As Robert and Ash traveled along Route 4, something out of the ordinary caught Robert's eye. Amidst the fields of Rattatas and Spearows, and the occassional ekans, there was a sandshrew sitting amongst the grass. Robert took out his pokedex. Sandshrew, the mouse pokemon. To protect itself from attackers, it curls up into a ball. It usually lives in arid regions with minimal rainfall Seeing how it was a ground type, Robert figured this would be a great time to give Farrah some extra experience. "Farrah, go! Use Energy orb!" opening her mouth, vulpix shot out a sphere of grass energy at Sandshrew. Seeing the incomming atack, Sandshrew dug into the ground and headed towards Farrah. "Farrah, hop around randomly! Don't let it know where you are until after it surfaces!" As Farrah began to do what Robert said, Sandshrew emerged. Farrah had lept out of the way just in time for a narrow escape. "Energy ball, now!" Vulpix fired another ball at Sandshrew just as it landed, giving the mouse no time to react, landing a supereffective hit. Taking out an empty pokeball, Robert launched it at the Sandshrew, the red light digitising it and pulling it into the pokeball. Within a few shakes, it was over. Using the pokedex, he could see it was a male and knew Dig, Scratch, Defensive Curl and Rapid Spin. Taking out an oran berry and picking up the pokebvall, Robert released the sandshrew and offered it the berry. "Here you are little guy." Robert spoke. The sandshrew sniffed the berry a few times before eating it. Robert gently petted the smooth yet hard scales of his head. "I'm going to call you Mathias. Welcome to my team my friend." With that, Robert recalled Sandshrew into the pokeball.

"Nice catch. You really make friends quickly with pokemon." Robert stood and smiled. "Yes, well my parents and I helped raise orphaned pokemon before either releasing them back into the wild or letting them be adopted by new trainers, so I have experience in pokemon care. Unlike that last trainer we fought, I actually care about all of the pokemon I catch, and even those I don't." Ash smiled to this. "Yeah, I've seen that much. Seems like we're two of the same kind of trainers." Robert chuckled a bit. "Probably. but not two trainers are completely alike."

After an hours of traveling, the two made thier way to Cerulean City. And after a quick stop to the Pokemon Center, the duo came to the Cerulean Gym. "I should warn you, Misty's pretty tough, even though you have Sable there." Robert gave a nod. "No need to worry. If there's one thing my grandmother taught me, you never underestimate your opponent, ever. They could have six Magikarps and might pull off a win, since one or all might end up evolving in mid-battle like my Julia did." Ash gave a nod before heading into the Gym, only to be pounced on by Misty.

"Ash! I was begining to wonder if you'd ever come back." Robert saw the red-headed girl hugging Ash tightly. Robert merely chuckled a bit. "Looks like your more than just friends, huh Ash?" The two of them couldn't seperate fast enough, and Misty got up into Robert's face. "I..it's nothing like that, butt out!" She then whipped around at Ash. "AND YOU STILL OWE ME A BIKE ASH KETCHUM!"

"Chill out little sis." A female came out from one of the doors. She looked over to Robert. "So, like, what brings you here?" The blond haired woman asked. "I'm here to battle Misty, the gym leader for the Casscade Badge." Robert replied calmly. Misty recomposed herself and smiled. "Well then, I accept your challenge! And don't think I'll go easy on you!" Robert offered a grin. "It'd be an insult to me if you did." he replied. "So, what are the gym rules here?" Robert asked. "Three on three. Only the challenger is allowed substitutions." Misty replied. "Now, follow me." With that, Robert and Ash followed Misty. Robert looked in amazement as they walked through the corridors. "This looks more like an aquarium than a gym. I like it!" Robert said as he watched the Seals, Staryus and Feebas swim along the watery enclosures outside of the glass coridors.

When they reached the Gym, Robert could see that the gym itself was a gigantic swimming pool, with several large lillipads. This certainly wasn't a place for heavy pokemon. Robert already knew his line up: Sable was a must. Farrah was a risk. She knew Energy Ball which could really mess things up for Misty, but as a fire type, one water hit would wipe her out. Finally there was Krystal, who needed some experience.

"Alright, let's do this! Politied, go!" Misty tossed her pokeball, releasing Politoed from its confines. "After thinking for a bit, Robert decided to go with Farrah to start. "Farrah, let's go!" The Vulpix landed on one of the lillypad. "You're pretty gutsy using a fire type here." Misty spoke with a grin. "I think you'll find that my Farrah is full of surprises." Robert retorted.

"Politoad, hit it with Bubblebeam!" Misty called out.

"Farrah, dodge it and fire away with Energy Ball as you move!!" As the Bubblebeam followed Farrah wherever she ran, Farrah was able to land at least one of the four energy balls she fired off, leaving Politoed in a bad way. "Politoed, Perish song and hypnosis!"

"Farrah, one more time with Energy Ball!" Robert called out. The Perish song struck home, leaving a sense of doom upon Farrah. Hypnosis took effect soon after, but not before firing off one energy ball, finishing Politoed off. Although Farrah was still clinically able to fight by league rules, Robert feltthat now would be the best time to remove her from the field. "Farrah, return!" Robert said, using his pokeball to recall Farrah.

Misty smiled. "Well you caught me by surprise there, but for all intensive purposes, we're about even right now. Seadra, go!" Misty launched Seadra into the pool. But Misty felt a bit confused. Robert had a pikachu, she could see it right next to him. Why wasn't he using it?

Robert took out his next pokeball. "Go, Krystal! Quick Attack!"As soon as his Pidgey appeared in the sky, it made a divebomb for Seadra. "Seadra, smokescreen!" Within moments, the stadium was filled with thick smoke. "Krystal!, stop your quick attack and use gust!" Krystal used her powerful wings to blow the smoke away. But Saedra wasn't there anymore. "Now, Hydro Pump!" From out an dbehind, Seadra let loos a powerful water attack, sending Pidgy out of the ring, fainted. "Krystal, return. Sable, Thunder Bolt the water!" As Robert recalled his pokemon, Sableshot a powerful electric attack directly into the pool itself, frying Seadra in the pool, fainting it. Robert was up two to one, but one of Robert's two was sleeping and still had a perish count. However, with Sable, things were taking a turn in Robert's favor.

"This isn't over yet, and I'm not going to be scared off by electricity! Go, Staryu! Comoflauge and Rapid Spin!" Within seconds, the Staryu that appeared, seemed to vanish into thin air. Suddenly, Sable started taking damage from different directions. "Sable, charge up the immediate area around you with thunder wave!" As Staryu made its next attack, it became paralysed by the thunder wave and lost its camoflauge, but not before taking out Sable. Now they two of them were one for one, and both under status effects. Sable, return. I hate to do this but you're my last hope. Farrah, go!" Robert called out his sleeping Vulpix, who was now at a count of three. If she didn't wake up in three turns, the perish song would faint her. And if luck turned agianst him, she might not even last that long. "Alright Staryu, Water Gun!" However, Staryu couldn't move a muscle due to the paralysis. "Come on, Lilly, Wake up and use Enegry Ball!" Thankfully, Robert's voice got through to the sleeping Vulpix, waking her up. "Now, Energy Ball, full power!"

"Staryu, Water Gun now!" Misty called out. The two attacks collided, but Farrah's energy ball finally pushed through and pounded Staryu, causing it to faint. "Staryu is unable to battle! Robert wins!" "Robert smiled to his Vulpix. "That was wonderful Farrah. You really pulled us out of the water. Return." Farrah returned to her pokeball in a red light. Misty walked over and met Rob halfway outside the battle area. "You really handled your pokemon well. Though why didn't you use Sable from the start?" She asked. "It's because I wanted to give all of my pokemon some experience. Even through loss, pokemon can grow." Misty gave a nod before handing the Cascade badge to Robert. "Well then, here is the Cascade badge. You've certainly earned it. Unlike one certain trainer here." she glared at Ash. "Hey, I would have won that match anyways, with or without Team Rocket's interferance and you know it!" Ash lashed back. "Robert just stood there and watch. he looked over at Ash's Pikachu. "Are those two always like that?" Pikachu nodded as it sweatdropped.

"So, what are you going to do now?" Ash asked. "Well, I'm going to the pokemon Center to rest up. I'll wait here in Cerulean for Jake. I want to personally see how good a trainer he's become before I move on. Plus I'd like to do a bit oftraining up along the area across the bridge." "You should go and se Bill while you're up there. He's the one who manages the pokemon transfer system that sends your additional pokemon to where ever your pokedex is addressed to." Misty replied. Robert gave a nod. "Thanks. I'll do that."
"I'm going to stay here for a while too. I don't know when I'll start up traveling agian, but if it's after you leave, I'm sure we'll run into each other agian." Ash replied. Rober tgave a nod and smiled. "Sounds good." With that, Robert headed into the pokemon center to take care of his pokemon.

After a nice break and collecting his pokemon from Nurse Joy, Robert heads out across the bridge, only to be confronted by four trainers. "Hey kid, this is Nugget Bridge. You want to cross, you gotta beat all of us in a row. and if you do, those two will give you a prize and free passage across." The first trainer spoke. "But I doubt you'll get by me. Go, Butterfree!" Robert picked his pokeball and released Krystal from her confines. "Go Krystal!"

"Butterfree, use stun spore!" The trainer commanded. "Krystal use gust to blow it back at Butterfree and then go in with Quick Atack!" Beating her wings furiously, Krystal caused the stun spore to stun Butterfree. As Butterfree fell, Krystal struck hard with Quick Attack, fainting the bug. After recalling the fainted butterfree, the trainer stepped aside. "You got past me, but the next one's tougher!"

Robert chuckled a bit to himself. "This is sort of like the Elite Four challenge, only scaled down." The second trainer stepped in and smirked. "And what would a complete loser like you know about the Elite Four?" she asked before bringing out a Charmander. Robert couldn't keep himself from laughing at her words. "I really don't like to brag, but considering I'm the grandson of Agatha of the Elite Four, I know more than you ever will. Let's keep going Krystal!"

"Charmander, Smokescreen!" she called out. Robert remembered his battle with Misty and Seadra. "Krystal, swing out of the smoke towards me and then fly in low with quick attack at Charmander!" With the smoke clouding up the air, Krytal swooped out and down. However, what came next was something Robert didn't expect. Instead of a normal quick attack, Krystal learned how to do Aireal Ace. The brief vanishing act of Pidgey cause Charmander to blink in confusion before Pidgey reappeared and struck hard, sending it back to the female trainer. But what was more, Krystal glowed as she shot up into the sky and through the smokescreen. When the light left her body, she appeared as a Pidgeotto while Charmander lay at its trainer's feet, fainted. "It's not over yet. Go, Magnemite! Thunder Bolt!" Before Krystal could start her downward decent, the bolt struck home, sending Krystal down to the ground. Although she didn't faint, she was in horrible shape. "Krystal, return. Go, Mathias! Use Defense Curl and Rapid Spin!" Robert called as he let his sandshrew out. Mathias jumped up and curled into a ball before then spinning rapidly at the Magnemite.

"Magnemite, Thunderbolt!" The trainer called out. However, it was a wasted effort. The electricity did nothing to Sandshrew as it slamed at full force into Magnemite. "That was a real bonehead move kid. Electricity has no effect on ground types." The girl recalled her now fainted Magnemite and stepped aside.

The third trainer opened up with three pokemon: Beedrill, Beautifly and Ghastly, but all three fell to Lilly's Confusion attacks. The fourth battle was more challenging with a Corsola, a Seedot, a Pidgey and a Digglet, causing Sable to faint and dealing serious damage to Farrah. But finally Robert made it to the two at the end. "Congradulations, you beat the Nugget Bridge Challenge." Said the male who tossed robert a gold nugget. The female then chimed in. "With someone of your skill, we have a proposition to make. We're looking for the best trainers to join the greatest organisation." Robert cocked his head to the side a bit. "And what organisation would that be?" he asked. "Team Rocket, the grandest of all. Where anything can be yours for the taking." The male spoke. Robert grimaced a bit, getting himself ready for battle. "I wouldn't be so high and mighty about that scum. I've dealt with a few of those thugs before and I see how you opperate. I'd never join such a bunch of losers."

Pulling off thier disguises, the two members of team rocket prepared themselves for battle as well.

"To send the world into devistation."
"To rule all people in every nation."
"To denounce the goodness of truth and love."
"To extend our reach to the stars above.'
"Butch."
"Cassidy."
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!"
"Give it up or prepare to fight!"

"So, Biff and Cassidy." Robert snapped. Butch nearly faceplanted into the bridge. "It's Butch you ungrateful child!"
"Bill?'
"Butch!"
"Bob?"
"BUTCH!"
"b***h?"
"....ok.... I'm gonna kill you for that one."

"Go Raticate! Hyper Fang!" Cassidy called out, sending Raticate into action. "Show this punk some manners. Go Mightyena! Shadow Ball!"

"Mathias, Defense Curl and go low with a Rapid Spin at Mightyena! Julia, Colleteral Damage that Raticate!" Robert called out, sending his Sandshrew and Nirodira into battle. As Raticate's teeth came down, Julia raked her claws across the side of its face, causing the teeth to hit the wood of the brisge. The double kick that followed sent Raticate flying , only to become a pin cushion for Posion Sting. Mathias on th eother hand didn't have the same kind of luck. Although defensive curl allowed Sandshrew to plunge through the shadow ball and nail Mightyena, the power of the shadow ball was enough to faint Mathias. However, the rapid spin attack still managed to deal a nasty amount of damage to Mightyena. "Mathias, return! Julia, Double Kick Mightyena!" Before Butch could call off an attack, Julia sent Mightyena flying and fainted at Butch. the two rocket members recalled thier pokemon. "Next time, I'll turn you into roadkill, you hear me kid?" Butch called out as the two began to make thier getaway. "Whatever you say Bilbo!" Robert remarked.

"IT'S BUTCH!" Was all that could be heard as the two made thier getaway

Finally, after that grueling ordeal, Robert made his way to Bill's house. Robert knocked on the door. "Come in!" A voice said from within the house. Robert entered into the house to find a Jigglypuff and a large, two-chambered contraption. "Oh I'm glad someone came. I need help!" The Jigglypuff spoke. "Umm, I know Kirlia can talk to me through telepathy, but how is it that you can talk?" Robert asked. "Well, you see, I was performing an experiment with my partner Jigglypuff to see if I could get inside her mind, but now there's no way I can reverse it by myself! Come, all you need to do is flip that switch when I go inside that chamber. I'd use the switch inside, but it's too high for me to even reach." Robert gave a nod and headed over to the ceter control pannel. Once Jigglypuff had gone inside the chamber and closed the door, Robert flipped the switch. From out of the to chambers, Jigglypuff and a now restored Bill exited. "Ah, thank you very much! So, what can I do for you? My name is Bill by the way. I run the pokemon transfer system here in Kanto." Robert smiled and gave a nod. "Misty and Ash told me I should come down this way ro meet you." Bill gave a nod and smiled. "Well, I'm certainly glad you did. Here, take this as a token of my gratitude." Bill turned around and took from his desk a pokemon egg, handing it over to Robert. "Sure, but I've already got six with me. But of course if I may use your systen, I can send one of my friends to my mother's pokemon ranch." Robert spoke. Bill gave a nod and smiled. "Certainly!" With that, Robert released his pokemon from thier balls. "Ok, who'd like to take a bit of a break and visit my parents and Light?" Out of all six, only Krystal stepped forward. Robert knelt down and scritched his Pidgeotto'sneck. "Alright. have a good time, and don't worry, I'll bring you back to the team whenever I can, ok buddy?" Krytal nodded and nuzzled Robert before going back into her pokeball. Within moments, Krystal arrives at his mother's house and joined Butterfree out in the beautiful open fields of the ranch. Returning Julia, Farrah and Mathias to thier pokeballs, Robert accepted the pokemon egg. "Thank you! Well, I should be going, it's getting dark. It was a pleasure to meet you Bill." With that, Robert left for the pokemon center to heal up his pokemon and turn in for the night.

After a good night's sleep, Robert awoke with his pokemon beside him. Robert prepared some pokeblock from the berries he had picked on the way back to the pokemon center. Robert took a look at his egg and took a soft silk towel to polish it up before looking to Lilly. "It still seems like only yesterday you were an egg like this little one is. And yet you've grown so strong, so fast." Lilly smiled and sat up on Robert's lap, resting her head agianst him. "Only two badges down and six to go. And then if we win the Indigo League Tournament, we'll get to challenge grandma and the rest of the Elite Four. I can't wait to show Grandma how great you and the others are becomming." Lilly gave a nod and smiled. Don't forget, you may be calling us great, but we wouldn't be without you Robert. Robert shook his head a bit. "You know I don't like to grow a big ego. It doesn't suit me well. Anyways, let's get ready for some morning training. I'm going to teach you guys even more combinations." Robert spoke.

As Robert left the pokemon center, he saw several men putting up posters for a pokemon contest being held in two days. Robert loked at his Kirlia and Nidorina. "Hey, how would you two like to try out for a contest?" he asked. Both of them gave a nod to his question. "Great! I'll have to sign us up and see what the rules are. Once I do that, we're going to practice our combinations until we get them down pat." Robert spoke with a smile.

After getting his contest ID and badge case from the pokemon center, Robrt headed back out across the bridge to start pratcicing combination attacks and showy skills for his team.

((By the way everyone, you can have contests go on in whichever Kanto cities you like. Contests aren't as organized as gym battles so its okay if one city has multiple contests throughout the season.

Also, in Vermillion City, there will be a 5 day cruise on the S.S. Anne. This cruise will have 2 official contests and a battling tournament. You can also just relax and whatnot. There will be a Team Rocket encounter here as well. If you wanted to be on this cruise just post it sometime. I just want it to be known so we can slow down when we get to Vermillion City and find things to do there while we wait for everyone to get to the boat. I hope I phrased all of that correctly, if not, just say so and feel free to ask questions about it.))

Jake, Lola, and Tommy ((haha, i think I forgot that he was temporarily traveling with me in the last post.)) entered Mount Moon. Tommy looked up at Jake, "Should I send out Nincada?" Jake shook his head, "Only if you want to. Me and Lola can protect you." Tommy sighed in relief, "Good, because I really don't like battling all that much." Jake and Lola laughed.

The three of them explored the cave a bit, reading the signs to ensure that they didn't get lost. The only pokemon they had seen so far were Zubat, Geodude, and the occasional Paris. None of which interested Jake and Lola. As they came nearer to the latter, leading to the bottom floor, the three of them began to hear the sound of dripping water, and puddles of water which splashed as they walked. Lola seemed confused, "I don't remember Mount Moon ever being known for water pokemon. In fact, in all my trips to the cave to train, the rarest pokemon I've seen was a Clefairy." Jake and Tommy shrugged and kept walking. They turned the corner, surprised by a sudden jet of water being shot at their faces. Jake wiped his eyes and saw that it was a small, round, blue pokemon with a spiral on her belly that had used a water gun attack. He pulled out his pokedex, "Poliwag, the tadpole pokemon. Its skin is so thin, its internal organs are visible. It has trouble walking on its newly grown feet." Lola's eyes widened, "Aww, look at how cute she is!" The poliwag's belly began to spin, causing Lola to fall down sleeping. Jake sent out Oddish, "She's cute...but deadly. Oddish, ingrain!"

Oddish let roots to extend from her head and planted them in the ground. Poliwag spun her belly again. "Oddish, look down and use acid!" Oddish bent down, ignoring the hypnosis attack, then shot a puddle of acid from her leaves. The Poliwag took a step back and then pounced at Oddish, slapping her with her tail. Oddish was being slapped back and forth, taking serious damage. "Oddish, get her off of you with acid and then use absorb." Oddish spat acid at Poliwag, pushing her back. Then Oddish sucked Poliwags health. Lola woke up to see the battle, "Jake, quick! Poliwag is weak, use a pokeball!" Jake pulled out a pokeball and threw it at Poliwag. The ball shook for a while and confirmed a capture as the red light turned off with a ding. Jake sent out Poliwag, "Alright Poliwag, I'm going to call you Jin." Poliwag smiled and jumped up and down. Jake gave Poliwag a potion to healed her and the three of them continued to latter, and entered the bottom floor.

Robert looked Lilly before pulling out a small music box. "For the contest, I'm going to showcase your dancing skills. But this is going to be a much different type of dance that what you'd probably be used to, so we're going to practice. I'm going to show you the moves to use in the contest to this music. But when it comes to the cotest, I'm going to be singing the lyrics and you'll be dancing, alright?" Lilly gave a nod and smiled with excitement. After popping in the tape and starting up the music, Robert began to bust out all sorts of moves while instructing along the way. The music itself was kareoke tape, which would allow Robert to modify the words a bit when the contest came. The dance lessons went on until about lunch time, by which time both Robert and Lilly were exhausted, but at least by then, she was able to get it right for the full song once. "Alright, let's get some lunch, then we'll do the dance two more times to make sure you've got it down pat. After that, Mathias, I'm going to work on a few battle combinations for you. And Sable, there's a move that I saw Ash's pikachu use and I want to see if I can teach it to you."

After a half hour long lunch of berries and pokeblock for his pokemon and a ham and cheese sandwich for himself, and two more dance rehersals, Robert set up a small log for Mathias. "Ok Mathias, I've got two combinations for you to learn. The first is Air Juggle. What I want you to do is hit that log with scratch as hard as you can, but with an upward swipe to send it into the air, then rapid spin upwards as the log is going upwards and just pound away for at least three rotations before kicking yourself out of the roll and back to the ground. Got it?" Robert asked. Mathias gave a nod. It would take Mathias a good two hours and several oran berries for energy recharge before he finally got it right three times. Robert then turned to Sable. "Ok Sable, I want you to try Iron Tail. I want you to use your electricity to harden your tail as much as you can and try to break that rock there. You already saw how Ash's pikachu did it, I want you to try the same way." However, even with a full three hours of training, the most Sable could pull off was getting the tail to harden. She couldn't seem to hold it long enough to reach and damage the rock. "Well, it's progress at least. Let's break for dinner at the pokemon center. After that, a little bit of shopping for a contest outfit for myself and some more pokemeal mix to make more food for you guys. Then when we get back to the room, we'll go over the dance one more time before we go to bed. Also there's one more thing I want to add to the dance, just to make it flashier. And I'll have to teach you that second combination tomarrow Mathias. There wasn't enough time to get it in today." Robert spoke before heading back to the pokemon center.

((Sorry guys. I havn't been able to be on all day. The computer stopped working so I was kind of screwed over. I just remembered that the wii had usb slots. So I'm using my wireless keyboard on the wii. Haha, its kind of cool.))

Jake, Lola, and Tommy continued through Mount Moon, searching for the exit. "Ughh, I don't even know where we are going. Its too dark to read the signs," Jake said. Tommy nodded, "Yeah, and not even Charmeleon's tail will light this place up." Lola sighed. "What's wrong Lola?" Jake asked. Lola replied, "Well, I don't want to be pushy or anything, but there is a contest in Cerulean in two days. I was planning on entering it. But by the looks of it, we will never leave Mount Moon in time for me to practice." Jake frowned, "Ohh, I'm sorry Lola. Here I've got an idea. Come on out Zubat!! ((I forgot Zubat's nickname. Can't open another tab on the wii.))" Zubat was released from her pokeball. "Alright Zubat, use your echolocation to find the exit of this cave. Then we will follow your lead to get out of here by nightfall." Zubat opened her mouth and let loose a supersonic attack. She then led Jake, Lola, and Tommy down the hall.

They had been traveling through the cave for a while when the three of them fell into a pitfall trap. Zubat still flying above them. "Who did this?" Jake asked angrily. Laughter could be heard from above the hole.

To subject the world to demolition.

Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!
Surrender now, or prepare to fight!
"That's right!" They said together.

"You two!?" Jake shouted up the hole. Lola shouted, "We dealt with you back at the museum! Now let us up, we have a child to deliver!" Joan laughed, I don't think so. We're just going to leave you in here. We don't want you getting in our way again of getting what we want." Liam spoke now, "Yeah, the meteor that just crashed in here is all ours! We need it for our studies." The trio groaned. Tommy whispered, "Its okay, Nincada knows dig." Tommy sent out his nincada. "Nincada, dig!" Joan and Liam gasped, "That wasn't part of the plan!" The two of them turned around to the trio who were climbing out of the hole via dig. Lola sent out Squirtle and Jake told his Zubat to prepare for battle. "Alright Liam, I'll take the girl, you take the twerp with the bat!" Joan sent out her newly evolved Mothim. "Alright then, Stunky! Go!" A pokemon Jake had never seen before emerged from the pokeball. Jake held up his pokedex, "Stunky, it sprays a nose-curling, stinky fluid from its rear to repel attackers."

"Stunky, poison gas!" Stunky pointed its but towards Zubat and sprayed a purple gas at her, dealing a small amount of damage. "Zubat, use supersonic!" Zubat opened her mouth and let loose a series of soundwaves, leaving Stunky in a confused state. "Now, dive down and use bite!" Zubat dove down and bit the Stunky. Because of the type matchup, the two weren't dealing large amounts of damage to eachother. "Stunky, use night slash!" Stunky jumped up into the air, missing Zubat by a longshot and then fell to the ground, hitting himself with his own nightslash. "Now Zubat, use air cut!" Zubat flapped her wing, slicing a blade of air hitting Stunky with a critical hit. "Stunky, fury swipes!" Stunky jumped on Zubat, pulling her to the ground and let loose a series of scratches. Zubat managed to get Stunky off of her and took flight again. "Zubat, finish it off with another air slash!" Again, Zubat sent a blade of air at Stunky causing him to faint. Lucky for Jake, Lola's battle had ended at the same time.

"That meteor isn't yours!" Jake shouted. "Fine," Joan said, "Besides, its not the meteor we want, its what's at the center of it that matters to us." Joan and Liam then took off, heading for the meteor. "Come on!" Lola shouted. Zubat used supersonic to find where the meteor was, then led the way for the trio to follow. It was a close race but eventually, Jake, Lola, and Tommy passed up Team Rocket and made it to the meteor first. "Okay, its what is in the center of the meteor that they wanted. Charmeleon, ember!" Charmeleon came from his pokeball and melted the rock ahead of him. The meteor had melted, revealing a small, purple, transparent orb. Team Rocket had just caught up when Jake grabbed the orb and shoved it in his pocket, "Zubat, take us out of here!" They followed Zubat out of the cave, Team Rocket...

After a good night's sleep, Robert and Co. arose with the morning sun. While in his room, Robert made himself and his pokemon excercise and stretch to get them into tip top shape. After a good workout for thirty minutes, Robert took out some resealable bottles of pokemon food that he had whipped up. After all of the traveling thus far, he was able to start blending pokefood specially made for each type. He also fed each one of his pokemon a pokeblock, letting his pokemon choose which block color and flavor they liked best. After that, Robert returned his pokemon to thier pokeballs (With the usuall exception of Lilly and Sable) and went down into the cafeteria for his own breakfast. His cash supply was starting to run low, but with the gold nugget he won from the bridge challenge, a quick trip to the pokemart would solve his cash flow problem. After a hearty breakfast, Robert, Lilly and Sable began to head out of the pokemon center.
