Bahaha, I'll tell you what's wrong with it.
When you look at the plot summar all you see is one massive clump of text.
Even after reading it all, you don't know what's going on AT THAT TIME or the relations of anybody.
I'll tell you how you can fix it though.
If you seperate what happens into arcs (for plot summary) then maybe add a post which details the setting/time and locations of each character or groups and have one showing the relationships of the characters.
THAT would be feckin easy to understand |D Normally i find them redundant in roleplays since it never lasts long enoug to need one but this one I think it would be quite useful for since quite some things happen.
And perhaps it would be useful to get the plotline clear and going as well ^^ I can help out if ya want it's your choice though, really. And then people can just see "ah, these people, i want to align with their side. This is where they are and what they're doin, i'll just make a post to slot them into the same situation."

It's not as easy that, unfortunately. It takes a lot of time to go through everything, read all of the posts and understand everything....then minimize all of that into a summary that isn't as long as the actual roleplay. It's VERY hard work, not to say that you can't do it, just that none of us have had the opportunity. I did start doing the summary, but then Jade took over because I got very busy. I could go through and do it all over again on my days off.....but I'm usually too lazy to do that.

Hehe, tis quite understandable, but you don't have to go super indepth dearies ^^;;
Just a little something that people cna pick up easier on and if you guys have bene reading every single post as hte RP goes (I have not) then it can't be TOO hard right? Once agian, super detailed is not required.
IMO, just one or two lines about where everyone is for each group and the time etc. is all you really need.
Simple as that. I wouldn't mind doing it personally. I've gone on holidays recently and I'm feckin bored |D to the point I've actually returned to RP making~ (evidence in my post history) |D

Ok...um, I haven't had the time............. when it comes to this guild, I'm somewhat of a perfectionist. Plus I always have extremely high hopes and dreams for the guild. Both of these combined mean that if something, as big as a summary of this entire plot-line, is to be made.... then it has to be made with care. Taking into account everyone's feelings at that particular moment in the story. I don't like the single sentence explanation.... exp: Shane digs Aluara. I would much prefer something with a little meaning, something to describe true feeling..... but you know what I always come to in my conclusion?..... THE ORIGINAL POSTS....... they always win...... I want to kill myself every time I type one of those stinkin' summaries. I cannot do it, this is one thing I have to say I can't on. Please don't misunderstand me, I'm not trying to be lazy.... and I'm not trying to be rude to any of you, so I apologize if I come off that way. I just really like this rp..... and I can't imagine anyone being in the rp that didn't feel the same passion that I feel when typing one of these posts. I get to be one of the writers in our own fantasy. The original posts were thought out by the members of this rp. I hate to desecrate those members' words. But I also realize that, in order to keep new members happy, and be able to add more new members in the future, the "In a Nutshell" summary is a necessity. Sorry for getting carried away.... anybody that wants to work on it, may. But in order for clover to work on it, she would have to be made crew as it is posted under myself. Though I'm sure clover has realized this already. So if she wants to take it on... Heavens, J-chan, and I will have to discuss her possible promotion.

Hehe, nah xP It might not look like it with the shodgy dinky posts I'm putting out (not that I'm trying to offend anyone) But I'm actually quite experienced with handling these sort of things, Rps, whatever (SHOCKHORROR)

I'm boss in some, not in others. Moderation is good ;P I'd die if I was the creator in ALL the RP's i'm in.
Following in someone else's tracks every once in a while is nice too =3

Yeah, I agree with the Jade in the summary idea. I'm not usually a big fan of them because I too believe it somewhat takes away from the posts. But in truth I think that a summary is essencial when attempting to expand a role play or guild, which I am more than sure Jade would like to do. In any case, I don't think that one or two sentences aptly discribes what was going on at the time, and this I say not to be rude but because, as the majority of my posts will show, I am big on description. I think it is needed to set the right idea about things.
I'm not trying to bash your idea, Clover, since I understand completely why you feel that way, I just believe that a little more depth is required for a person to truly understand what has taken place and to feel that they know what is going on. Minor details can, inevitably, break down something major. For instance, a role players thought the camp was built on the ground. A seemingly minor detail which changes the scenario entirely.
Like I said, I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just a HUGE fan of honesty even to the point of being considered brutal. I see no reason in hiding how I feel or my opinions. Anywho, if you want to take on the task, Clover, I certainly won't stand in the way. Ok...I might have a few things to say, but that's mostly because I am like you and prefer doing things myself rather than watching someone else take them over. XD I'm a perfectionist and if I had more time I would HAPPILY read back through the posts and summarize as best I could. Sadly life isn't so kind to me, as debt and upcoming university fees are drowning me in a sea of money problems.

What's with everyone trying to make themselves look like a good guy ^^;; No worries! Seriously, honesty and all that slumschum, just say it out and you're just stating to bare facts (not relaly since it's an opinon) but noone can ostracise you for that.
And besides ,i'm sure we know each other well enough that you don't have to reassure us you're not a bad guy ;D

Haha, quite the contrary, Clover. I'm assuring you I AM. In any case, I'm not really worried about being rude or anything like that. It's not really in my personality to worry about that. I just say what I think or feel. It's kind of why a lot of people in real life get frustrated with me....but oddly they still love me. sweatdrop I dunno how I manage that one.
Anywho....to be honest I just like writing a lot. Like I said, I'm a fan of detail. I find it hard and frustrating to write small posts of any kind since I've worked so hard to get where I am today. But it's totally your thing, do it how you think it should be. Like I said before, I might put in some suggestions but I won't tell you how you should be doing it. ^_^

Haha, yeah, gimme short and I'll usually give you slightly less long. Give me long and more often than not I'm writing a little mini novel. XD I wrote a few twelve paragraph posts in a row before when the guy was only posting like three paragraphs. He was a little overwhelmed, needless to say.
