Cassie grinned wickedly as his body fell to the ground. But as it evaporated and she heard his voice from behind her, she whirled and took a step back, guns aimed and smoking once more. Her eyes were a little wide, her mind still not fully comprehending that anything could live after such an attack at such close range.
"So..." she stuttered, but took a breath and calmed herself. "So how are you things killed? Holy items? Blessed silver?" She smirked, hiding her confusion and discomfort under a heavy blanket of annoyance and rage.

James laughed "We die when it's our time, as for all soldiers on a battlefield. We die when we die, it's quite simple. Are you done yet? Or you just want to waste more munitions?" He asked her with a slight frown on his face.

James smirked "We're and elite group of Mercenaries, trained to kill in all aspect's of combat. We kill for the highest bidder, and never get associated with 'terrorist' group's for obvious reasons. We work for the countries government, and get paid by that very government.."

Since you know so much about me..." Cassie's voice dropped an octave, her gaze becoming heavy upon his. "...Than you should know."

James sighed "I'll cut you a deal than.." He said with only the very slightest thought of desperation. He wanted to wait if she would even be interested.

"Tell me what you have in mind and I'll tell you if I like it or not." Her voice remained flat and heavy with her growing irritation with James. She didn't care if she would have to waste every round and be forced to use her hunting knife which, considering what she had already seen he was capable of, wouldn't do much good. But she stood her ground, the first trickles of muscle ache creeping into her arms.

James smiled "I'll let you over view ever 'mark' that comes in, then you decides if you want to kill them or not. You choose who dies by your hand, either way they will die though. But you choose if you think you should want to kill them." He finished thinking it was at least a partly good deal seeing as how normally it was 'Do as your told or die'.

Keeping her aim steady, despite the growing strain from holding her stance for so long, she debated over the offer in her mind. After a few minutes, she finally sighed and stood straight, holstering her left gun. She offered her right hand for him to shake as she said, "I live by my own rules and laws, so don't expect to full every order like some hopeless pup. If you or any other person cross me the wrong way, I won't hesitate to either knock their face in, maim them or make a hole in there chest so that I can see through them. Understood?"

James took her hand and shook it lightly "You have no worries, the only other people that could cross you wrong are your target's... unless you want to go dig up the other mercenaries bodies..."

Cassie sneered at him for a second after taking her hand back. But then she laughed and shook her head. "You'll learn." She mumbled as she turned to look at her motorcycle.
"What sucks, is that it's only flat tires, and normally I could put new ones on myself." She looked over her shoulder at her burning Home. "But I can't do that now." She sighed, trying to decide what to do with her favorite toy.

"Don't worry about." He moved and picked the bike up and put it on his shoulder. "I'll take care of it when we get there." James moved next to her and whispered in her ear. "Your not the only one you lost your family though.." He moved away from her. "Now come on.." He started walking down the street.

Cassie huffed, not caring about James' past. She didn't know him and had no intention to get to know him any better than if she could trust him further than she could throw him. As she watched him pick up her motorcycle, a wave of panic hit her, thinking he was insane before remembering what he was.
"Damn immortal, magic s**t." she grumbled under her breath, keeping up with him, though walking about 2 yards away. "So where to?"

James chuckled softly before appearing next to to her and grabbing her arm lightly. They both disappeared and reappeared in the front hall of a mansion. He walked away from her in the front hall and set the bike down. "We couldn't walk here... even if we wanted too."

Cassie gasped as they magically appeared in some mansion foyer. She looked around in awe, forgetting to watch her back and acting totally out of character. After almost a minute, she shook herself and snapped back into her normal, cynical, on-guard, self. Her hands hovered by her guns as she now looked around for all routes of escape or entry, as well as places to hide.
"Where are we?"She asked James without looking at him.
