((TO RAISIN-KINS))
The professor took the rice ball and then threw it at Layla, who almost totally broke the poor thing. Luckily all was well. She rolled her eyes and went into the back room. The professor just smiled at Rennie and said, "Well, you'll be surprised, that's for sure. Now, you must decide what you want to do. For I have to go now. I'll be talking to you later. Go to Layla with anything else you need from here on out. Farewell." he said. With that, he got up, and somewhat jogged back into the back room. As he opened the door, Layla stepped back out and sat back down on her chair. What would Rennie do now?
((TO SAMURI))
As the doors swung shut, and the man approached the counter, Layla was still trying to find her other ear piece that had fallen off her MP3 player a few moments earlier. It was somewhere under the desk, and she was on the ground searching for it. She realized he was there, but did nothing. That was until she finally found her piece. "Aha! Here we are!" she said, getting up from her place on the floor to standing up and saying, "Hello, welcome to the PI Agency. How can I help you?" she stated in her usual, happy, go lucky tone.

Shah hadn't seen her behind the desk despite how he had leaned over. Her voice caught him off guard, causing him to flinch and move slightly back as she stood up. "You've been there all that time?" He asked with an questionable look. Had she ignored him? Sure he had only been standing at the desk for a few minutes but time was precious and Shah didn't take likely at being ignored. Especially since he was the one who had gone out of his way to get this bow of theirs.
He stared at the girl, she wasn't that Thorn guy. He was...well...a guy. This chick was probably his secretary or something. Her happy tone bothered him, he was never one for girls who ALWAYS sounded happy. It brought back bad memories, really bad memories. It almost made him cringe if he hadn't held back the urge to do so.
Shah shook his head gently, shooing away his question. His hand lifted up to stop her from answering if she intended to. "I'm here to see this guy, Thorn." He said with a bored expression. This girl was pretty but not his type. Besides, knowing Krisha, she probably had some birds watching him in case he tried to tap some a**. He wouldn't, he would never. No matter how tempting the thought was. "I got a letter from the smug, professor, right? Yeah, anyway, he wanted me to get him a bow and bring it here. So, here I am. Where's my reward?" He asked, pulling the bow out of hi pocket and dropping it onto the desk. He wanted to be in, out, and down. He awaited the girls answer with a stare that dared her to do anything other then give him his reward.

Layla just stood there and said, "Yes, I have. I'll be right back. You must be Shah Wallace." She nodded and then ended with another smile, she turned around, rolled her eyes, and walked into the back once more. She had done this for her uncle at least ten to twenty times in just the few weeks that her and her sister had moved in. She then came back out a few seconds later and said, "He'll be right with you. Please, have a seat." She smiled one last time and pointed at the chairs in the middle of the room, then turned to her seat, sat down, and began reading her magazine like always. A new magazine every day pretty much. She put her MP3 player back in her ears and went back to what she normally does.
A few moments later, a man in a lab suit came out of the door. "Hello Shah. My niece has told me of your arrival. Please, have a seat. If you have any questions, I am Professor Thorn." he said, sitting in his designated seat as always.

Shah didn't care much for what the girl said, he watched her leave and return a few seconds later. He picked up the bow back into his hands and headed to the chairs. If he was going to wait, which he really didn't feel like doing, he'd sit down. Besides, he didn't want to hear that girls voice again or any more then he needed. It was too happy for him, he didn't like it.
Shah sat in one of the seats and twirled the bow around his fingers as he thought to himself. He was bored, he wanted to go home but he needed this reward before he could do anything. Shah wasn't one for surprises and he hadn't gotten this bow if it hadn't been such a simple task. He didn't like waiting, without knowing what was coming next. He began to tap his fingers lightly against the arm of the chair as the minutes ticked by. The soft sound his fingers created grew louder and more annoyed the longer he sat there. Shah wasn't a man of patience.
Finally, a man with white hair, glasses and an overall mad scientist impression appeared. Of course, he didn't exactly look like a mad scientist, it was just Shah's own opinion. He always thought people with white lab coats looked like mad scientist. This was, perhaps, one of the reasons why he disliked going to the doctor. He had bad experiences with people wearing white lab coats or white coats in general.
"Already sitting Doc." Shah said to him as Thorn offered him a seat. "Yeah, no real questions. Whatever you do with this bow is up to you. I'm here for that reward." He said with a small wave of his hand as he tossed the bow to Professor Thorn. "So, where is it?" He asked. Shah wasn't going to beat around the bush.

He grunted slightly in reply to that, shoulders hunched and sighed just a bit as he looked up at the ceiling to try and decide his next course of action. He should probably call work to say he wasn't coming in, at least, and one hand was digging into his pocket for his cellphone. He looked over at Layla a little expectantly before giving an awkward cough and clearing his throat.
"Uh-- Could you, um, point me in the direction of the rooms, then?"

Professor Thorn laughed slightly as he sat. He was thrown the bow, which he tucked away neatly in his coat pocket. He saw how Shah was, and smiled. This was perfect for his experiments. A rather impatient person was going to be perfect for Professor Thorn to examine in the efforts of taking care of the reward that was to be given.
He smiled at Shah, looking at him and saying, "You will receive your reward in due time. You will need to wait over night here. There is a room set up for you and it is ready for you whenever. I am not in the mood to answer any questions, if you have any, please direct them to my secretary." he said, emphasizing the word 'wait' just to see the reaction on Shah's face. He smiled, stood, took the bow in tight hand, and went into the back room without another word. Layla sat there awaiting for any other questions he may have. She sat there in her chair however, with one of the speakers out.
((RAISIN))
Layla smiled and pointed to the elevator. "It's on the third floor. Those are the rooms. Here is your room key. Your room has your name engraved on the gold plate next to the door. You'll find it." she said, far, far to lazy to actually get up to hand him the key, so she just threw it at him. Then she went back to listening, if he had any other questions, he was free to ask as well.

He caught the key easily with one hand, although an eyebrow had quirked upwards just slightly at the whole engraving thing. This place was getting creepier by the minute, but he nodded and gave a small grunt of thanks as he headed towards the elevator. He was already dialling his manager by memory, and by the time the elevator doors were opening he was already calling in sick, his voice going a little hoarse around the corners to sound that much more believable.

By now Shah had gotten comfortable in his chair. His elbow laid on the arm rest as he leaned up against it, his head in hand as he stared at Professor Thorn as he spoke. He noticed him laughing but he didn't care for his reason, he did care for what he said next.
Wait? He wanted him to wait some more? Who did he think he was?! Shah sat up straight at an even pace, he shook his head with a smile as he began to speak. "Hold on Doc..." He began to say but the man didn't stop speaking. He kept going before he was up and walking away. "Hey! Wait a minute!" Shah said angrily as he stood up and followed after him. The urge to grab the guy and fling him across the room was strong. The b*****d wouldn't stop moving!
Just as Shah had gotten close enough to him he moved behind the front desk and through the back door to where ever it was that he had came. Shah didn't stop there though. He followed after him, moving behind the front desk to the door behind it. "Excuse me." He said out of pure bitterness as he shoved Layla and her chair out of the way.
He wasn't done with Thorn yet, he was no where near done.

((Raisin, all you must do now is go to the bedroom, and sleep. =] And once the morning hits, you will get a message in your Journal, signifying that you have made it to the next stage. =]))
((SAMURI))
Professor Thorn gave no indication of even allowing him to talk. He just kept on walking. He went back and shut the door behind him. Unless one had the electronic key, there was no passing. Only him, and his two nieces had the keys. As the door shut, and Shah had already pushed Layla back, she did not take that very kindly. "Hello!?" was all she said as she took her stance against Shah. She stood up and slapped his back with all the force she could.

Shah froze as Layla's hand made contact with his back. A loud slapping sound echoed softly throughout the empty lobby and Shah stood still. His hand reached over to the door as it to grab its door knob and pull it open. He stood there for a few seconds, in that stance before straightening up and turning around. He was a good couple inches taller then this girl, Shah loved the advantage of being six feet tall.
He stared down at her, questioning if her slap was out of impulse or not. What was her name? He didn't know it, neither her or Thorn had told him. It didn't matter, he didn't care anyway. "That hurt." He said, staring at her with an expression that was too calm for comfort. He stared at her for a couple more seconds, watching her and seeing if she'd do anything else. He took a step forward, "What's your name?" He asked her. Raising an eyebrow as he waited for her answer.

Layla instantly froze and almost became quite fearful. She hadn't ever needed to purposefully hurt one of her uncles guests. She hadn't ever needed to use self defense or any kind of offensive moves against anyone. How could she even do that? "I...am so very sorry sir. It was just out of complete fear. My uncle only lets me and my sister into his lab. No one else is allowed in. I'm Layla. Layla Leemaan. I really am sorry. If you'd like, you can stay over night here, or come pick up your reward in the morning. Look, we've even given you a room to stay in while you are here. Take your key. Your room is on the third floor, it has your name engraved on a golden slab on the side of your door." she said. She could not understand why she had done anything that she just had. She placed the key on the desk right in front of her, and tears began to run down her face as she sat back in her chair and cried.

"Oh please." Shah said, obviously angry with this girl. She was crying?!? This girl was pathetic!! You don't slap someone on the back and immediately apologize and burst into tears. Didn't she have a backbone? Any bravery in that bubble gum chewing, magazine reading head of her's? He watched her as she sat there crying to herself, the back of the chair pointing to him so he couldn't see her face. He rolled his eyes at her as he moved around the desk and picked up the key.
Shah stared at her for a moment he picked up the keys. He didn't want to deal with this now, he didn't want to deal with this idiot Thorn and this cry baby. If he didn't get the reward tomorrow he'd deal with all of this drama but right now he was no longer in the mood. The worst part was that he felt kind of bad for making this girl cry. Layla was hr name right? He could hear Krisha scolding him to apologize, he could feel her hand slapping the back of his head hard. Or her boots...well...yeah...
"Hey kid." Shah said, leaning forward and pulling her chair so it swung around and faced him. He flicked her on the forehead as well to gain her attention. "Next time you hit someone, hold your ground. Cry babies just piss me off." Shah said, staring at her as if she was a burden. He half sighed as he spoke before he pulled away from the desk. "You guys have an elevator in this place?" He asked, staring around. "If you're playing me I won't be so nice next time." He warned with a smirk. It wasn't a simple smirk, it warned and threatened. He was serious about that.

Layla instantly stood up, wiped the tears from her face, and said, "Well, there is the elevator right over there for one. Or the stairs if you'd rather use those. It's on the third floor, so that's all you need to know. You're name is there. Just have a good night." One could obviously tell she was still upset, the crying had stopped, but it was almost to the point where she could burst back out into tears any second. She didn't however. She took the apology and moved on. She stood there, pointing at the elevator and the stairs for a while. All Shah would have to do now is stay over night and the next morning, poof, reward.

Shah wasn't sure if she had taken his apology or not. She looked just about ready to burst into tears if he said another word to her. He stared at her for a few seconds, debating what to do. He didn't exactly care what she had done, that slap didn't hurt all that bad anyway. He had experienced much worst things in his life. "Yeah okay." he said with a shrug. He spun the keys around on his finger as he walked towards the stairs, he didn't feel like waiting for the elevator.
He didn't know what to say so he wouldn't say anything. Best not to make matters worst by saying something stupid, which Shah was most likely to do. Still, he did feel a little bad about leaving her there. A little. Krisha's kindness was getting to him. Damn, he missed her. Shah sighed, rubbing his forehead for a brief moment before continuing up to the third floor of the building. This was going to drive him crazy, he'd have to do something about that girl. Later, much later.
Shah found the room with his name upon the door. He slipped the key inside and walked in. He glanced around, surprised that this was free. "Nice." He said as his eyes scanned around the area. He dropped himself onto the couch and kicked his shoes off.
No rent? He could get used to this.

[NEW RP]
Once Erikk had finally found the place of interest. He walked straight in, and went to the counter. The guitar free in his hands. "Hello. I'd like to see the Professor. I'm supposed to give him this guitar and get some reward? I got a letter." he said smiling, handing the letter to the girl at the desk.
