Calum shrugged, pondering on if legs were indeed attractive. At least in his opinion. So far he wasn't really getting anything, though the reason for that could be that he's staring at his own legs. And well, it'd just be creepy if he founds his own legs attractive. He slid his gaze over to Syd's legs.

Syd looked ahead, watching thinks come into veiw as he grew closer, the night hindering his vison only slightly. He looked over to Calum, about to say something, before he saw that the man was looking down, at his legs. Syd blushed, quickly looking to a tree, then to the sky, seeing the stars. He liked this place, even though there were no big cities. And, it was partially this reason he liked best. At night, it seemed you could see the whole galaxy, he'd never seen so many stars in his life.

When his mind finaly settled on a conclusion, Calum nodded to himself. There would be more to think about later, but what he decided up was fine for now. He went back to looking around, his mind mapping what he could see of the woods. His ears twitched when he heard something leaping up above in the tree tops. "Flying squirrel?"

Syd tapped his un-injured fingers against his leg, getting nervous with a multitude of thoughts running through his head. He reached in his pocket, touching the cigarette package, "Mind if I smoke?" He said, pulling out the cigarette pack and the lighter. His ears flicked, and he looked up, "Flying squirrels...are creepy." He said, frowning a little.

"No, I don't mind." Calum's eyes darted from tree to tree, trying to catch sight of the animal as it noisily moved from branch to branch. "Why do you say that?"

Syd smiled, pulling out a cigarette, placing it in his mouth and lighting it. Inhale, let the smoke flow over your tounge and your throat, don't mind the bitter taste, once it gets into your lungs, feel it ease over you. Exhale, feel it go through you again, up through your throat, out your nose. Repeat. He shrugged, "Eh, I don't know...squirrels...are just creepy." He laughed, "Actually, you know...kind of got creeped out on them because I'd gone without sleep for a few days and one night, while I was walking home, right outside my house, there were like, six, gathered around this tree, and when I came walking up, all of them stared right at me with those...creepy beady eyes. So...naturally, a flying squirrel would be even creepier." He looked up, "But I guess they're kind of cute."

A voice echoed in Calum's head, shouting about how squirrels were agents working for Martha Stewart and the Telletubbies. Collecting info that would be used to open a series of crappy department stores and take over the world. He smiled at the memory and gave up searching the tree tops. It's to dark to see anything anyways. "Reminds me of a friend of mine, though your reason for finding squirrels creepy makes much more sense."

Sydney laughed, "Squirrels were the reason I got a dog...actually...I didn't even want a dog, this old guy who was my neighbor was moving in with his daughter and his dog had one puppy, and he couldn't keep either of them so he gave me the puppy and I think he gave the dog to his son or something..." He shrugged, "Hehe, I guess he felt sorry for me living all by me onsies."

"What type of dog was it?" Calum's hand twitched, but not because of the usual reasons. It twitched this time because there was a mosquito biting it. He brought his other hand down on the bug, squishing it with a slap.

Syd thought for a moment, "I don't know...collie or something..." He shrugged, "I don't know, it doesn't matter to me. I'm not into predigrees or whatever." He watched, flinching as he saw Calum's hand land on the bug.

Great, now his hand was going to itch. The urge to chew on the area that itched, like a dog, rose up. But Calum quickly shoved the urge back down. He scratched at it, careful not to cut himself with his sharp claws. "What time do you think it is?"

Syd ran a hand through his hair, moving it out of his face, even though it would eventually fall into place. He sighed, a plume of smoke escaping his mouth, and he thought, unsure of the time, "Uh...late? People were sleeping at my house...the only two that were awake were the ones who stay up until three." He tried to concentrate, but for somereason he had an odd Turkish song stuck in his head, wondering where it'd came from. He looked to his side, the that Calum wasn't on, and saw Dreville, walking along with him and looking ahead. He looked ahead too, "Maybe ten...? Eleven...?"

Calum nodded his head, it might not be as late as he thought then. Perhaps it was time to consider buying a watch. He ducked a low hanging branch and continued to scratch his hand.

Syd sighed, smoking more before tossing his cigarette on the ground and snuffing it out. He stuck his hands in his pockets, walking silently with Calum...and, well, Dreville too. Soon, she dissapeared suddenly, and, thinking it was strange, Syd looked to the side of her. Out of the blue, the flying squirrel from before came hurtling torwards him, whomping him in the face and making him fall back, torwards Calum.

Pure instinct took over, Calum's arms shot out to catch the falling Syd. His mind trying to wrap around what just happened.
