“Ah, that’s much better.” Kail exclaims as he relaxes into the seat. “Poa, please go get me my medicine, it’s in the green house, and see if Basidia has finished her studying. “ The girl nods and runs off down a hallway and up some stairs. One she was out of sight Kail begun to speak. “Well as I already stated Petra and I have gotten hitched. After the events of the wagon trail Petra came to stay with me here in my manor to help me fix it up. Over the year of restoration our love slowly grew for each other, though we did not know it at the time. It took us going our separate ways to realize how much we missed each other…how much we needed each other.” Kail glances over at Petr, hoping he wasn’t embarrassing her too much. Them both being shy people it was hard to talk about there feelings for each other to other peoplr.” Petra went back to Nunnery and I lost myself in my botany research. However it was not long till we found ourselves drawn together again and I left the manor to spend sometime abroad in Petra’s home town. Oh I must have been gone for a year or so. The events that took place there our dear to our hearts, I will not discuss them openly right now, but it lead to our reunion and our marriage.

Kail shifts In the chair to find a more comfortable position. At time’s he seemed a lot older then the 30 years he was. “I guess what is of more concern is what has been ailing me as of late. I uh…” He looked embarrassed again as he glanced over to his wife. This was not new news to her but he still wasn’t out of the dog house for it. “I got a little too much into my research again. You met Poa, yes? She’s a nice girl, a bit naive but knowledge will come to her as her experiences grow. I, uh, created her, using the techniques I developed to build the body that I sealed my sisters spirit away in. See, the problem was I can create living dolls, like Daustua, left and right. But that is all they are. They are physically alive, but are empty inside. I cannot create a soul, and would be in big trouble with Petra for evening thinking about doing such a thing. So I uh…gave her part of my own. I know it was reckless and it almost killed me. But I had to know, if it was possible! If you were a scientist you would understand! And look it what I did! I gave life to my beautiful daughter!” In his excitement Kail began to cough uncontrollably. He motioned for them to stay back. After a few moments it subsided. “I’m alright, I’m alright” Kail let out a sigh. “Needless to say the experiment came with some unfortunate side affects that have led to the deterioration of my health. But I will fix it. I have already given Petra my word…it will just take some time.

Her shaking and tears subsiding, Petra stands silently by as Kail explains their connections--and blushes furiously at Vincent's comment.

"Don't think I haven't expressed that very thought to him, Vincent!" she cries, suddenly incensed. "Sometimes I think that he--" She breaks off, abruptly conscious of her audience. She lowers her eyes, and her expression twists in irritation. "Nonetheless, he persists in creating the girls. Lovely as they are, their nascency may be the death of him yet!" Real fear and horror color Petra's features as she looks down at her beleaguered husband. She clutches his shoulder a little too hard, knuckles whitening. The spell over her breaks, and she looks shakily up at Vincent.

"It's so nice to see you again," she whispers, her quivering lip belying her sudden composure. "Hopefully we can put this ugly episode behind us so you can enjoy your visit." Her voice is very soft, but halting, and she seems again on the verge of tears.

"She can be quite the excitable child..." Vincent comments with a chuckle, "Sure, I think I can manage to play with a child for a few hours without too much collateral damage." Vincent laughs at this and looks at Poa, "Mind showing me to Basidia so I can deliver the news myself?"

"His own inquisitive nature is the cause of this. You did not ask for this." Vincent stops her for a moment as he places his hand on her shoulder, "I'll be bluntly honest, Basidia and your "births" are what triggered his current state. But he knew, or at least hypothesized, that his condition would have been a side effect of his experiments. Most importantly though, you two are his pride and joy. He speaks highly of you both, and I know that he loves you. But you should never blame yourself for what happened. I know and he knows that given the choice you would have spared him this for any price. I think that more than anything makes him all the more glad for the both of you, and is what drives him even more to find a cure for his...lack of insight, we'll say."

"It's good to see you again, Basadia. And yes, your father did send me to play with you. After all it has been a while since we've seen each other." Vincent let's out a light-hearted chuckle as he bends more toward Basadia's level. "So," Vincent asks, "What are you reading?"

"Hahahaha!" Vincent lets out a hearty laugh, "You seem so frazzled all of a sudden, Poa. So, Basadia - I take it you've learned quite a bit from your father since I've seen you last?" Vincent suddenly looks up as a large explosion comes from somewhere between Bellamin's place and the tavern off in Miyr proper. "I'm sorry, Basadia. It seems there is something I must attend to..."

((This is my way of bringing the last of the old Vincent to rest. Next time he comes here he'll be the "new"-and-not-so-improved Vincent.))

For the size of the Lounge Eulalie now stood in the place seemed rather empty. Servants of the house occasionally walk past ignoring her. It takes you a moment to realize it that you can see through them! After a while a man with an ancient face in stylish suit approaches you. "Can I help you miss?" You notice he almost unnoticeably transparent like the rest of the people you have seen so far.
