Lumicran_Minamoto: To be honest, I don't really read that much hetero anymore, either. ^^; Lol, one of my friends let me borrow some of her Fruits Basket manga, and by the end of the first volume, I was like, "Oh, my God, Yuki and Kyo would be so cute together! 4laugh " It didn't even register in my mind that the canon pairing was boy/girl--I had already jumped on the shounen-ai bandwagon. XD;
Yeah, it's a bit sad, really, when you think about it. She's just...one of those characters you can't help but hate. sweatdrop
@kupo-tenshi: I know exactly what you mean. While I do hate Kairi because she keeps Sora and Riku apart, that's not my only reason. For instance, I absolutely despise the fact that Kairi doesn't care about Riku at all. I mean, he allies himself with the darkness to find her, then after he's possessed by Ansem, he uses the last of his strength to save her, Donald, and Goofy from the Heartless, and then at the very end, he shuts himself in Kingdom Hearts so she and Sora can be happy. And is she even the least bit grateful? Of course not! When you talk to her in Traverse Town, she says, "You didn't see Riku? He must be okay. He can take care of himself." She doesn't even care. >>
Also, there's the fact that she's a complete Mary-Sue. rolleyes I mean, come on. She shows up from nowhere on the beach, within a couple years has both Riku and Sora (supposedly) fighting for her attention, then when the game actually starts, she falls into a coma, and at the very end, not only is she miraculously one of the most important characters in the game, but she's also the main character's principal love interest. To me, that just screams cliche.

My complaint is not legitimate enough. D:
I thought, as a character, Sora was too generic. I actually don't hate Sora. He's a cute little dork and I luff him sooooo. But, from what I played, he seemed mildly dull, as his character was done time and time over.
...I wish he was psychotic. sad

XD That is true. Well, based on what we've seen from magazine scans and trailers, it looks (*crosses fingers*) as if KH2 is going to be somewhat darker than the original. I'm hoping that Square will work off that and try to raise the target audience age, even if it's only by a little...
Ah, I honestly don't know if I'd like Kairi more if she was given a bigger role in KH2. I'm trying to imagine her fighting alongside Sora, and...I'm just not sure. While I might respect her more because she'd be doing something more productive than, say, crying over a couple pictures on the wall, I have a feeling Sora would spend most of his time trying to protect her, and he'd be like, "OMGZ, Kairi!!"
Ah, but isn't there that saying, 'Absence makes the heart grow fonder'? Hey, wait, Sora's been away from Riku longer than he has Kairi, right? Hmmm...*fangirl snicker*

It's just accepted that her character was completely pointless and annoying... ninja I agree with you. Kairi's character is only there to stop our 'beloved' boys from comitting yaoi with each other. x3 I've always noticed, especially when I was playing CoM, whenever Riku disappeared and stuff Sora would just suddenly get sad. He would do the dotdotdot thing and just say "Riku..." and I'm like, "TELL HIM YOU LOVE HIM DAMMIT! D<" at my gameboy screen. -w-; *sigh*

She never really was "good friends" with Riku and I hated how she was all, "Kay guyz, Imma gonna come along wif you in teh raft so go get teh suppliez So-ra~~~!!1! <3 Tehe, just you and me SOR~A!" -_-; It was RIKU'S idea in the first place to build a raft and leave and then Kairi comes in and basically takes Riku's place and then bosses everybody around. >>; Ugh, I know...>> If you ask me, Riku is truly the unsung hero of the game, and Kairi...pretty much steals all of the limelight for herself...>< kupo-tenshi I've always wished that Sora would get hungry one of these days and like cook Donald and eat him or something. o_o Yeah, but it's not too dark...lookie at this--> click here OMG rofl, Lion Sora. xDD Mmmm...Roast duck...Tehe... twisted

Yes! x3 There was also a part in the game where Vixen (I don't quite remember) was talking about Riku and using him and stuff and being all possesive. xP Anyways, Vixen refers to him as "His Riku" and Sora's like, "YOUR Riku!" and I'm like, "Oooo, jealous are we. xDD" lolz yes, I'm a freak. -w-;
