Silver tried to sum things up - more for herself than anything. "Alright then. Kale, Marissa, and Lesh go to the surface and Caroline lures the people away from the altar... I guess that means you and I will grab Aisrhan and Anezka." This second part was spoken to Valelldia. She nodded to herself. Everyone had something to do. "Okay, but where do we meet up when we get out? I don't want anyone to get left behind..."

"Sounds good. I'll...meet you all there." She took Lesh's hand and guided it up behind her neck. "You okay, Lesh? Just follow me." Gulping slightly, she took Lesh and Kale back up the stairs, though the main hall and out the front door. Slowly, she shut it with a click.

Venturing along her friend's footsetps from earlier, she found Emelyn and the strange man in the brush with the children. She knelt, helping Lesh to do so. "She's blind, but otherwise okay," she explained quickly. "We've got a plan. If all goes well, the group of us should be out here with you soon."

Leaving her friends, she ventured again to the house. Slowly, and squinting in the dark, she walked around the perimeter, looking for anything she could use to climb. Almost missed, but caught by a second glance was an arbor, rather rickety and covered in ivy. It was the best she had to go by. Quickly she untied laces in the front of her shirt and slipped a nervous Kale inside, lacing it up again so that only his head was left emerged. She knew she looked ridiculous, but this was the time for vanity. With a deep breath, she began her dangerous ascend.

She'd been startled to see Marissa come out of the shack, holding up Lesh as she went- her first thought was a seizing grip of fear, that the woman had been hurt. But she was almost as fearful with the quick explanation of her blindness. And when she was left alone with her blind friend and the man that was a stranger, they told her to leave.

She was... reluctant, to say the least, to leave her child with Veshengo, not knowing him- but Lesh obviously trusted him, and that was enough, so she gave up her son to them, swallowing her trepidations.

"Please take care of him," she whispered, "he's my life." And then she gathered up the skirts of her nightgown and hurried down into the darkness.

Caroline's own eyes hold a sort of rapture as she holds the belt with bells. "It's beautiful, Val," she whispers reverently. Quietly, she folds it up and puts it in her sack. "When shall I go up?" She asks. She'd wait until she was up toward the door to change. No way they'd hear the quiet jingling over their chanting until she started pounding on the door.

"Yes, Val gave her some sort of supernatural sight so that she could help us locate the children and another way into that room." She gestured to the door before them. "It worked, but unfortunately, the consequence of using this power is blindness. But, it's only temporary, and she will be able to see again in the morning." Silver returned Em's hug. "I know. I just hope everything goes according to plan... oh, you probably don't know about that either." She paused to look across the dimly lit hall at Valelldia and Caroline. "Marissa and Kale went to look for a hole in the roof, so the people in there," she waved a hand toward the door again, "will be distracted long enough for Caroline to get inside... She's going to lure them out by dancing with some magical bells Val gave her." Silver sighed. "And then we go in and grab the children."

Veshengo paced back and forth quietly, then crouched down, lightly putting his hands on Lesh's shoulders. "Don't be scared Leshya'e..." he said, instinctively sensing her increasing fear, "Everything will be fine" He kneeled down next to her and slipped his arm around her shoulders. "They will save the children...they will return...everything will be fine."

[Eek, omg don't go ahead withouutt mee. XDD *waves hands* Wait up! Haha, I hate being so busyy.]

They're on the roof. Marissa, with a deep breath, readies herself to cause the first distraction. She almost immediately finds the hole they're looking for, it's about the size of a textbook and covered with an iron vent. She removes Kale from her busom and, gripping each edge, pulls it off with a loud, grating sound. Even know she knows the noise is intended, the thought of getting the attention of such scoundrels picks at her nerves. She hears voices.

"What the 'ell issat?!"
"I don't know, you flat-headed nimrod. It was probably a stick or summit' on the roof. Shut up and keep them chanting."

Kale, before his mother could stop him, stuck his head down the hole and barked.

"THAT izzn't no damn stick. Hey, thur's a dog on the roof! Git down from there, you dirty mutt!"
"Don't scream, idiot! Just...shoot it."

Before Marissa had time to react a crossbow bolt whistled though the opening. Kale yelped and jumped back; immediately he was swooped up in his mother's arms and they ran as fast as they could. Making as much noise as she could by stomping and kicking the roof, she made her way down. Hopefully that bought Caroline the time she needed.

Swiftly she ran to the small clearing. She saw Lesh and the mystery man and hid beside them. "Distraction one a sucess, as far as things go, I mean, they even started shooting at--"

Kale began wimpering in her arms. Marissa looked down, and fer faced turned stricken. His left paw was pierced through by the bolt's arrow, the end torn neatly less than an inch from his fur. He licked it pathetically.
