That's right! That's why I didn't like promoting to Assassin. Although it probably doesn't matter much, since you can usually only steal Vulneraries or Elixirs anyway...

There's a guiding ring on a sniper the chapter after you get the contract. SO I always just gave the contract to the thief (usually Legault) and as soon as I stole the ring promoted him.

Wow, let's see. It's been a while since I did a complete play-through but I can remember the last one. Rebecca was godly. Especially if you give her Uhai's bow. (Forgot the name) Pent owns. Yes, I do choose to use Pent, though I am going to try Nino out and see how that goes. Oswin is a beast. Don't know what I would have done without him. Marcus is pretty good as well. Erk is pretty decent. Never really bothered leveling him when I had Pent. Vaida was okay. Nothing compared to Cormag, but that's a different game. Heath does come in at a bad time, so I never really bothered with him. Jaffar. Is. God. Give him the Regal Blade and he just cuts down everything. Florina was also good.

You know, one thing I don't get about FE7... how is it that so many people love Lyn, yet hate Eliwood? Yes, Lyn crits a lot. ...With the Mani Katti! What exactly can you do with her once that sword runs out of uses? All you can have her wield without her losing 5+ Speed is a lousy Iron Sword, and with her mediocre strength, she'll kill NOTHING. Not in one turn, at least. And yes, she does have speed, but she's got virtually no Defense and not much Res or HP to show for it. And like I always say, fancy movements around the screen and a 30% crit chance is no match for 28 Defense and a sturdy lance at your side. Now, Eliwood may not have that 28 Defense, but he's still more durable then Lyn and has better Strength to boot. In fact, I think at least the last time I played, he was excellent. I believe he only suffers from requiring babying at the beginning to level up and the fact that he's the last to promote if you go with Eliwood's version of the game

I don't understand that either Rhys. I prefer Eliwood and think Lyn is overrated. And he doesn't have to promote last on Hector's route 3nodding .

From what I've heard about Micaiah, Lyn does sound like the best female Lord character-wise, at least. (But they still have yet to show me a female Lord that wows me.)
True, on Hector's route he doesn't... but then Hector's the one who misses out on the xp. And let's face it, Hector>Eliwood. Sure, Hector's not that accurate, but he's strong and hard to damage. That's a win in my book.

Rhys if im right people love lyn (me too) its because like jaffar shes impossible to touch just like rath once you get them to level 20 speaking of which the fight before the final fight (limstella as a boss) you should send lyn, rath and barte over to the bottom right and hold off the invading nomad troops and wyverns (keep rath on one of the forts and keep Barte on the forest in between the wyverns and place lyn anywhere send raven up the middle where the Swordmaster is and where all those other wyverns go to and i send my SUPER MAGIC FORCE and hector and jaffar upwards towards renault (super magic force= Pent high level, Erk cause he becomes better than pent and Nino if you were cheap and used the mine trick (which involves placing a mine and when the unit enters it it takes damage you turn off you system and start it up again and resume once you resume you control THE ENTIRE ENEMY TEAM you therefor make them drop all their weapons and make the boss easier to kill by making the boss rescue someone so when i did this at the shrine of seals i made Nino a level and did the same with matthew as an assassin the person i killed Lyyod with was Matthew cause i used erk and Karel to weaken him. HOLY SHITE ANOTHER LENGTHY POST SORRY FOLKS

In the level where he's an NPC, Jaffar's not impossible to touch. I've definitely seen him get killed by those enemies once before I could even reach him.
Sure, he and Lyn might be human blurs by Endgame, but until then there's at least a 50% chance (on average) to hit them for at least half their HP, and even then to ensure that nobody's going to hit you, you're going to want a good Wind support and terrain. And of course, at Endgame, you have all those morphs with those godly weapons. And the Fire Dragon? Sure, here evasion>defense, but chances are they won't do one HP of damage.
Plus, even with all that speed, like I said, Lyn's Con is terrible. All the speed in the world doesn't do you any good if all you can wield is an iron sword, and you barely have 20 Str to boot. (Not to mention 10 Def, if that.)

and during the Lyn mode did you give the angleic robe to her?

She's not entitled to it, especially when you have people like Serra, Erk, and Florina around. Not using it helps you earn the White Gem later on, which can help you out more anyway.
I'm feeling very tempted to write a long rant about why Eliwood isn't below Lyn (and might be above her). If anyone would want a debate about it, let me know.

You can create cavalry charges against each other, but I draw the line at airplane bombing runs. I wasn't aware that not using the robe gets you a White Gem later, though...

You know the gem you get in Noble Lady of Caelin? Well the type of gem it is depends on the ranks you got in Lyn Mode (not sure if it requires complete S-Rank or just a 5 in Funds for a white gem, but either way, not using the Robe helps and both are easily attainable).
And I wouldn't attack a debater, just their character. twisted (unless they started implementing favoritism into the debate.... then I'd get nasty)

I had no idea. I always just used the robe and energy ring so that Lyn wouldn't suck in the later chapters.
I started adding favoritism, but that was after it was a draw and it was okay for me to goof off on it. sweatdrop You probably would've beat me without anything added to what you said if you hadn't decided it was more trouble than it was worth. Heath was already on your side, as was that random dude.
