Problem is, Microsoft is delivering almost everything that the PS3 is missing, and could potentially have a Blu-Ray add-on in the near future.

I really don't see that happening. That's been Sony's thing from the get go, and M$ doesn't strike me as the type to add on the format of their bitter rival. It'd be funny to see the look of horror on the extremist 360 fanboys faces though...
Won't happen? Do you really expect MS and Nintendo to use conventional DVDs when the 8th generation of consoles starts rolling into stores? It might be a little longer, but MS can endorse Blu-Ray now without actually supporting Sony. Even if Sony gets money for every disk sold, it still IS the next disk format, with nothing else to choose from. From MS's point of view, they could possibly get a player add-on for $150 at some point, which would be far cheaper than buying a Blu-Ray player or PS3 for Blu-Ray movies IF you already have a 360.

I didn't say not next gen. I said the 360. Not the...whatever they'll call the next one.
eek Ha, oh man I keep forgetting you've gotta buy everything else for the 360. Was HD an add-on too for the 360? I wanna say so but...I'm not sure.

EDIT: Yes I was being overly dramatic with the "everything" comment.

And we'll say "Cause Sony let you use it after they killed your HD!"

And they say "Na uh!"

And Tango will pull out a hilarious Fail picture.
