John Henry Irons That'd be a great What If : What if Bruce Banner had been trained as a ninja? Hmmm ... yes ... How many What If titles have there been? Crazy and cooky things happen in those particular universes. . . As to the pictures up front, I saw Spidey and DD, but no Sandman, seeing as he was an actual Avenger and the others being of a come and go statuse, wouldn't it make sense to have Flint there as well. It would be good to see him in something besides Identity Disc anyway.

I am posting this because it is important, and something that should be brought up. Richard_Rider found it, so that is another reason why he needs to be voted into this guild ... Richard_Rider Oh man...I'm having second thoughts about posting this, sweatdrop as it may start some serious debates, but here goes. I just found out Wizard and Marvel are having a contest. The contest is simple: guess who the new Avengers are. They have given hints as to who they are. Hints: 1. To know her is to her is to fear her. 2. Danny’s friend. 3. Tobey or not Tobey 4. He’s the member you don’t remember. 5. Hugh could it be? I really, REALLY wish I was making this up, but anyone can check Wizardworld. xd xd xd xd xd These are my thoughts on the subject: 1. Elektra - She's a ninja, she kills folks, and Bendis' belief that the Avengers should be more like the JLA would force the most popular woman arguably in here, so she get's my vote. 2. Powerman - "Danny's friend" could be Luke Cage, Powerman, since he was good friends with Daniel Rand, aka Iron Fists 3. Spiderman - "Toby" Macguire played him in the movies 4. Sandman - No one remembers that Sandman was an Avenger, but this might just be my own whim, this could be a lot of other people, especially someone with the ability to wipe other people's memories, which is my second choice, even though I don't know any Avengers that could do that. 5. Wolverine - "Hugh" Jackman played him in the movies Let's here you'se guys' thoughts.

I'd agree with your choices of Spiderman, Wolvie, and Elektra, and I think Richards idea of Gilgamesh also makes sense. Some of the clues are pretty obvious, guess we'll have to wait and see how this plays out.

Agreed. Rich also brought up the point of how Bendis is writing the Secret War, and it has Wolvie, Spidey, and Powerman in it, and I think Elektra as well. Another wonderful point to add to all of this.

Regarding the possible new Avengers, I think the Black Widow will be chosen before Elektra. Elektra is a loner and has never really done the group thing. Frankly, I'm convinced that joining a group would be out of character for her. The Black Widow on the other hand.., she just finished a two-parter with Hawkeye. She's in the middle of a four-parter with Daredevil, is a key factor in the new Ultimate Nightmare limited series, and has her own six issue limited series due out next month. Marvel is exposing her for a reason. They either plan on giving her her own regular title, or they plan on having her join the cast of one of their more popular titles, and since she's already a well-known former Avenger..,
