Renekai flinched, her eyes wide, as she saw Jen get punched and knocked out cold. "........," Renekai said worriedly. She could only hope that Aeon would have mercy...
Bell, meanwhile, hurled some more mud onto the frozen Abiba, well aware that Abiba would thaw completely after the attack. Maybe it would've lasted longer if it hadn't been the desert field... But no matter. Bell would have her victory!
Renekai stopped herself from chewing her fingers with difficulty; it looked like both she and Bell were doomed after the battle. She made a mental note to never be alone with Aeon until Renekai could be sure of her safety in his company.

Abiba managed to break free of the thin casing of ice just as another barrage of mud went flying at her. She yipped and tried to scamper out of the line of fire, only to get smacked in the back of the head when she turned around.
"Chu....." That really hurt! The Delibird didn't need to be so violent! Ears drooping, she rubbed the forming bruise as Abiba awaited the next battle command.
"RAICHU RAI! (Try Thunderbolt!)"
Ears perked up again, she spied her father sending her a thumbs-up from the trainer platform. DADDY! Bouncing happily and nodding, Abiba spun around and launched herself at Delibird as an electrical aura formed around the pikachu. She darted this way and that in a zig-zag pattern before bouncing straight at Bell.
Aeon clapped; a Volt Tackle! Interesting choice!

After yet another blow, Bell was starting to get used to it. This time she managed to keep her feet, though she staggered. That Abiba... So annoying... Bell's eyes narrowed to cold, purple slits. Things were getting more and more difficult with each hit.
Renekai frowned. Maybe it would be best if ChuChu went out again... But that seemed like cowardice. Besides, ChuChu was hardly better off in this battle; Bell was getting beat up with electric attacks, but ChuChu's HP was so low...
"Mu--," Renekai began, but was interrupted by...
"Rai rai chu! (Mud-Slap, Bell!)" ChuChu called out merrily. It seemed that she thought that it was time for the pokemon to give orders to their fellows; ChuChu was merely copying Aeon. She stuck out her tongue and wiggled her ears mockingly in Aeon's direction before bursting out laughing.
Bell sighed, rolled her eyes, and did as she was told.
Renekai began to worry. A critical hit... One miss... Renekai didn't dare complete the thought. The battle was about to end.

Abiba simply broke down and started sobbing. Too many Mud-Slap attacks! She hurt! She was dirty! And to top it off, her trainer was out cold on the platform! COULD THIS GET ANY WORSE?!
Aeon fumed and snarled at Bell; he gripping the support bars of the railing so hard they crumbled. (Strength is somewhat to blame for this) That blasted chicken had made his beloved baby girl cry! Ooooooohhh........she was going to pay....Sparks flying from his cheeks for a moment, he glanced at Abiba and shouted words of comfort to her.
Sniffing and wiping her nose with the back of her paws, Abiba stumbled to her feet. She could at least try to last! That much was possible! Getting the determined expression, Abiba charged and fired a last-ditch Thunderbolt attack with her remaining strength.

This was... so hard... Bell staggered again. She felt so tired... She hurt... Too much electricity. Bell was too tired to even notice Aeon fuming. With one final effort, Bell tossed some leftover mud at Abiba, noting that she was equally exauhsted. That little pikachu was tough, Bell had to admit.
Renekai looked as if she were being tortured, being forced to watch two pokemon that she knew and loved fighting to their limits.

The attack flopped just short of it's intended target. Wiping her eyes, little Abiba blinked...the Delibird was exhausted now, wait...was this what her trainer and father ment by "Now is the time to strike"?
Pulling herself to her feet, Abi gave a low "Chu" as her tail glowed silver/white again. Spinning like a dancer and dropping down on all fours, the pikachu wacked the hot sands below her paws towards the ice pokemon with the Iron Tail.
Jen punched a fist into the air at the attack. "Surf, desert-style!"

Bell was too tired to dodge, she just let the attack hit before slumping to one side. Her eyelids fluttered for a moment before closing. Bell had fainted.
"That was a close one! Alright, time to finish this! Go, ChuChu!"
"Rai!" shouted ChuChu, cheek pouches crackling with electricity.

Abiba was panting hard, swaying slightly from her exhaustion. She wasn't in any condition to continue battling and against Chuchu...
Glancing down at her Raichu, he and she nodded at the same time before Jen dug into her bag and pulled out something. It was time to make a grown-up decision, and one that might have saved her from a certain angry pokemon in the future.
"Sorry Rene, but I ain't putting my little gal through anymore battles today!" With a light bow, Jen tossed the scarlet-colored towel onto the field as a loud buzzer rangout. The field selection screen flashed: "Battle Over". "I give up."

Renekai sighed. Jen was right; Abiba was pooped.
ChuChu climbed back to Renekai, also panting.
"What they really need is the pokemon center. You fought well; it was a good battle!" Renekai smiled, trying not to feel guilty about Abiba.
