no computer time due to dedication to the plays.
It's probably expected to lower time to maybe less than an hour, but I can make up for it over the weekends.
3. Do you have any previous experience as a mod or an admin? If so, briefly describe the places, such as if you had any specific job there, how many members there were, etc.
Yes, I created a Dragon Clan role play forum, that had 100+ active members for a while, until a hacker ruined the forum.
I've attempted to get it back up and running, and did for a month or two, before it died again.
4. Are you currently a mod or an admin at another site?
Right now, I'm an admin for another role play forum, and a mod at a fairly new role play forum. Basically, all my experience is dealing with role players, though I do hang out around the Help and Suggestions forums on Dragon Cave Forums.
5. Why do you want to be a mod?
My main concern is that the Guild needs more mods to help out with the growing number of users, and in turn eggs and hatchlings. I guess my sole reason for becoming a Moderator is just to help Guild update the Sanctuary.

I'm constantly posting much on the Dragon Cave Forums, so I usually know about new features and problems quickly. I also lurk in the Help forum, so I think I may be able to help with many problems that new members have, if they post here rather than the official forums.
I have a general hatred for chatspeak and bad grammar, so I'll always attempt to make sure that I'm easily understood, to avoid conflicts.
I'd love to be considered, and if I'm not picked, I'll be a good sport and not throw a fit.

BlackShadowmon Alright, we're having a hard time picking new mods, so we need a new topic for this. This time, we need to see specific information from you to help us decide. I should also note that the main reason we need mods is to help update the Egg Sanctuary, so if you don't want to do that, then don't post in here. I have 3 kids but I normally do my computer stuff while they're sleeping. Im a mod on Dragonspam & Dragonbrood right now, I maily catch the people doing things wrong, delete posts, stuff like that, with over 1400 members at dragonspam and maybe 100 at dragonbrood, which is a new site for trading or giving away your eggs and a great place to get eggs with lineage. I want to be a mod because I think that the egg santuary is an important part in helping our dragons grow for alot of the members at dragonspam. My name is glitch on the dragcave site, and its forums. I spend five + hours using a computer a day. At this time I visit many websites. I tend to multi task when doing this.

I am starting College and don't yet know my timetable. This will lower my online time a lot as I will have a lot of coursework to do. School comes first. I may not be able to get online on weekends as I spend this time with my friends and lover.

I have been admin of my own personal forums. I understand the control panel of moderators.

I want to help out. I do not want this guild to start suffering as it has helped hatch all of my eggs.

I don't do my homework as much as I should.
And when I do, I do it while on the computer.

School is starting on Monday, so that should reduce my time by about... 30 minutes to an hour. 3. Do you have any previous experience as a mod or an admin? If so, briefly describe the places, such as if you had any specific job there, how many members there were, etc. The amount of members on the first site that I am an admin of is 45. The one that I am a mod of is 2,716. 4. Are you currently a mod or an admin at another site? Yes, two sites. Both of them are Harry Potter RPs. 5. Why do you want to be a mod? Because I love to help and DragCave is addicting. I know lots of people have problems raising their eggs/hatchlings. Is there anything that will lower your time mentioned in #1 (such as school starting again for example) and how much will it lower the time you can spend updating the Sanctuary? well, on some days i have to go over to my mom's house, and she doesnt have internet there quite yet. 3. No, I'm a home schooled student, so I spend most of my day on the computer.

Yes, I've been a MOD for a few guilds on Gaia. Also, I'm an Admin for an anime discussion forum. (600 members, and still growing, 2000 posts plus) I handle basic T.O.S Violations, thread moving, and a few HTML tasks.

Yes, but it wouldn't limit my time on Gaia.
5. Why do you want to be a mod?
Hoping that you're still considering mods, I believe that you still need more for updating, and such.
We have a smaller number of members, but we have a lot of updating to do each day, and we still need more. (Small staff of 16. Dx)

1. During the week around 2 - 3 hours a night. More on the weekends. 2. Nope. 3. Yes, on several LiveJournal communities ranging in size from 100 - 1500 members. Some of them I am the owner of as well. Others I tend to ensure people are following the rules, helping members with questions etc... 4. Yes, on LiveJournal. 5. To help out and spread the workload of the current mods. I'm good with html etc. I'm also on a different timezone to the US (I'm in New Zealand), so I'm usually around during the night in the US which would mean you wouldn't come on to so many requests in the morning. smile 6. eirien and http://www.dragcave.net/user/eirien7. So depending on the day, probably cut my time down by 3 hours to 6 hours3. Do you have any previous experience as a mod or an admin?
