Lovell chuckled, glad that she had come up with something better than chocolate.
"Well that's good, I don't really care for chocolate either. We'll go with coffee."
He too looked back at the red stripe on his shirt. He thought it strange, but definitely cool that she could see it.
"Well that's cool you can see red." He chuckled. "I guess if I ever give you anything, I'll make sure that it's red. Red's a good color..."

Eidel grinned and narrowed her eyes at his last statement about if he ever gave her something. "I suppose red is my favorite color. Considering it's the only one I see besides black, white, and gray," she laughed.

He laughed.
"Well, I'll make a mental not of that. I guess I'd have to say it's one of my favorite colors as well."
He stopped and looked around. They had reached the spring, and it looked wonderfully refreshing.
Lovell sighed and pointed in it's direction.
"Well, here we are, My Lady." He winked at her as he had brought his knight role back into play for a moment.

Eidel couldn't help but smile at him now. "Thank you kind sir." She looked at the spring and then dipped her paw in. "Nice and cool," she commented before bending down to take a drink. "Ahh.." she sigh and took another drink. She the sat on the water's edge and watched him.

"Isn't it?" he said with a smile, as he too bent down to take a drink.
"You know, the spring is always the same temperature. It never changes, despite the temperature of the air outside. So that's why it's still cool in the middle of the summer."

She eyed him curiously. "Pretty smart. And just how do you know this?" She laid down and swirled her paw in the perfectly clear water. She looked down to the bottom, wondering if there were any fish living in there.

He grinned.
"Because, this is a natural spring. The water comes from underground, from something called an aquifer. The water is the temperature that it is underground where the aquifer is. This water is pure too, good for drinking." He bent down and took another long drink. The water wasn't very deep were they were, but he knew that farther out into the water it got very very deep. Out there the water didn't look as clear, because of the depth. He secretly wondered if anything lurked beneath the surface there.

She listened to him carefully, keeping her eyes on the water. "Well I'm impressed," she said finally as she looked up at him and grinned. She stood and moved closer to him. Put a paw gently on his arm and stroke it; she put her other on his chest. "I think.. maybe..possibly...you might just be too smart for your own good." She eyed him deviously and then shoved him into the water.

He grinned and looked down at her intensely, almost purring as she stroked his chest. Then, without warning, he was shoved into the water.
He came up, a bit surprised, but then smirked, and grabbed her, pulling her in with him.

"Ahh!" she yepled as she was pulled in as well. She went under for a moment then resurfaced. She glared at him, pretending to be angry. Not that she hadn't been expecting him to do something to get back at her. She tackled him and tried to push him under. "How do you know I can swim? What if I drowned?" she said with a slight smile.

He chuckled and tried to avoid her as she tried to push him under.
"I didn't know if you could swim, which is why I didn't let go of you until I realized that you could." He smirked at her, still trying to dodge being pulled under. He failed a few times and water plunged over his head.

She sent a splash his way. "Alright, I guess I can forgive you," she said with her eyes narrowed. "I trust that you would never let anything bad happen to your princess," she laughed. "But really, I'm not all that great at swimming."

"Of course I wont!" he agreed, laughing as he splashed her back.
"But you seem to be doing fine to me. Now, just don't drown yourself on purpose just so I'll have to save you." He winked at her.

Eidel rolled her eyes as she took his paw, pretending to have trouble staying afloat. "Oh, now why would I want to do that?" She smiled and then dove under the water.

He worried a little after her saying she wasn't that great of a swimmer, and now she needed him to hold onto. When she dived under the water he followed right after her, making sure to keep an eye on her, even thought somewhere inside he thought it was a little silly to worry so much. She was an adult after all. But he still wanted her to be safe.
